Field of application
[0001] The present invention is generally applicable to the technical field of the articles
transportable by people and, in particular, refers to a multifunctional transportable
container.
Prior art
[0002] In the luggage sector, the use of suitcases, trunks, trolleys, backpacks and the
like for the transport of objects is well widespread, and, recently, multifunctional
luggage products have found widespread use, that is, that luggage able to satisfy
needs also differing from simply transporting objects.
[0003] In the prior art, for example, there are particular backpacks that integrate a structure
in which an umbrella can be housed or with which the umbrellas themselves are associated,
so as to allow a person to protect himself/herself from rainfall without using their
hands.
[0004] However, such known devices comprise complex structures that necessarily involve
considerable costs. Moreover, the integration of umbrellas does not allow to obtain
adequate cover unless the weight of the backpack itself is significantly burdened.
[0005] In addition thereto, in the prior art there are other luggage products, generally
backpacks, which are coupled with systems capable of creating a seating for a user
in order to allow them to rest or stop easily even in impervious places.
[0006] However, even in this case, the known systems are very complex and overload the bags
and/or backpacks to which they are applied with the consequent transport difficulties.
[0007] In addition, the known multifunctional suitcases or backpacks provide a seating system
not suitable, for example, for creating a deckchair suitable for accommodating a lying
person.
[0008] The limitations and complexities of realization and use of these systems entail high
costs and a cautious interest on the part of the people who have inevitably limited
their dissemination.
Presentation of the invention
[0009] Aim of the present invention is to provide a multifunctional transportable container
that allows to at least partially overcome the drawbacks highlighted above.
[0010] In particular, an aim of the present invention is to provide a transportable container
capable of carrying multiple objects.
[0011] Another aim of the present invention is to provide a container that allows a comfortable
seating to be created for a user in case of need.
[0012] A further aim of the present invention is to provide a container in which the seating
system is simpler, lighter and less cumbersome than the known equivalent devices.
[0013] Another aim of the present invention is to provide a transportable container shaped
to also provide a user with a cover.
[0014] The aforesaid aims, as well as others that will appear more clearly below, are achieved
by a multifunctional transportable container in accordance with the following claims
which are to be considered an integral part of the present patent.
[0015] In particular, it comprises at least one backrest, at least one main compartment
suitable for containing the objects to be transported and at least one outer surface
opposite the backrest.
[0016] Furthermore, the container of the invention comprises at least one seat rotoidally
coupled to at least a first coupling point of the container. This seat is shaped to
pass through rotation from at least a first configuration in which it is positioned
near the outer surface so as not to hinder the transport of the container itself,
to at least a second configuration in which it is instead rotated towards the backrest
so as to create a seating for a user including the seat and the backrest.
[0017] In addition thereto, the container also comprises at least one stabilizing element
rotoidally coupled to at least a second coupling point of the container. Similarly
to what has been said for the seat, the stabilizing element is also shaped to pass
through rotation from at least a third configuration in which it is positioned near
the outer surface so as not to hinder transport, to at least a fourth configuration
in which it is rotated to create a rest body for the backrest so as to support it
stably at any inclination.
[0018] Advantageously, the container of the invention allows multiple objects to be transported
within the main compartment.
[0019] Furthermore, still advantageously, the seat operatively coupled to the container
itself makes it possible to easily create a seating for a person. In fact, the movement
of the seat by rotation thereof simplifies the operations compared to the equivalent
devices present in the prior art.
[0020] Moreover, still advantageously, the presence of the stabilizing element, also easily
moved by rotation, allows the backrest to be arranged according to the desired inclination.
In this way it is possible to improve the comfort of the seating while maintaining
its stability.
[0021] The ease of the coupling and of the movement from one configuration to the other
of the seating and of the stabilizing element make, still advantageously, the container
of the invention lighter and easier to use compared to known containers.
[0022] In addition, still advantageously, the ease of the system for creating the seating
that provides for the seat and the stabilizing element to pass from one configuration
to another by rotation implies a limitation of the construction costs of the container
of the invention.
[0023] In light of the above, it is evident that the described purposes are also achieved
by a kit for completing a transportable container comprising at least one main compartment
suitable for containing the objects to be transported and at least one outer surface
opposite the backrest.
[0024] In particular, the kit of the invention comprises at least one seat rotoidally coupled
to at least one first coupling point of the container. This seat is shaped to pass
through rotation from at least a first configuration in which it is positioned near
the outer surface so as not to hinder the transport of the container itself, to at
least a second configuration in which it is instead rotated towards the backrest so
as to create a seating for a user including the seat and the backrest.
[0025] In addition thereto, the container also comprises at least one stabilizing element
rotoidally coupled to at least a second coupling point of the container. Similarly
to what has been said for the seat, the stabilizing element is also shaped to pass
through rotation from at least a third configuration in which it is positioned near
the outer surface so as not to hinder transport, to at least a fourth configuration
in which it is rotated to create a rest body for the backrest so as to support it
stably at any inclination.
