TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The disclosure belongs to the technical field of household appliances, and specifically
relates to a washing machine and a control method thereof.
BACKGROUND
[0002] The washing machine uses water, clothing additives and mechanical operations to wash
and care the clothes, so that the clothes can achieve the expected washing and care
effect. With the improvement of the automation of washing machines, in the related
art, there is automatic detergent dispensing technology of washing machines. The washing
machine is configured to communicate the additive box containing detergent or/and
softener with the water inlet pipeline, and the detergent in the additive box is discharged
through the incoming water or/and softener into the wash drum.
[0003] Chinese patent with application number 201610797034.7 discloses a detergent delivery device for a washing machine and a washing machine
with the same. The detergent delivery device includes a storage cavity, and a special
detergent box is defined in the storage cavity. The special detergent box placement
groove is provided with a first ejector and a second ejector for puncturing the special
detergent box, and the first ejector has a water inlet hole, and the second ejector
has a water outlet hole, the first ejector and the second ejector are both configured
to be adapted for the water inlet hole and the water outlet hole to communicate with
the internal space of the special detergent box after the end is pierced into the
special detergent box.
[0004] The detergent dispensing device of the washing machine provided by the above application
can directly use boxed clothing additives, and the boxed clothing additives can be
used once, placed and used, and are easy to operate. But there are the following problems:
- 1. Since the additive box does not have a designated storage structure, users cannot
form good habits of fixed storage. The excess additive boxes purchased are placed
randomly and are easy to forget. When replacing the additive box, it takes a certain
amount of time to search, causing the replacement of the additive box. Problems such
as not being timely.
- 2. When the detergent dispensing device is dispensing detergent, if the detergent
remaining amount is insufficient, the user fails to replace the detergent box in time,
which will result in insufficient detergent dosage for this washing program, resulting
in poor clothing cleaning effect.
[0005] In view of this, the present disclosure is proposed.
SUMMARY

in the electronic label on each spare additive box in the spare additive box storage
structure;
determining whether there is the additive box of the additive type stored in the spare
additive box storage structure: if so, control a delivery of the corresponding additive
type of additive; if not, continue to alarm.
[0019] After adopting the above technical solution, the present disclosure has the following
beneficial effects compared with the prior art.
- 1. The present disclosure adds a spare additive box storage structure to the washing
machine box. The excess additive boxes purchased by users can be stored in the spare

take out the corresponding type of additive box from the spare additive box storage
structure and replace it, which reduces the search and replacement time and facilitates
timely replacement. Additive box brings great convenience to users.
- 2. In the washing machine control method provided by the present disclosure , during
the process of adding additives, within a set time after the washing machine sends
an alarm prompt to the user that the remaining amount of additives in the additive
adding device is insufficient: if the user is not detected to replace the new additives,
box, the spare additive suction device is controlled to start and the additives in
the spare additive box are injected into the washing machine. This effectively avoids
the problem of insufficient additive dosage due to the user's failure to replace the
additive box in time, resulting in poor laundry care effect.
- 3. The washing machine control method provided by the present disclosure uses an Electronic
label set on the additive box to identify the backup detergent box. When it is detected
that the remaining amount of a certain type of additive in the additive delivery device
is insufficient, and at the set time When the contents are not replaced in time, the
Electronic labels on each additive box in the spare additive box storage structure
can be identified through the second identification module. When a corresponding type
of additive is identified, the additive is controlled to be released, so as to realize
the storage structure of the spare additive box. The effect of accurately identifying
the types of additives in the additive boxes stored in the box and automatically dispensing
them not only has a high degree of automation and high dispensing efficiency, but
also can effectively avoid mis-dispensing.
[0020] Specific embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in further detail
below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

