Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a content container, and more particularly, to a
content container in which an inner container is separable from an outer container
by rotation of a decorative member.
Background Art
[0002] Recently, various new refill structures that allow an inner container to be separated
from an outer container and replaced when content is exhausted have been developed.
[0003] Conventional refill containers require a complicated fastening structure in the process
of separating the inner container and the outer container in order to add new content
or replace the outer container, and accordingly, a user may experience difficulty
in performing refilling. In addition, the complicated fastening structure causes the
manufacturing process to become complicated and increases the number of parts. As
a result, efficient use may become difficult, and limitations may also arise from
an environmental perspective.
[0004] Furthermore, in order to facilitate the separation and fastening of the outer container
and the inner container, the inner container has to be manufactured to match the shape
of the outer container, and thus there are many restrictions on the shape of the inner
container. Due to these limitations, conventional refill containers have a problem
in that they cause restrictions in terms of product diversity.
[0005] Therefore, there is a need for research and development on a new refill structure
that has excellent refilling convenience and is applicable to various types of products
without restrictions on the shape of the inner container.

[0026] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a content container 1 according to an embodiment
of the present invention. FIG. 2 is an exploded view of the content container 1 according
to an embodiment of the present invention. In particular, FIG. 2 includes an enlarged
view of the decorative member 300 as viewed from another angle and an enlarged view
of the outer container neck 420 of the outer container 400.
[0027] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the content container 1 may comprise a cap 100, a pump
device 200, a decorative member 300, an outer container 400, and/or an inner container
500.
[0028] In an embodiment, the pump device 200, the decorative member 300, the outer container
400, and the inner container 500 may form a container assembly 200, 300, 400, and
500. The container assembly 200, 300, 400, and 500 may store content therein and discharge
the content to the outside. More specifically, content may be accommodated in the
inner container 500, and the pump device 200 communicating with the inside of the
inner container 500 may be formed at one side of the container assembly 200, 300,
400, and 500 to discharge the content. The pump device 200 may be covered or exposed
to the outside depending on a position of the cap 100, and may be configured to discharge
the content to the outside of the container assembly 200, 300, 400, and 500 according
to a user's pressing (pumping operation) on the pump head 210. In this case, the content
may be cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, quasi-drugs such as toothpaste, or the like, but
may encompass all kinds of substances that can be discharged by a pumping operation.
[0029] As described above, the inner container 500 may be configured to accommodate content.
More specifically, the inner container 500 may comprise an inner container body 510
in which a space is formed to accommodate content, and an inner container neck 520
extending from the inner container body 510. As shown in FIG. 2, the inner container
neck 520 may have a smaller cross-sectional area than the inner container body 510.
The inner container neck 520 may have an opening formed at one side so as to accommodate
content in the inner container body 510 or to accommodate at least a part of the pump
device 200. For example, as shown in FIG. 2, an opening may be formed at an upper
side of the inner container neck 520. A lower portion of the inner container body
510 may cover the space accommodating the content so as to prevent the content from
being discharged to the outside of the inner container 500.
[0030] In an embodiment, the inner container 500 may further comprise a disk (not shown)
disposed inside the space provided to accommodate content and moving upward as the
content is discharged. The disk pushes the content upward as the content stored in
the space is exhausted, and specifically, maintains a state of being in close contact
with the inner wall of the space, and may rise correspondingly when the volume of
the content in the space decreases as the content is discharged. This type of content
container 1 may be referred to as an airless type. The airless-type content container
1 may be characterized in that the pump device 200 does not have a separate tube for
sucking content. Meanwhile, the embodiment of the present invention is not limited
to the airless type, and is still applicable to a type in which a tube is formed in
the pump device 200.
[0031] In an embodiment, the inner container 500 may be formed in various shapes without
limitation, such as a circular shape, a quadrangular shape, an elliptical shape, a
cylindrical shape, a quadrangular prism, or a conical shape.
[0032] The outer container 400 may be configured to accommodate the inner container 500.