Brief description of the drawings
[0026] Further features and advantages of the invention will become more apparent in the
light of the detailed description of some preferred, but not exclusive, embodiments
of a multifunctional transportable container according to the invention, illustrated
by way of non-limiting example with the aid of the accompanying drawing tables in
which:
figures 1 to 3 represent the container of the invention with seating, stabilizing
element and covers arranged in different configurations.
Detailed description of an exemplary preferred embodiment
[0027] With reference to the cited figures, a multifunctional transportable container
1 according to the invention is described. According to the embodiment of the invention
being described, said container
1 is a backpack
2, obviously this aspect is not to be understood as limiting for different embodiment
variants of the invention where, for example, the container is another luggage product
(a bag, a trolley, a suitcase).
[0028] According to one aspect of the invention, the container
1 comprises a backrest
4, a main compartment
5 and an outer surface
6. In particular, the backrest
4 typically, but not necessarily, comprises a semi-rigid panel
8 shaped to facilitate resting the backrest
4 itself on the back of a user.
[0029] The compartment
5 is shaped to store the objects to be transported and is interposed between the backrest
4 and the outer part
6. In other words, the outer surface
6 is opposite the backrest
4 with respect to the main compartment
5.
[0030] Advantageously, the main compartment
5 allows, as mentioned, to store one or more objects inside in order to easily transport
them, thus fulfilling the primary function of the luggage products.
[0031] Obviously, the number of compartments is not to be considered limiting for different
embodiment variants of the invention where, for example, the container comprises more
than one compartment.
[0032] According to another aspect of the invention, the container
1 also comprises a seat
10 rotoidally coupled to a first coupling point
12 of the container
1 itself, i.e. coupled so as to allow its rotation. This seat
10 is shaped to be arranged, through rotation, at least according to two configurations:
a first configuration in which the seat
10 is positioned near the outer surface
6 so as not to hinder the transport of the container
1 (see Fig. 3) and a second configuration in which the seat
10 is rotated towards the backrest
4 so as to create a seating together with the backrest
4 itself (see Figs. 1 and 2).
[0033] In other words, in the second configuration the seat
10 rotates shifting towards the backrest
4 until it is arranged so that the seat
10 itself and the backrest
4 of the container
1 form a chair for the user.
[0034] According to the embodiment of the invention being described, the seat
10 is extendable, for example by means of telescopic poles, so as to allow an extension
of the seating and therefore allow a person to lie down as if he/she were in a deckchair.
Obviously, this aspect should not be understood as limiting to different embodiment
variants of the invention where, for example, the seat is not extendable.
[0035] According to a further aspect of the invention, the container
1 of the invention also comprises a stabilizing element
13 rotoidally coupled to a second coupling point
15 of the container
1 itself. Similar to what has been said for the seat
10, the stabilizing element
13 is also shaped to pass through rotation from a third configuration in which it is
positioned near the outer surface
6 (see Figs. 2 and 3), so as not to hinder the transport of the container by a person,
to a fourth configuration in which the stabilizing element
13 creates a rest body for the backrest
4 so as to support it at any inclination (see Fig.1).
[0036] In other words, in the fourth configuration the stabilizing element
13 is arranged so as to prop up the backrest
4 by supporting its weight and thus make the seating created in the second configuration
stable.
[0037] Advantageously, therefore, the container
1 of the invention allows, in addition to the transport of one or more objects, to
rotate the seat
10 and the stabilizing element
13 to create a kind of chair/deckchair including a backrest
4.
[0038] The ease of the coupling of the seat
10 and of the stabilizing element
13, typically but not necessarily made by means of a pin not represented in the figures,
allow, still advantageously, to facilitate the movement of the same.
[0039] Still advantageously, the use of the stabilizing element
13 improves the support of the backrest
4 compared to the known devices by allowing it to be tilted at any angle.
[0040] According to the embodiment being described, the container
1 also comprises constraint mechanisms, not represented in the figures, which allow
the seat
4 and/or the stabilizing element
13 to be locked in the respective configurations. Obviously, the nature of the constraint
mechanisms should not be understood as limiting different embodiment variants of the
invention where, for example, they comprise mechanical and/or magnetic constraints.
[0041] According to another aspect of the invention, the container
1 comprises a cover
18 operatively coupled to the container
1 itself. In particular, the cover
18 is shaped to pass from a fifth configuration in which it is also positioned near
the outer surface
6 so as not to hinder the transport of the container
1 (see Figs. 2 and 3), and according to a sixth configuration in which it is arranged
so as to cover a user positioned on the seat
10 (see Fig. 1) arranged in the second configuration.
[0042] Advantageously, the cover
18 allows an additional functionality to be added to the container
1 of the invention, which is thus shaped to create a user protection area.
[0043] In particular, according to the embodiment of the invention being described, the
cover
18 comprises elastic material capable of guaranteeing a protection of at least 50 UV,
typically but not necessarily such material comprises lycra. Obviously, the material
of the cover should not be understood as limiting different embodiment variants of
the inventions, which guarantee the UV protection and elasticity of the cover.
[0044] For example, according to an embodiment variant of the invention not represented
in the figures, the cover comprises waterproof material.
