(54) SOLE STRUCTURE OF AN ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR


(57) A sole structure for an article of footwear, the sole structure comprising
a fluid-filled chamber having a central portion and a plurality of lobes extending outward from the central portion, the plurality of lobes forming a first portion of a peripheral side wall of the sole structure and
a midsole having a plurality of projections inter-fitted with the plurality of lobes and forming a second portion of the peripheral side wall of the sole structure,
the plurality of lobes including a rear medial lobe, a rear lateral lobe, a front medial lobe and a front lateral lobe,
wherein the rear medial lobe includes a first portion extending along the medial side of the sole structure and a second portion extending along a posterior end of the sole structure, and
wherein the rear lateral lobe includes a first portion extending along the lateral side of the sole structure and a second portion extending along a posterior end of the sole structure.