That is, the inner container 500 may be configured to be accommodated inside the outer
container 400. The outer container 400 may have a shape corresponding to the inner
container 500. For example, as shown in the drawings, the inner container 500 may
have a substantially cylindrical shape, and the outer container 400 may have a cylindrical
shape corresponding thereto. The outer container 400 may comprise an outer container
body 410 corresponding to the inner container body 510 and an outer container neck
420 corresponding to the inner container neck 520. That is, the outer container neck
420 may extend from the outer container body 410. The outer container neck 420 may
be formed to be smaller than the cross-sectional area of the outer container body
410. The outer container neck 420 may have an opening formed at one side so that at
least a part of the pump device 200 can be inserted thereinto. An opening may be formed
at an end portion of the outer container body 410 where the outer container neck 420
is not positioned, so that the inner container 500 can be inserted thereinto. In other
words, the lower side of the outer container body 410 may be open. For example, openings
may be formed respectively at the upper side of the outer container neck 420 and the
lower side of the outer container body 410. Accordingly, the outer container 400 may
be formed to communicate in the vertical direction. If only the outer container 400
and the inner container 500 are provided, the outer container 400 cannot support the
inner container 500, and therefore a separate configuration described below is required
so that the inner container 500 can be prevented from being separated from the outer
container 400 even when the inner container 500 is accommodated in the outer container
400.
[0033] The decorative member 300 may be provided to surround the outer container neck 420.
The decorative member 300 may enhance the aesthetic appearance of the outer container
neck 420. Furthermore, it may protect the outer container neck 420. For example, as
shown in FIG. 2, the decorative member 300 may have a donut shape with a hole formed
substantially at the center along the shape of the outer container neck 420. The decorative
member 300 may be supported by the outer container 400, or may be supported by a pump
member and/or the inner container 500 described below. Furthermore, the decorative
member 300 may be coupled to the inner container 500 described above. Accordingly,
the decorative member 300 is coupled to the inner container 500, and the decorative
member 300 is directly or indirectly supported by the outer container 400, so that
the inner container 500 and the outer container 400 can be substantially prevented
from being separated. This will be described in more detail in the description referring
to FIG. 3.
[0034] As described above, the pump device 200 may be configured to discharge the content
accommodated in the inner container 500 to the outside of the content container 1.
The pump device 200 may comprise a cylinder 280 positioned at a side facing the space
in which the content of the inner container 500 is accommodated. When the pump head
210 of the pump device 200 is pressed, the piston rod 260 (FIG. 3) positioned therein
moves so that the content can move toward the pump head 210. The pump device 200 may
be supported by the inner container 500 or supported by the decorative member 300.
In this case, the pump device 200 is coupled to the upper side of the inner container
500, and may discharge the content stored in the space to the outside by pressurization.
[0035] Hereinafter, the foregoing configuration will be described in more detail.
[0036] FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the content container 1 according to an embodiment
of the present invention. In particular, FIG. 3(a) shows that the inner container
500 is coupled to the outer container 400 of the content container 1. FIG. 3(b) shows
that the inner container 500 is separated from the outer container 400 of the content
container 1.
[0037] Referring to FIG. 3, the configuration of the content container 1 will be described
in more detail.
[0038] The pump device 200 may comprise a pump head 210 protruding outward, a stem 230 coupled
to the pump head 210 so as to support the pump head 210, and/or an under cap 240 supporting
the stem 230. Furthermore, the pump device 200 may comprise a piston rod 260 accommodated
in the stem 230 and/or a cylinder 280 in which one end of the piston rod 260 is accommodated.
The piston rod 260 may be supported by the inner container 500. The pump device 200
may comprise a ring portion 250 positioned between the piston rod 260 and the inner
container neck 520.
