(57) The present invention relates to methods, a coordinator and a device for switching coordinator in a personal area network. A method for switching coordinator in a personal area network including at least one coordinator and at least one device includes the steps of transmitting, by a coordinator, identification information of a new coordinator determined based on a location of the at least one device, to a device associated with the coordinator and releasing, by the coordinator, an association between the coordinator and the device.
