Technical field
[0001] The present invention relates to the field of sports, specifically to a bag for carrying
objects specially designed for use when practising sports activities and to a piece
of luggage including said bag.
State of the art
[0002] When practising sports in general and, in particular, when practising sports in gyms,
such as circuit training, it is common to have to bring two types of products to the
place of exercise, i.e., products for use during exercise such as a towel, mobile
telephone, identification card if it is a gym, hand grips, magnesium, harnesses, rubber
bands, skip ropes, etc., and other products not for use during exercise, such as spare
clothes, footwear, hygiene products, etc., which should be left in the changing room
or equivalent.
[0003] Often, it is not allowed to bring rucksacks into gyms due to their volume, as they
may cause accidents, but small bags with the necessary elements for sports practice,
such as those mentioned above, are allowed.
[0004] However, despite being smaller, these bags, like rucksacks, still constitute a nuisance
because they are usually left on the floor of the gym or sports practice area. If,
on the other hand, they are left in an area that is far away, they are no longer within
the user's reach, slowing down his/her training.
[0005] Therefore, it is necessary to carry luggage that allows the person performing sports
to carry the objects he/she will need during sports practice in a bag and a separate
rucksack for the objects he/she needs for proper hygiene practices, implying the need
to bring two separate bulks.
[0006] Moreover, the use of mobile devices is becoming increasingly necessary in sports
practice in order to have access to training applications, tutorials, stopwatch, music,
etc. Therefore, there is also the need to have the mobile device within reach and
in a position that makes it visible during training, but protected from possible impacts
and being stepped on by third parties.
[0007] The purpose of the present invention is to solve the problem of the bag being a nuisance
for other people performing sports, but at the same time allowing it to be within
reach of its owner, creating in turn a support for the mobile telephone or equivalent
electronic device, and adding an enormous advantage in the portability of the objects
necessary for sports practice and providing added advantages.
Object of the invention
[0008] The present invention provides a bag designed with features that allow the advantageous
use thereof in sports practice and which can form part of a more complete piece of
luggage that also includes a rucksack for carrying other more voluminous objects that
are not necessary during the sports practice.
[0009] The bag comprises at least one magnetic element, preferably a magnet, on any part
of the outer surface thereof. The magnetic element allows the bag to be connected
to metal elements, external to the bag, such as metal elements normally present in
sports spaces; for example, weightlifting machines, aerobic exercise machines, racks,
bars, posts, goals, baskets, etc.
[0010] For example, racks are metal structures which allows the performance of a large number
of exercises as a result of their shapes and supports. The user would place the bag
on the metal structure by means of the magnetic element. In this way, the bag is not
on the floor, but rather secured to these structures, making it very easy to fix and
move it to another place and preventing possible accidents.
[0011] Optionally, various magnetic elements can be arranged on the outer surface of the
bag for a better grip. Preferably, to prevent the bag from being able to slip off
the metal structure due to its weight, the magnetic elements may be coated with a
non-slip material.
[0012] Preferably, the non-slip material is fixed to the outer surface thereof, being applied
on said surface in molten form. In this way, the bag and the magnetic element are
coated by means of the melt of the non-slip material, for example, applied in a layer.
Therefore, in addition to preventing the bag from slipping along the entire surface
thereof, the non-slip material serves as connection means between the magnetic element
and the bag.
[0013] The bag will have at least one magnetic element and, in the case where there are
various magnetic elements, they will preferably be arranged vertically so that they
can thus be readily fixed to the narrow and elongated elements of the sports spaces.
This is the case of rack posts, such that the bag is kept in a suitable position to
enable, for example, keeping it open without the contents thereof falling out.
[0014] Preferably, it has, on one side of the bag opposite the side where the magnetic elements
are arranged, at least one magnetic support connected to the outer surface of the
bag which allows fixing a mobile device. This magnetic support is designed to enable
securing the mobile device or other devices with equivalent functions. Any element
to which a metal sticker has been previously added to the rear part thereof could
also be placed.
[0015] In this way, while practising sports, and after fixing the mobile device or the like
to the bag by means of the magnetic support, the user will be able to access the different
applications he/she wants to use such as: stopwatches, videos exemplifying how the
exercise should be performed, recorder, etc., keeping the mobile device or equivalent
in a safe and effective location.
[0016] Preferably, the bag has an upper opening provided with a cover (9) with a magnetic
closure (10) which allows fixing the cover (9) to the magnetic support (6) by means
of folding the cover (9), keeping the bag (1) in an open position. This feature allows
keeping the bag open during sports practice for accessing the inside thereof in a
quick and comfortable manner.