[0039] For example, as shown in FIG. 3, the stem 230 is positioned below the pump head 210,
and the under cap 240 may support the lower side of the stem 230. The under cap 240
may be supported by the cylinder 280 positioned below the under cap 240. The cylinder
280 may comprise an annular rib extending radially outward, and the inner container
neck 520 may support, from below, the rib included in the cylinder 280. That is, the
pump device 200 may be supported by the inner container. Furthermore, a support flange
332 described below may cover the annular rib included in the cylinder 280.
[0040] The pump device 200 may comprise an elastic member 220 that applies an elastic force
to return the pump head 210 even when the pump head 210 is pressed. The elastic member
220 may be provided below the pump head 210. In this case, the piston rod 260 may
be provided to communicate with the inside of the pump head 210. The piston rod 260
has a flow path formed therein so that content moves to the pump head 210, and an
opening communicating with the flow path may be formed at an end portion of the piston
rod 260 facing the space of the inner container 500. The end portion of the piston
rod 260 may be accommodated in the cylinder 280 included in the pump device 200. One
side of the cylinder 280 may be coupled to the under cap 240. The other side of the
cylinder 280 may face the space in which the content of the inner container 500 is
accommodated. In the internal space of the cylinder 280, the piston rod 260 may be
positioned at one side, and a check valve 290 may be positioned at the other side.
In this case, a seal cap 270 may be positioned between the piston rod 260 and the
cylinder 280 to prevent the content from moving to the outside of the cylinder 280
due to the movement of the piston rod 260.
[0041] When the pump head 210 is pressed, the piston rod 260 moves toward the internal space
of the cylinder 280, and at this time, the check valve 290 may close the opening of
the cylinder 280 facing the inner container 500. The internal pressure of the cylinder
280 increases, and the content positioned inside the cylinder 280 may move outward
past the pump head 210 through the opening of the piston rod 260. When the pressing
on the pump head 210 is released, the piston rod 260 moves again in the direction
in which the internal space of the cylinder 280 expands by the elastic force of the
elastic member 220, whereby the internal space of the cylinder 280 is lowered in pressure,
and the check valve 290 is moved so that the opening of the cylinder 280 facing the
inner container 500 can be opened. Through the opened opening of the cylinder 280,
the content may move into the internal space of the cylinder 280.
[0042] As described above, the decorative member 300 may be configured to be separably coupled
to the inner container 500 so as to couple the inner container 500 to the outer container
400. The decorative member 300 may be supported by the outer container 400. Thereby,
the inner container 500 may be coupled to the outer container 400 by the decorative
member 300.
[0043] In this case, the inner container 500 may be configured to be separable from the
outer container 400 based on the rotation of the decorative member 300 relative to
the outer container 400. When the content is exhausted, the content container 1 may
be provided to be refilled with content again by replacing the inner container 500.
In this case, the content of the content container 1 may be refilled by replacing
the inner container 500 in which the content is exhausted with an inner container
500 having sufficient content. In this case, although not shown in the embodiment
of the present disclosure, any manner in which the inner container 500 is separated
when the decorative member 300 rotates relative to the outer container 400 is considered
to be included in the present invention. For example, a configuration in which the
inner container 500 is separated from the outer container 400 by gear connection according
to the rotation of the decorative member 300 may also be regarded as an example.
[0044] More specifically, the coupling of the inner container 500 with the decorative member
300 may be released based on the rotation of the decorative member 300. The inner
container 500 may be coupled to the outer container 400 according to the coupling
with the decorative member 300. In other words, if the decorative member 300 were
not provided, the inner container 500 could be provided as an object separated from
the outer container 400. When the coupling between the decorative member 300 and the
inner container 500 is released, there is no means for fixing the inner container
500 to the outer container 400, so that the inner container 500 may be in a state
separable from the outer container 400. That is, the decorative member 300 may release
the coupling with the inner container 500 by rotating relative to the outer container
400.
[0045] As described above, the outer container 400 may have an opening formed at one side
spaced apart from the decorative member 300. The fact that the inner container 500
becomes separable from the outer container 400 based on the rotation of the decorative
member 300 may mean that the inner container 500 is configured to be separable from
the outer container 400 through the opening of the outer container 400.
