[0001] The present invention relates to a dishwasher comprising a filter.
[0002] In dishwashers, dirt and stains on the dishes are removed by means of the spraying
arms which spray water. Dirt dispersing into the washing tub is filtered by means
of the strainer provided at the base of the dishwasher. Thus, dirt is prevented from
entering the water line and clogging the line. The strainer is detachably mounted
onto the base of the dishwasher. Thus, the strainer can be easily detached by the
user to be washed and cleaned. Dirt smaller than the holes of the strainer is held
by a filter which has smaller holes and which is detachably mounted onto the strainer.
A micro filter which retains even smaller dirt particles is attached to the filter.
The filter and the micro filter collect dirt particles thereon in the course of time
and are required to be detached and washed by the user. In order to ensure that the
washing performance is high, the filter and the micro filter are detached from the
dishwasher and replaced by the user. However, dirt accumulating on the filter causes
a bad appearance and bad odor in the dishwasher. Moreover, there may be situations
where the filter and micro filter cannot be properly attached in place in the dishwasher
during the assembly. Sometimes, the user continues the washing process without realizing
that the filter and micro filter are dirty, and problems such as dirt sticking to
kitchen items arise.
[0003] In the state of the art International Patent Application No.
WO2019068528, a dishwasher is disclosed, which enables the micro filter to be washed by creating
a vortex in the sump.
[0004] The aim of the present invention is the realization of a dishwasher comprising a
sump which enables the filter and the micro filter to be washed.
[0005] The dishwasher realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated
in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a body; a washing
tub which is disposed in the body; a filtering member which is provided on the base
of the washing tub; and a filter which is detachably attached to the filtering member.
The filter has a fine filter, which retains smaller particles, and a coarse filter,
which retains larger particles. By means of the filter, the dirt particles which are
removed from over the kitchen items during the washing are retained and are prevented
from reaching the sump. Thus, the dirt particles are prevented from reaching electronic
components and from adversely affecting the washing performance.
[0006] The dishwasher of the present invention comprises a delivery line which almost surrounds
the inner wall of the sump and a plurality of openings which enable water to be delivered
from the delivery line to the fine filter. The water is enabled to be guided by means
of the delivery line arranged on the inner wall of the sump. By means of the openings
provided on the delivery line, the water is delivered to the filter. Thus, the filter
is washed.
[0007] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises the delivery
line having a channel which enables the water taken from the mains to be delivered
to the delivery line, and an inlet opening which is provided on the sump. By means
of the channel, the water is delivered to the delivery line. The channel is disposed
on the inlet opening provided on the sump. Thus, the water is enabled to be delivered
to the delivery line.
[0008] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises the opening which
is inclined so as to enable the water to be delivered to the filter. The openings
enable the water in the delivery line to be guided so as to reach the filter. The
openings are configured to be inclined from the delivery line to the filter.
[0009] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises the delivery
line which is detachably attached onto the inner wall of the sump. The delivery line
can be detachably attached onto the sump, which enables the former to be easily cleaned
[0010] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises a housing which
is arranged almost all around the inner wall of the sump and whereon the delivery
line is attached. The delivery line is attached to and placed on the sump by means
of the housing. Thus, the water can be delivered through the delivery line.
[0011] By means of the present invention, a dishwasher is realized, wherein the filter extending
into the sump is enabled to be washed with the water delivered to the sump.
[0012] A dishwasher realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is illustrated

[0014] The dishwasher (1) comprises a body (2); a washing tub (3) which is disposed in the
body (2) and wherein the washing process is performed; at least one rack (4) which
is disposed in the washing tub (3) and whereon the kitchen items are placed by the
user; at least one spraying member (5) which sprays water onto the rack (4); a sump
(6) which is disposed under the washing tub (3) and which receives the water leaving
the washing tub (3); a filtering member (7) which is disposed over the sump (6) at
the base (T) of the washing tub (3); and a filter (10) which is detachably attached
onto the filtering member (7) and which has a fine filter (8) retaining dirt particles
and a coarse filter (9) detachably attached to the fine filter (8) and retaining dirt
particles. The kitchen items placed onto the rack (4) are cleaned by means of the
water delivered by the spraying member (5). The water used during the washing accumulates
on the sump (6) disposed at the base (T) of the washing tub (3). By means of the filtering
member (7) disposed on the sump (6), the dirt removed from the kitchen items is prevented
from reaching the sump (6). The dirt particles passing through the filtering member
(7) are retained by the filter (10). The filter (10) comprises a coarse filter (9)
and a fine filter (8). Thus, dirt is retained before reaching the electronic components
and the washing components.
[0015] The dishwasher (1) of the present invention comprises a delivery line (11) which
almost surrounds the inner wall of the sump (6) and a plurality of openings (12) which
enable water to be delivered from the delivery line (11) to the filter (10). By means
of the delivery line (11) disposed all around the sump (6), water is delivered to
the filter (10). The delivered water is delivered to the filter (10) through the openings
(12). Thus, the filter (10) is enabled to be washed.
[0016] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises the delivery
line (11) having a channel (13) which enables the water taken from the mains to be
delivered to the delivery line (11), and an inlet opening (14) which is provided on
the sump (6) and whereon the channel (13) is disposed. The water taken from the mains
is delivered to the delivery line (11) through the channel (13). The channel (13)
is seated onto the inlet opening (14) provided on the sump (6). Thus, the water taken
from the mains is enabled to be delivered without decreasing the flow rate.
[0017] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises the opening
(12) which is inclined so as to enable the water to be delivered to the filter (10).
By means of the inclined structure of the opening (12), the water is enabled to be
delivered to the desired region on the filter (10). Thus, the filter (10) can be more
efficiently washed.
[0018] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises the delivery
line (11) which is detachably attached onto the inner wall of the sump (6). The delivery
line (11) is configured to be detachably attached to the inner wall of the sump (6).
The delivery line (11) can be detached from the sump (6) and washed by the user. Thus,
any clogging therein can be prevented.
[0019] In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises a housing
(15) which is arranged almost all around the inner wall of the sump (6) and whereon
the delivery line (11) is attached. The delivery line (11) can be attached onto the
housing (15) arranged on the inner wall of the sump (6). The housing (15) ensures
the placement of the delivery line (11).
[0020] By means of the present invention, a dishwasher (1) is realized, comprising a delivery
line (11) which enables the filter (10) provided on the sump (6) to be washed. Thus,
the filter (10) which gets dirty in the course of time is kept clean without requiring
the control of the user. Consequently, the washing performance is improved.

(5) which sprays water onto the rack (4); a sump (6) which is disposed under the washing
tub (3) and which receives the water leaving the washing tub (3); a filtering member
(7) which is disposed over the sump (6) at the base (T) of the washing tub (3); and