[0045] According to the embodiment being described, the invention also comprises a bag
20, typically but not necessarily trapezoidal in shape, coupled to the outer surface
6 and shaped to contain therein the cover
18.
[0046] Thus, advantageously, the bag
20 allows the cover
18 arranged according to the sixth configuration to be stored, limiting its overall
dimensions and preventing it from hindering the transport of the container
1.
[0047] Furthermore, again according to the embodiment being described, the cover
18 comprises telescopic poles
22 which advantageously allow it to be extended so as to increase the covered surface
while maintaining stiffness.
[0048] In addition thereto, the cover
18 optionally comprises a butterfly-like adjustment system, also not represented in
the figures, which allows to adjust the width of the cover
18, distancing the telescopic poles
22 from each other, so as to further increase the covered surface.
[0049] According to another aspect of the invention, the transportable container
1 also comprises a strap
25 operatively coupled to the stabilizing element
13. This strap
25, typically but not necessarily made of elastic material, allows the stabilizing element
13 to be moved by adjusting the angle of rotation by tensioning the strap
25 itself.
[0050] Then, advantageously, by tensioning the strap
25, for example by pulling it, it is possible to move the stabilizing element
13 from the third to the fourth configuration, adjusting the angle of the stabilizing
element
13 and, consequently, the inclination of the backrest
4.
[0051] According to a further aspect of the invention, the strap
25 is also operatively coupled to the cover
18 and by means of its tensioning it is also possible to adjust the arrangement of the
cover
18.
[0052] Moreover, according to the embodiment of the invention being described, the adjustment
of the angle of rotation of the stabilizing element
13 and the arrangement of the cover
18 by tensioning the strap
25 are integral.
[0053] In fact, the tensioning of the strap
25, when it is operatively coupled to both the stabilizing element
13 and the cover
18, inevitably produces an effect on both by integrally adjusting the aforesaid angle
and arrangement.
[0054] Still advantageously, this allows to optimize the surface covered by the cover
18 as a function of the inclination of the backrest
4 and, therefore, of the position of a seated person.
[0055] Operationally, the multifunctional transportable container
1 can be configured for easy transport when the seat
10, the stabilizing element
13 and/or the cover
18 are respectively arranged according to the first, third and fifth configuration.
[0056] In case of a stop, the user can move the seat
10 and the stabilizing element
13 by rotating them with respect to the respective coupling points
12 and
15 to arrange them respectively according to the second and fourth configuration so
as to set up a chair/deckchair on which to relax.
[0057] In addition, the user can remove the cover
18 from the possible bag
20 to protect themselves from shade or bad weather.
[0058] These operations, in the embodiment of the invention being described, are performed
by tensioning the strap
25, which is operatively coupled to the cover
18 and the stabilizing element
13 to control its angle of rotation and arrangement.
[0059] This strap
25 can also be generally coupled to the seat
10 so as to allow the user to control its tensioning even while sitting.
[0060] In light of the above, it is evident that the object of the invention is also a kit
for completing, not represented in the figures, a transportable container comprising
a backrest, a main compartment and an outer surface as reported above.
[0061] In particular, said kit comprises a seat
10 couplable rotoidally to a first coupling point
12 of the container. The seat
10 is shaped to pass through rotation from a first configuration in which it is positioned
neat the outer surface so as not to hinder the to a second configuration in which
it is rotated towards the backrest so as to create a seating for a user.
[0062] In addition, the kit also comprises a stabilizing element
13, couplable rotoidally to a second coupling point
15 of the container, and shaped to pass through rotation from a third configuration,
in which it is positioned near the outer surface so as not to hinder the transport
of the container, to a fourth configuration in which it is rotated to create a rest
body for the backrest so as to support it stably at any inclination.
[0063] In addition thereto, the kit also comprises a cover
18 operatively couplable to the container and shaped to pass from at least a fifth configuration,
in which it is positioned near the outer surface so as not to hinder the transport
of the container, to at least a sixth configuration in which it is arranged so as
to cover at least one user sitting on the seat when arranged according to the second
configuration.
[0064] Still, the kit comprises a strap
25 operatively coupled to the stabilizing element
13 and/or to the cover
18 and suitable to respectively allow the adjustment of the angle of rotation and to
adjust the arrangement by tensioning the strap
25 itself.
[0065] A complete description of the completion kit of the invention is omitted here as
it would be repetitive of what has already been written on the subject during the
description of the multifunctional transportable container
1. What is observed is that it allows to achieve all the advantages mentioned above.
[0066] In light of the foregoing, it is therefore understood that the multifunctional transportable
container of the invention achieves all the set aims.
[0067] In particular, it firstly allows to transport multiple objects inside the main compartment
thereof.
[0068] In addition, the container of the invention allows a seating to be created for a
user to be used in case of need but which does not in any way hinder the transport
of the container itself.
[0069] Still, the container of the invention comprises a system for creating the seating
that is based on the rotation of the seat and of the stabilizing element, thus making
the operations for creating the seating very easy.
[0070] Consequently, the container of the invention is very light and the production costs
are limited.
[0071] The invention is susceptible to numerous modifications and variations, all falling
within the appended claims. All the details may be replaced by other technically equivalent