[0046] In this case, the decorative member 300 may comprise a decorative member engagement
portion 331 configured to engage with the inner container 500. For example, the decorative
member engagement portion 331 may have a screw-thread shape. The inner container 500
may comprise an inner container engagement portion 530 protruding from the inner container
neck 520 toward the decorative member 300 and engaging with the decorative member
engagement portion 331. For example, the inner container engagement portion 530 may
have a screw-thread shape.
[0047] More specifically, the decorative member 300 may comprise an inner portion 330 positioned
between the outer container neck 420 and the inner container neck 520, the inner portion
330 from which the decorative member engagement portion 331 protrudes.
[0048] In this case, the decorative member 300 may comprise an outer portion 310 positioned
outside the outer container neck 420. The outer portion 310 may cover the outer container
neck 420. The decorative member 300 may have a connecting portion 320 connecting the
inner portion 330 and the outer portion 310. For example, the connecting portion 320
may connect the upper end of the inner portion 330 and the upper end of the outer
portion 310. The connecting portion 320 may be configured to be supported by the outer
container neck 420. In other words, this may mean that the outer container neck 420
can be inserted into the space between the inner portion 330 and the outer portion
310, and the upper end of the outer container neck 420 can extend up to the connecting
portion 320. While the decorative member 300 is rotated, the connecting portion 320
may be supported by the upper end of the outer container neck 420. Furthermore, while
the decorative member 300 is rotated, the outer portion 310 and the inner portion
330 are each guided by the outer container neck 420, so that the rotation of the decorative
member 300 can be guided.
[0049] In this case, the decorative member 300 may comprise a support flange 332 protruding
from the inner portion 330 toward the pump device 200. As described above, the pump
device 200 is configured to pump the content accommodated in the inner container 500,
and may be supported by the end portion of the cylinder 280. Alternatively, the support
flange 332 may be supported by the inner container 500. Therefore, while the decorative
member 300 is rotated, the support flange 332 may be supported so as to be prevented
from moving by the pump device 200.
[0050] In the above, the structure in which the inner container 500 is separated according
to the rotation of the decorative member 300 has been described. However, in general,
while the content container 1 is being used, the rotation of the decorative member
300 to separate the inner container 500 may cause an unexpected situation. To prevent
this, the decorative member 300 may be provided to be rotatable only when the decorative
member 300 is moved to a specific position.
[0051] That is, the decorative member 300 may be movable to a fixing position in which the
decorative member 300 is fixed to the inner container 500 so as to prevent rotation
relative to the outer container 400, and to a fixing release position spaced farther
from the inner container 500 than the fixing position so as to allow rotation relative
to the outer container 400. This will be described in more detail below.
[0052] Furthermore, while the decorative member 300 is rotated, since the decorative member
300 and the inner container 500 are coupled, the inner container 500 may also be rotated.
However, in order for the decorative member 300 to be separated from the inner container
500, the decorative member 300 may need to be rotated relative to the inner container
500 rather than being rotated together with the inner container 500. Therefore, while
the decorative member 300 is rotated relative to the outer container 400, the inner
container 500 needs to be prevented from rotating. A structure for this will be described
in more detail below.
[0053] FIG. 4 is an exploded view of the inner container 500 and the decorative member 300
according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0054] Referring to FIGS. 2 and 4, the inner container 500 may be prevented from rotating
by the outer container 400 while the decorative member 300 is rotated.
[0055] The outer container 400 may comprise an outer container guide 440 protruding toward
the inner container 500. For example, as shown in FIG. 2, the outer container guide
440 may have a shape such as gear teeth. The outer container guide 440 may extend
in the circumferential direction. However, although the outer container guide 440
is depicted in FIG. 2 as extending over the entire circumferential direction, the
present invention is not limited thereto, and the outer container guide 440 may also
extend over a part of the circumferential direction. Furthermore, the outer container
guide 440 may protrude from the outer container neck 420 toward the inner container
body 510. The outer container guide 440 protrudes toward the inner container 500 while
the inner container 500 is coupled to the outer container 400 by the decorative member
300, but may be prevented from protruding beyond the inner surface of the outer container
neck 420. Accordingly, while the inner container neck 520 is accommodated in the outer
container neck 420 along the inner surface of the outer container neck 420, the outer
container guide 440 may be prevented from obstructing the movement of the inner container
neck 520.
