DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ILLUSTRATED EMBODIMENTS
[0017] The vaporizer of the disclosure may be connected with a battery part to constitute
an electronic cigarette. For convenience of description, the terms, such as "upper",
"lower", "upper portion", "lower portion", "upper end", "lower end", "upper surface",
"lower surface", "upwards", "downwards", "transverse", and "vertical" as used herein
for illustrating various components, refer to position and orientation relationships
when the base of the vaporizer is vertically disposed to face upwards, as shown in
FIG.2.
Embodiments of the disclosure
[0018] The disclosure will be further explained in detail with reference to particular embodiments.
Embodiments
[0019] Referring to FIG. 1, the vaporizer of the disclosure is provided with a housing 1,
and a vaporizing support 2, a vaporizing core 3, a vaporizing base 4, a vaporizer
base 5, and a bottom cover 6 are disposed in the housing 1. Herein, the vaporizing
core 3 comprises a porous liquid guiding element and a heating element (not shown
in the drawings) disposed on the surface of the porous liquid guiding element. A chamber
defined in an upper portion of the housing 1 serves as a liquid storage chamber for
storing the vaporizing liquid. The porous liquid guiding element can absorb the vaporizing
liquid from the liquid storage chamber. When the vaporizer operates, the heating element
is energized to generate heat, such that the vaporizing liquid on the surface of the
porous liquid guiding element can be heated and atomized to produce aerosol.
[0020] Referring to FIGs.2-8, the vaporizer base 5 is provided with a base body 51, a circuit
board 52, a chip 53, signal electrodes 54, and two electrode columns 55. Herein, the
chip 53, the signal electrodes 54, and the electrode columns 55 are mounted on the
circuit board 52. The circuit board 52 and the chip 53 are embedded within the base
body 51. The bottom portions of the signal electrodes 54 and the electrode columns
55 are flat and exposed at the bottom portion of the base body 51. Thus, when the
vaporizer is connected with the power supply part, the power electrodes and signal
electrodes in the power supply part are allowed to abut against and connect with the
electrode columns 55 and the signal electrodes 54, respectively, to provide power
supply and control signal sources. The upper portions of the electrode columns 55
respectively extend upwards above the base body 51 and are used to make contact and
electrical connection with the positive and negative terminals of the heating element.
The two electrode columns include a positive electrode column and a negative electrode
column, which have unfixed and interchangeable positive and negative polarities such
that either of the two electrode columns can be connected with the positive or negative
terminal of the power supply part. In such a case, during connection of the vaporizer
and the power supply part, the vaporizer can be connected to the power supply part
regardless of its front and rear orientations. Thus, it is easy to use. The chip according
to the embodiment of the disclosure may be an encrypted chip which can be used for
anti-counterfeit of the vaporizer.
[0021] In other embodiments, the vaporizer base 5 may not include the signal electrodes
54. Instead, the signal electrodes 54 may be integrated into one of the electrode
columns 55. Furthermore, the chip 53 may not be an encrypted chip, but instead it
may be a control chip for other purposes. In other embodiments, the chip 53 may also
be an unpackaged wafer.
[0022] In the embodiment of the disclosure, the chip 53 may be fixed to the circuit board
52 through a bonding process, and a layer of bonding glue 531 may be coated on the
chip 53 to facilitate fixing of the chip 53 to the circuit board 52.
[0023] Herein, the vaporizer base 5 may be integrally formed by fixing the chip 53, the
signal electrodes 54, and the electrode columns 55 onto the circuit board 52, and
then placing the circuit board 52 into a mold to be injection-molded together with
the base body 51.
[0024] An air inlet through hole 56 may be provided at the bottom portion of the base body
51. The air inlet through hole 56 may extend through both the base body 51 and the
circuit board 52, to allow outside air to enter the vaporizer.
[0025] On both sides of the base body 51, the plungers 57 may be provided to block the liquid
filling holes provided inside the vaporizer. The liquid filling holes can facilitate
the injection of the vaporizing liquid into the vaporizer of the disclosure during
manufacturing and production, and allow the liquid storage chamber of the vaporizer
to be filled up with the vaporizing liquid. After the filling of the vaporizing liquid
into the liquid storage chamber of the vaporizer, the plungers 57 may plug the liquid
filling holes to prevent liquid leakage during mounting of the vaporizer base 5.
[0026] The roots of the electrode columns 55 may extend through the circuit board 52. On
the bottom side of the circuit board 52, each of the electrode columns 55 may be provided
with a thrust flange 551, which function to retain the position when the bottom end
of respective one of the electrode columns 52 is subjected to an upward push force.
On the upper side of the circuit board 52, each of the electrode columns 55 may be
provided with an annular groove 552. The annular grooves 552 can be embedded into
the material of the base body during integral injection molding of the circuit board
52 and the base body 51, thereby enabling the roots of the electrode columns 55 to
tightly engage and connect with the base body 51 and thus preventing the electrode
columns 55 from loosening during use.
[0027] Referring to FIGs.7 and 9, the chip 53, namely the chip U in the drawings, may be
provided with three leads. Herein, the first lead u1 may be electrically connected
with the signal electrodes 54, i.e. the signal terminals RSD; the second lead u2 may
be electrically connected with one terminal of the capacitor C1; the other terminal
of the capacitor C1 may be connected with one of the electrode columns 55, i.e., the
negative power terminal - as shown in the drawings, and the other terminal of the
capacitor C1 may be connected with the third lead u3 of the chip U as well. In the
drawings, the positive power terminal + may be connected with the other one of the
electrode columns 55. The two electrode columns 55 are interchangeable in connecting
either the positive or negative power supply. The chip 53 of the disclosure can get
power through the signal electrodes 54.
[0028] According to the vaporizer base 5 with a built-in chip of the disclosure, the vaporizer
base 5 is formed by fixedly mounting the chip 53 onto the circuit board 52 and then
integral injection molding them with the base body 51, such that the chip 53 and the
circuit board 52 which are embedded within the interior of vaporizer base 5 are not
exposed. In such a case, the appearance of the vaporizer base 5 can be improved. In
the meantime, it prevents long periods of exposure of the chip 53 or the circuit board
52 with the vaporizing liquid or condensed liquid dropped in the vaporizer and the
aerosol produced by vaporization, prevents the chip 53, the circuit board 52, and
other circuit elements disposed on the circuit board 52 from malfunction due to contamination
or corrosion by the vaporizing liquid or condensed liquid, and prevents functional
damage of the chip 53, the circuit board 52, or other circuit elements disposed on
the circuit board 52. In the meantime, it prevents users from inhaling harmful substances
contained in the chip 53 and circuit board 52 and volatilized in the aerosol after
long periods of exposure with the aerosol produced by vaporization, to protect health.
