(57) The present application discloses a method of manufacturing a shell mold in which,
with the peripheral portion of an elastic member in the sheet or film form adsorbed
to a mold, a negative pressure is provided in a space between the mold and the elastic
member, the elastic member is deformed by the outside pressure, molding material put
on the elastic member is unflowingly compressed into a shell shape along the forming
surface of the mold by the mold and the elastic member and is then solidified to produce
a shell according to a suitable process in a cold or warm atmosphere, and the shell
is taken out from the mold.
