(54) SYSTEM FOR SLEEP QUALITY ENHANCEMENT

(57) Summary: System for sleep quality enhancement, according to the invention, it assumes a unitary body composed of an elastic rectangular structure of thermo-sensitive elements that react to the local temperature variation, depending on which it adapts the shape of the rest mattresses between the layers of which it is embedded, that it modifies according to the shape of each user's body and returns to its original shape after each use, so that it represents an appropriate solution for the role it fulfills.
The summary of the invention will be published together with figure 1.

Description

[0001] The invention relates to a system for sleep quality enhancement by improving the comfort of rest mattresses, due to the shape memory property of the material from which it is made, characterized by mechanical and elastic sensitivity to the user's body temperature.

[0002] In the purpose of sleep quality enhancement, there are known several solutions (CN215583645U, CN209950846U, CN209152820U) which consists, mainly, of rest mattresses which are realized of several layers made of different elements (springs, foams and/or threads) and various materials (natural, synthetic and/or metal alloys), with different properties, that support the user's weight in a balanced way, depending on the shape of the body (memory effect), so that he can rest healthy and benefit from superior comfort.

[0003] Some of the disadvantages of the described solutions are related to that, the combination of elements and materials that make up the layers of the rest mattresses occupy a large volume and are heavy, which is why they are difficult to handle and maintain, and the mechanical and/or elastic properties they have (effect of memory) change and lose depending on the weight of the user and the usage degree, for which the shape of his body tends to become remanent in the worn areas, so the therapeutic effect diminishes and the comfort it offers decreases with time.

[0004] The invention solves, mainly, a technical problem by which, it allows the integration into the rest mattresses, so that it reduces the need for layers in the composition and the number of materials involved, simultaneously with maintaining and/or restoring the memory effect, through the thermo-mechanical conversion of thermal energy dissipated by the user's body, in exchange for which the quality of life and sleep is increased in the long term.

[0005] System for sleep quality enhancement, according to the invention, it surprises the presented disadvantages and problems, in that it assumes, mainly, a unitary body composed of an elastic rectangular structure of thermo-sensitive elements that react to the local temperature variation, depending on which it adapts the shape of the rest mattresses between the layers of which it is embedded, that it modifies according to the shape of each user's body and restores it after each use, so that it represents an appropriate solution for the role it fulfills.

[0006] The invention has the following advantages:
  • The system introduces new possibilities for improving the user's health and comfort, by enhancing the sleep quality;
  • The system presents constructive simplicity and advantageous form;
  • The system can be easily embedded between the layers of rest mattresses;
  • The system allows the simultaneous implementation of similar or equivalent solutions;
  • The system reduces the number of layers from which the rest mattresses are made, respectively their volume and weight;
  • The system does not depend on additional energy sources, other than the thermal energy of the user's body;
  • The system reduces the frequency of maintenance and/or replacement of rest mattresses;
  • The system does not require maintenance.

[0007] Below is further given an embodiment of the invention in connection with the following figures:
  • Fig. 1 - System for sleep quality enhancement (top view).

[0008] System for sleep quality enhancement, is characterized mainly, in that it assumes a unitary body made up of an elastic rectangular system, composed of the perimeter wire 1, the longitudinal string of springs 2 (min. 3 strings), and the transverse string of springs 3 (min. 2 strings), which constitute elements made of intelligent materials, of a metallic nature (an alloy of nickel and titanium - nitinol [NiTi]) with the shape memory property (manifests a mechanical response due to temperature sensitivity - austenite state or martensite state), so that in the active state at low temperature (T < 34°C) develops a rigid shape, mesh with outline and square mesh, and in inactive state at high temperature (T > 35°C) develops a flexible form due to the heating from the human body, by decreasing the elastic constant of the spring, determined by the shape of the user's body, as it is intended for integration between the layers of rest mattresses.

[0009] Sleep quality enhancement assumes that, due to the integration of the system between the layers of the rest mattresses, when the user is in contact with their supporting surface and heats by thermal conduction the elastic braid, composed of the perimeter wire 1, the longitudinal string of springs 2, and the transverse string of springs 3, for which the temperature of the material rises above the value of the constructively defined transformation temperature (T > Tt'), then the affected component elements are subject to the shape memory effect at high temperature (T > 35°C), due to which the elastic braid becomes flexible and stretches to the shape of the user's body, and when the same elastic braid cools, whereby the material temperature falls below the value of the constructively defined transformation temperature (T < Tt"), then the affected component parts are subject to the low temperature shape memory effect (T < 34°C), due to which the elastic braid becomes rigid throughout and returns to its constructively defined shape.

[0010] System for sleep quality enhancement, according to the invention, can be reproduced with the same performances and characteristics whenever is necessary, for any application compatible with it or parts thereof, a fact that constitutes an argument in favor of meeting the criterion of industrial applicability.
