Technical Field of the Invention
[0002] The present disclosure belongs to the field of outdoor products, and relates to a
sunshade umbrella, in particular to an outdoor sunshade umbrella with a double-layer
top rod.
Background of the Invention
[0003] Sunshade umbrella is a commonly used outdoor leisure product, used to block sunlight
and also to shelter from wind and rain. It is generally placed in parks, squares,
beaches, and other places and is a necessary tool for outdoor activities. As an existing
multifunctional detachable handle-type sunshade umbrella, it comprises a connecting
rod connected to a support rod through hinge rotation, one end of the connecting rod
is fixedly connected to an umbrella spindle, and the umbrella spindle is fixedly connected
to an umbrella framework mounted with colored light lamps, an umbrella cloth is fixed
to the umbrella framework through silk thread, and a bottom end of the support rod
is fixedly connected to the top of a water tank base. This existing outdoor sunshade
umbrella has the following defects: (1) The main body of the umbrella cloth is located
on the top of the umbrella, which is an area that is difficult for ordinary consumers
to observe and does not have the value of printing advertisements, slogans, or patterns;
although the edges of the umbrella cloth of some sunshade umbrellas hang down on the
side of the umbrella, they are not fixed and are easily affected by wind and other
factors, resulting in uncertain shapes and affecting the display effect of advertisements,
slogans, or patterns; (2) The umbrella cloth is supported by a single layer of umbrella
framework, which has poor strength, especially for larger umbrellas.
Summary of the Invention
[0004] To solve at least one of the above technical solutions, the present disclosure provides
a sunshade umbrella, with an edge of the umbrella cloth thereof hanging downwards

Detailed Description of Exemplary Embodiments
[0022] The preferred embodiments of the present disclosure are explained below in detail
combining with the accompanying drawings so that the advantages and features of the
present disclosure can be easily understood by the skilled persons in the art. It
should be noted that the explanation on these implementations is to help understanding
of the present disclosure, and is not intended to limit the present disclosure. Further,
the technical features involved in the various embodiments of the present disclosure
described below may be combined with each other as long as they do not conflict with
each other.
[0023] Figure 1 to Figure 9 show an outdoor sunshade umbrella provided by an embodiment
of the present disclosure, which has an unfolded state as shown in Figure 2 and a
folded state as shown in Figure 5. As shown in Figure 1 to Figure 9, the sunshade
umbrella comprises an umbrella shaft 1 extending in an up-down direction, and a top
frame 2 and an umbrella cloth 3, the top frame 2 provided on an upper portion of the
umbrella shaft. A lower end portion of the umbrella shaft 1 is configured to be directly
or indirectly support on the ground, for example it can be inserted into a fixed base
on the ground, or directly into the sand. Specifically in this embodiment, the umbrella
shaft is an upright rod extending in the up-down direction.
[0024] As shown in Figure 1 to Figure 4, the umbrella cloth 3 has a main body portion 31
and a skirt portion 32, an upper edge of the skirt portion 32 is connected to an outer
edge of the main body portion 31, and a lower edge of the skirt portion 32 is connected
to the top frame 2, so that the skirt portion 32 is stretched by the top frame 2 and
extends downwards from the outer edge of the main body portion 31 at least after the
sunshade umbrella is unfolded. The skirt portion 32 is covered by a printing layer.
The printing layer is formed with advertisements, slogans, or patterns thereon. The
printing layer comprises, but is not limited to, ink coatings, polymer films with
patterns or text printed thereon (such as PVC films or PET films), etc. The skirt
portion 32 forms a plurality of vertical planes, and the planes formed by skirt portion
32 and the extension direction of the umbrella shaft 1 are parallel to each other.
In the perspective of overlooking, the skirt portion 32 forms a polygon, for example
a quadrangle.
[0025] As shown in Figure 2, the top frame 2 comprises a plurality of top rod assemblies,
each of the top rod assemblies comprises a first top rod 21 and a second top rod 22,
each of the first top rods 21 and the second top rods 22 has an inner end portion
and an outer end portion, respectively. The inner end portion of each of the first
top rods 21 is rotatably connected to an upper portion of the umbrella shaft 1. The
inner end portion of each of the second top rods 22 is rotatably connected to an upper
end portion of the umbrella shaft 1. The second top rods 22 correspond to the first
top rods 21 one-to-one and the second top rods 22 are located above the first top
rods 21. Each of the top rod assemblies further comprises at least one connecting
rod 23 between the first top rod 21 and the second top rod 22, specifically, the first
top rod 21 is rotatably connected to the connecting rod 23, and the second top rod
22 is rotatably connected to the connecting rod 23, so that the first top rod 21,
the connecting rod 23, the second top rod 22 and the umbrella shaft 1 form a four-bar
linkage. When the sunshade umbrella is in the unfolded state, the main body portion
31 of the umbrella cloth 3 covers on the second top rods 22, and the skirt portion
32 is stretched by the outer end portions of the first top rods 21 and the outer end
portions of the second top rods 22 or by the connecting rods 23. The lower edge of
the skirt portion 32 of the umbrella cloth is connected to the outer end portions
of the first top rods 21 or lower end portions of the connecting rods 23; the main
body portion 31 is connected to the inner end portions of the second top rods 22 and/or
the upper end portion of the umbrella shaft 1.
