(57) An information processing apparatus is provided which include a display control unit that causes a touch panel to display a slider to specify one of specifiable values by an operating body as a specified value and a start edge value and an end edge value stored in a storage unit and if the touch panel acquires position information indicating position on the slider, decides a value corresponding to the position information as the specified value and also decides an interval to decide a new specifiable range in accordance with a contact state quantity acquired by the contact state quantity acquisition unit, specifies the new specifiable range based on the interval using the specified value as a reference.
