(57) Unlike other existing fabrics which, in order for the outer and inner faces thereof
to have different features, one hydrophilic and the other liquid-repellent, a fabric
with a bilayer structure is required, the invention allows these features to be obtained
in a single fabric layer, such that starting from 100% recycled polyester threads,
with silver ions, in which the thread has a multifilament structure and a cross section
with multiple channels along the longitudinal cross section thereof, the thread is
subjected to a weaving process (2) in which a double-faced circular knitted fabric
is made, having a "smoother" outer face, and an inner face with a three-dimensional
"piqué"-type weave, subjecting the fabric to a process of thermosetting (3), washing
(4), dyeing (5) and applying a bath (6) of a hydrophilic product, such that a stain-resistant
product is applied to the outer face of the fabric using a roller (7) to finally subject
the same to a second thermosetting phase (8).