[0026] Specifically in this embodiment, the connecting rods 23 comprises first connecting
rods 231 and second connecting rods 232, the first connecting rods 231 are connected
to the outer end portions of the first top rods 21 and the outer end portions of the
second top rods 22, and lower end portions of the second connecting rods 232 are rotatably
connected to middle portions of the first top rods 21 and upper end portions thereof
are rotatably connected to middle portions of the second top rods 22. Further, upper
end portions of the first connecting rods 231 are rotatably connected to the outer
end portions of the second top rods 22, the outer end portions of the first top rods
21 are rotatably connected between the upper end portions and lower end portions of
the first connecting rods 231, and the lower end portions of the first connecting
rods 231 are located below the outer end portions of the first top rods 21. In other
words, the height of the first connecting rod 231 is greater than the height difference
between the first top rods 21 and the second top rods 22. In this embodiment, the
lower edge of the skirt portion 32 of the umbrella cloth is connected to the lower
end portions of the first connecting rods 231, and the skirt portion 32 of the umbrella
cloth is stretched by the first connecting rods 231 and tightened by the first connecting
rods 231 connected together, to facilitate the placement of advertisements, promotional
slogans, patterns, etc. on the skirt portion 32, which has a good display effect,
enriches the functions of the sunshade umbrella, or makes the sunshade umbrella more
beautiful. The height of the skirt portion 32 may be equal to the length of the first
connecting rods 231.
[0027] Specifically in this embodiment, the connecting rods 23 extend in an up-down direction,
and are preferably parallel to the umbrella shaft 1. The first connecting rods 231
and the second connecting rods 232 are parallel to each other and equal in length;
quadrilateral shapes formed by the top rods 21, the connecting rods 23, the second
rods 22 and the umbrella shaft 1 are parallelograms, making the volume of the sunshade
umbrella smaller after folding.
[0028] As shown in Figure 5 and Figure 8, the first top rods 21 or the second top rods 22
extend obliquely and downwards, that is to say, the inner end portions thereof is
higher than the outer end portions, so as to guide rainwater, dust or fallen leaves
to fall or avoid accumulation on the umbrella cloth.
[0029] The top frame 2 comprises a plurality of support rods 4 arranged obliquely. The umbrella
shaft is provided with a slider 5, and the slider 5 can slide along the umbrella shaft
1 up and down to control the unfolding and folding of the sunshade umbrella by sliding.
Specifically, an end portion of each of the support rod 4 is rotatably connected to
one of the first top rods 21, specifically connected between the inner end portions
and the outer end portions of the first top rods 21, and the lower end portions of
the support rods 4 are rotatably connected to the slider 5, so that the support rods
4, the first top rods 21 and the umbrella shaft 1 form a slider-crank mechanism. The
slider 5 is specifically a sliding sleeve mounted on the umbrella shaft 1.
[0030] As shown in Figure 5 to Figure 7, when the sunshade umbrella is in the unfolded state,
the second top rods 22 are located at a distance above the first top rods 21, and
the outer end portions of the first top rods 21 are preferably located right below
the outer end portions of the second top rods 22, so that the connecting rods 23 (in
this embodiment, specifically the first connecting rods 231) connected to the outer
end portions of both generally extend vertically, thus tighten and stretch the skirt
portion 32 of the umbrella cloth 3, to display advertisements, slogans, patterns or
the like thereon.
[0031] When folding is required, the slider 5 is pulled downward, the support rods 4 drive
the first top rods 21 to rotate and turn their outer end portions downward and inward;
the second top rods 22 and the connecting rods 23 are moved downward and inward along
with them; until the support rods 4 and the umbrella shaft 1 are close to each other,
the first top rods 21 and the umbrella shaft 1 are close to each other, the second
top rods 22 and the connecting rods 23 and the first top rods 21 are close to each
other, and the folded state is achieved, as shown in Figure 8 and Figure 9.
[0032] The sunshade umbrella is provided with the second top rods 22 above the first top
rods, and forms four-bar linkages between the first top rods 21, the second top rods
22, the connecting rods 23 and the umbrella shaft 1 through the connecting rods 23,
so that the sunshade umbrella can be folded normally, and meanwhile the skirt portion
32 of the umbrella cloth 3 is stretched by the first connecting rods 231, to obtain
a tightened and unfolded skirt portion 32, which remains unchanged in shape and is
located on the side of the sunshade umbrella, suitable for providing advertisements,
slogans, or patterns thereon, and has a good display effect; moreover, the top frame
2 is reinforced through the second top rods 22, which gives the sunshade good strength.