[0017] Preferably, the bag can be connected to a rucksack by means of at least one magnetic
and/or non-magnetic connection element (11).
[0018] The bag can be connected to the rucksack by means of the same magnetic elements provided
for the connection thereof to metal structures of the sports space. To that end, the
rucksack will comprise respective elements susceptible to magnetic connection.
[0019] According to another aspect of the invention, the bag may be part of a piece of luggage,
formed at least by: the bag described above and the rucksack. Both elements can be
connected together such that they are both transported as a single bulk, facilitating
their handling. The user can thus carry the objects that he/she does not need during
sports practice, which in the case of towels and hygiene products may even be wet,
separately in the rucksack. The objects that he/she needs during sports practice can
be carried in the bag, such as a small towel, mobile device, an identification card,
hand grips, magnesium, harnesses, rubber bands, skip ropes, etc.
[0020] In addition to carrying the various objects separately, at the time when the user
practises sports, he/she only has to separate the bag from the rucksack to use the
bag independently. The way of connection is by means of a simple and comfortable method.
[0021] Alternatively or in addition, the bag and the rucksack may comprise non-magnetic
connection elements such as straps. Optionally, the luggage may comprise a tongue
and groove system, where the bag may comprise a male element and the rucksack a fastener,
or vice versa. Both non-magnetic connection elements allow the connection between
the two.
[0022] In this sense, in the case where the user wants to make the connection of the assembly
safer, for example, if he/she wants to check the luggage in for a flight and fears
that the luggage may be subjected to sudden impacts, the luggage comprises conventional
accessory connection means that provide greater robustness to the connection, such
as straps, brackets, or equivalents.
[0023] Therefore, the proposed solution solves the problems raised in the state of the art
by preventing the bag from being inside the rucksack, while being able to be placed
at the same time in different places for comfortable access and even being used as
a support for mobile devices and the like. As luggage, it furthermore prevents contact
with wet or dirty objects, prevents interior organisation problems, and is more comfortable.

Detailed description of the invention
[0025] The object of the invention relates to a bag (1) which allows practising sports activity
comfortably and without disturbing others who are also performing sports, with an
embodiment the features of which provide easy access to the material necessary for
sports practice, the possibility of having the mobile device (7) in sight and elements
for securing the bag (1) to elevated structures and to a rucksack (2) forming a complete
piece of luggage (3).
[0026] As can be seen in Figure 1, said bag (1) object of the invention comprises magnetic
elements (4) whereby the bag (1) is connected to both metal structures (5) in the
sports area and to a rucksack (2) in order to suitably move same from one place to
another as a single piece of luggage (3).
[0027] The magnetic elements (4) may be coated with a non-slip material, preferably silicone.
[0028] The non-slip material performs the double function of, on one hand, preventing the
magnetic element (4) from slipping off the metal structure (5) and, on the other hand,
connecting the magnetic element to the bag (1) by means of a method of melting of
the non-slip material itself, allowing the attachment thereof to the textile material
of the bag (1).
[0029] Since the metal structures (5) in sports spaces are usually in the form of a post,
and are therefore narrow, it is optionally envisaged for the bag (1) to be able to
have more than one magnetic element (4) and for said magnetic elements (4) to be vertically
aligned.
[0030] In the practical embodiment, the bag (1) can optionally include a magnetic support
(6) in its front outer part designed for fixing a mobile device (7).
[0031] Additionally, the bag (1) has an upper opening (8) in the cover (9) of which there
may be an element that can be connected to a magnetic closure (10) so that, upon folding
the cover (9), the magnetic support (6) secures the cover (9) by being connected to
the element that can be connected to a magnetic closure (10) and the cover (9) can
thus be kept open, having full access to the inside of the bag (1).
[0032] The rucksack (2) includes magnetic or ferromagnetic elements (12) that are connected
to the magnetic elements (4) of the bag (1). A piece of luggage (3) which allows the
bag (1) and the rucksack (2) to be transported together as a single bulk is thus formed.
[0033] The bag (1) may also include non-magnetic connection elements (11) which allow a
more robust connection to other objects. These non-magnetic connection elements (11)
are specially designed for connecting the bag (1) to the rucksack (2) and they make
it impossible for the bag (1) and the rucksack (2) to separate from one another in
the event of an accidental impact or tugging.
[0034] In a preferred embodiment, the non-magnetic connection elements (11) consist of a
male element (13) and a fastener (14), optionally with the male element (13) being
able to be arranged in the bag (1) and the fastener (14) in the rucksack (2).
