(57) The present invention relates to an oven and a method for controlling the same. An oven according to an idea of the present invention comprises: a case; a cooking chamber formed inside the case; and a door installed at one side of the case so as to expose/cover the cooking chamber, wherein the door comprises: an outer plate forming the exterior thereof; an inner plate spaced a predetermined distance apart from the outer plate and in contact with the cooking chamber, and a door display disposed between the outer plate and the inner plate so as to display predetermined information toward the outer plate.
