(54) Tamperproof beverage closure


(57) A closure is described for sealing containers such as beverage or liquor or other containers. The closure is a unitary molded closure cap which includes a flowed-in sealing gasket. A tamperproofing band may be applied with the closure cap which is locked onto a bead on the container so that it is torn free from the upper sealing portion of the cap or partly torn free and its circular form broken when an attempt is made to turn the closure cap off of the container.