above the washing drum 5, and are distributed on the left and right sides of the washing
drum 5. On the other hand, since the water inlet waterway of the washing machine 6
is mostly located above the washing drum 5, the above design facilitates the connection
between the spare additive box 4 in the spare additive box storage structure 2 and
the water inlet waterway of the washing machine 6, simplifying the internal circuit
of the washing machine 6 setting.
[0074] Further, in this embodiment, the additive box 4 is provided with an electronic label
401, and the electronic label 401 stores additive information. Electronic labels 401
are provided on both the additive box 4 in the additive delivery device and the spare
additive box 4 stored in the spare additive box storage structure 2.
[0075] Preferably, the additive information includes the type, manufacturer, brand, production
date, concentration, ingredients and other relevant parameter information of the additive.
[0076] In this embodiment, the electronic label 401 stores at least the type information
of the additives stored in the additive box 4, such as detergent, softener, flavoring
agent, disinfectant, etc.
[0077] The electronic label 401 is an NFC tag set on the outer or inner wall of the additive
box 4. Of course, the electronic label 401 can also be an RFID tag set on the inner
or outer wall of the additive box 4. Since the information interaction effect of NFC
is better than that of RFID, moreover, NFC has the advantages of short distance, high
bandwidth, and low energy consumption, so it is more suitable for application in washing
machines 6.
[0078] In the above solution, the additive information stored inside the electronic label
401 is shipped from the factory. Preferably, the additive information inside the electronic
label 401 can be input or changed through the operating panel of the washing machine
6, or can be input through the mobile phone APP or change.
[0079] The electronic label 401 and the additive box 4 can be connected and fixed through
the following connection methods, such as integrated injection molding, screw fastening,
welding, pasting, snapping, etc.
[0080] Further, as shown in FIG. 1, the washing machine 6 also includes: a first identification
module 71, which is provided in the installation cavity or on the box body 1 and is
used to read the additive information in electronic label 401 on each additive box
4 in the additive dispenser 3.
[0081] The first identification module 71 is a first RFID reader or a first NFC reader that
is installed on the integrated waterway cover on the top of the box body 1 or in the
installation cavity corresponding to each additive box 4 in the additive dispenser
3. The additive information in the electronic label 401 on each additive box 4 in
the additive dispenser 3 can be read.
[0082] Preferably, as shown in Figure 1, it also includes: a second identification module
72, which is arranged in the spare additive box storage structure 2 or on the integrated
waterway cover on the top of the box body 1, and is used to read the additive information
in the electronic label 401 on each spare additive box 4 of the spare additive box
storage structure 2.
[0083] The second identification module 72 is a second RFID reader or a second NFC reader
that is installed on the box body 1 or in the spare additive box storage structure
2 corresponding to each additive box 4 in the spare additive box storage structure
2, the additive information in the electronic label 401 on each spare additive box
4 in the spare additive box storage structure 2 can be read.
[0084] Specifically, the second identification module 72 can identify the type of additive
in the additive box 4 placed in each storage position in the spare additive box storage
structure 2.
[0085] As shown in Figures 1 to 6, this embodiment also provides a control method with the
above-mentioned washing machine 6. As shown in Figure 5, the method includes:
during the process of adding additives, the washing machine 6 sends an alarm prompt
to the user that the remaining amount of additives in the additive adding device is
insufficient within a set time,
if it is still not detected that the user replaces a new additive box 4, the spare
additive suction device 11 is controlled to start, and the additive in the spare additive
box 4 is put into the washing machine 6.
[0086] The washing machine control method provided by this embodiment, during the process
of adding additives, the washing machine 6 sends an alarm prompt to the user that
the remaining amount of additives in the additive adding device is insufficient within
a set time: if the user is not detected to replace the new additives, box 4, the spare
additive suction device 11 is controlled to start, and the additives in the spare
additive box 4 are put into the washing machine 6, effectively avoiding the insufficient
amount of additives caused by the user's failure to replace the additive box 4 in
time, resulting in laundry deterioration.
[0087] Further preferably, as shown in Figure 6, the method further includes the following
steps:
during the process of adding additives;
after the washing machine issues an alarm prompt to the user that the additive balance
in the additive delivery device is insufficient;
if it is still not detected that the user has replaced a new additive box, obtain
the additive type of the additive box 4 in the additive delivery device that has not
been replaced in time;
control the second identification module 72 to start and read the additive information
in the Electronic label 401 on each spare additive box 4 in the spare additive box
storage structure 2;
determine whether there is an additive box 4 of this type stored in the spare additive
box storage structure 2: if so, control the release of the corresponding type of backup
additive; if not, continue to alarm.
[0088] The washing machine control method provided by this embodiment uses the electronic
label 401 set on the additive box 4 to identify the spare detergent box. When it is
detected that the remaining amount of a certain type of additive in the additive delivery
device is insufficient, and it is not replaced in the setting time, the electronic
label 401 on each additive box 4 in the spare additive box storage structure 2 can
be identified through the second identification module 72. When a corresponding type
of additive is identified, the additive is controlled to be released to realize the
control. The effect of accurately identifying the types of additives in the additive
box 4 stored in the spare additive box storage structure 2 and automatically dispensing
them not only has a high degree of automation and high dispensing efficiency, but
also can effectively avoid the occurrence of mis-dispensing.
