(54) DEVICE FOR MANUFACTURING GREEN BRICKS AND METHOD THEREFOR


(57) The invention relates to a device (2) for manufacturing green bricks (4) from a material, such as clay material, according to the invention and a method therefor. The device (2) according to the invention comprises:
- a mould (8) for moulding the material;
- a filling device (26) for introducing the material into the mould (8) in a filling direction (F); and
- a pressing device (10) for pressing the material into a green brick in the mould (8) in a pressing direction (P);
wherein the pressing direction (P) and the filling direction (F) lie at a filling angle (α) and wherein the mould (8) comprises one or more volume controllers (24) which are configured to control the quantity of material introduced into the mould (8).