[0056] The inner container 500 may comprise an inner container guide 560 protruding toward
the outer container 400 so as to engage with the outer container guide 440 in order
to be prevented from rotating relative to the outer container 400 while the decorative
member 300 is rotated to separate the inner container 500. In other words, as mentioned
above, while the decorative member 300 is rotated, the inner container 500 needs to
be fixed with respect to rotational movement in order to have a relative rotation
with the decorative member 300. To this end, the inner container 500 may be fixed
with respect to rotational movement relative to the outer container 400. Furthermore,
while the decorative member 300 is rotated, the inner container 500 may be slid relative
to the outer container 400 so as to move in a direction of being separated through
the lower opening of the outer container 400. Therefore, the relationship between
the inner container 500 and the outer container 400 may be a relationship in which,
while the coupling of the inner container 500 with the decorative member 300 is released,
the inner container 500 is prevented from rotating by the outer container 400 but
is capable of sliding movement.
[0057] Additionally, since the outer container guide 440 may be positioned at the lower
side of the outer container neck 420, it may be spaced apart from the decorative member
300. This may be because the decorative member 300 can be supported by the upper end
of the outer container neck 420.
[0058] For example, as shown in FIG. 4, the inner container guide 560 may have a shape of
gear teeth that engages with the outer container guide 440 having a gear-teeth shape.
The inner container guide 560 may extend along the circumferential direction with
a smaller length than the outer container guide 440. This is because, if the outer
container guide 440 extends over the entire circumferential direction, the inner container
guide 560 can be inserted into the outer container guide 440 when the inner container
guide 560 has an arbitrary rotation angle, even if the inner container guide 560 extends
over only a part of the circumferential direction.
[0059] The inner container guide 560 may be included in the inner container neck 520. More
specifically, the inner container guide 560 may extend from the inner container body
510. For example, the inner container guide 560 may be positioned at the upper side
of the inner container body 510, and the inner container engagement portion 530 may
be positioned at the upper side of the inner container guide 560. This is because,
since the decorative member 300 is positioned at the upper side of the outer container
guide 440, the decorative member engagement portion 331 may be positioned at the upper
side of the outer container guide 440, and the inner container guide 560 engaging
with the outer container guide 440 may be positioned at a lower side relative to the
inner container engagement portion 530 engaging with the decorative member engagement
portion 331.
[0060] Furthermore, the decorative member 300 may comprise a pair of fixing protrusions
334 spaced apart from each other so as to form an insertion groove 335 therebetween.
The fixing protrusions 334 may protrude toward the inner container body 510. The inner
container 500 may comprise an insertion protrusion 550 protruding toward the insertion
groove 335 so as to be inserted into the insertion groove 335. More specifically,
the inner container 500 may comprise an inner container stepped portion 540 on which
the inner container engagement portion 530 is formed, and the inner container stepped
portion 540 may be formed to be stepped relative to the inner container 500. The insertion
protrusion 550 may protrude from the inner container stepped portion 540 toward the
decorative member 300. The decorative member 300 may be positioned at the fixing position
when the insertion protrusion 550 is inserted into the insertion groove 335. When
the decorative member 300 is moved away from the outer container 400 so that the insertion
protrusion 550 is released from the insertion groove 335, the decorative member 300
may be positioned at the rotatable fixing release position.
[0061] FIG. 5 is an exploded view of the outer container 400 and the decorative member 300
according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0062] Referring to FIG. 5, the decorative member 300 may be coupled to the outer container
400 so as to be rotatable relative to the outer container 400. As mentioned above,
the decorative member 300 may be fitted onto the neck of the outer container 400.
[0063] The outer container neck 420 may comprise a rotation guide rib 430 protruding outward.
The rotation guide rib 430 may extend in the circumferential direction of the outer
container neck 420. The decorative member 300 may comprise a rotation guide groove
333 into which the rotation guide rib 430 is inserted. The rotation guide groove 333
may extend to correspond to the rotation guide rib 430 so as to accommodate the rotation
guide rib 430. Therefore, the rotation guide groove 333 may extend along the circumferential
direction of the decorative member 300. The rotation guide groove 333 may be formed
on a side of the outer portion 310 facing the inner portion 330. Accordingly, while
the decorative member 300 is rotated relative to the outer container 400, the rotation
guide rib 430 is accommodated in the rotation guide groove 333 and rotated, whereby
the rotation of the decorative member 300 can be guided.
[0064] The rotation guide rib 430 may be coupled to the rotation guide groove 333 by fitting
coupling. Accordingly, when a force equal to or greater than a predetermined force
is applied to move the decorative member 300 away from the outer container 400, the
rotation guide rib 430 may be provided to be released from the rotation guide groove
333. When the inner container 500 is to be separated from the outer container 400,
the decorative member 300 first needs to be moved in a direction away from the outer
container 400, and thus the rotation guide rib 430 and the rotation guide groove 333
need to be provided so that the decorative member 300 can be moved. However, when
the decorative member 300 is not moved, the rotation guide rib 430 may be fitted in
the rotation guide groove 333 to such an extent as to prevent the decorative member
300 from being accidentally moved upward.
[0065] FIG. 6 is a view illustrating a use state of the content container 1 according to
an embodiment of the present invention. In particular, FIG. 6(a) shows that the inner
container 500 is separated from the outer container 400. FIG. 6(b) shows a refill
container 2. FIG. 6(c) shows that a refill container cap 600 is separated from the
refill container 2. FIG. 6(d) shows that the inner container 500 of the refill container
2 is inserted into the outer container 400.
[0066] Referring to FIG. 6, replacing the inner container 500 in which the content is exhausted
will be described below.
[0067] The decorative member 300 may be moved in a direction away from the outer container
400 to move the decorative member 300 from the fixing position to the fixing release
position. Accordingly, the decorative member 300 may be rotatable relative to the
inner container 500.
[0068] While the decorative member 300 is rotated relative to the outer container 400, the
coupling of the inner container 500 with the decorative member 300 is released, and
the inner container 500 may be moved in a direction away from the decorative member
300. In this case, the inner container 500 is restricted from rotating relative to
the outer container 400 and can be moved only in the sliding direction, so that while
the decorative member 300 is rotated, the inner container 500 may move away from the
decorative member 300 without rotating relative to the decorative member 300.
[0069] When the coupling between the decorative member 300 and the inner container 500 is
released, the inner container 500 may be separated from the outer container 400 through
the lower opening formed in the outer container 400.
[0070] A refill container 2 may be provided, and the refill container cap 600 may be rotated
to open the inner container 500 included in the refill container 2. In this case,
a thread may be formed on the inside of the refill container cap 600 so as to be configured
to engage with the inner container engagement portion 530.
[0071] A new inner container 500 may be accommodated in the outer container 400 through
the lower opening of the outer container 400. Thereafter, the decorative member 300
is rotated in the direction opposite to the direction for separating the inner container
500, so as to be coupled to the inner container 500. After the coupling with the inner
container 500 is completed, the decorative member 300 is moved downward to be fixed.
[0072] As described above, the optimal embodiments have been disclosed in the drawings and
the specification. Although specific terms are used herein, they are used only for
the purpose of describing the present invention and are not used to limit the meaning
or to restrict the scope of the present invention as set forth in the claims. Therefore,
those skilled in the art will understand that various modifications and other equivalent
embodiments are possible therefrom. Accordingly, the true technical protection scope
of the present invention should be defined by the technical spirit of the appended
claims.
