(57) The soaking apparatus comprises a cylindrical container (5) and a lid (3), the lid
(3) is adapted to include a tube (4) extending from it.
Means are provided for releasably securing the lid (3) onto the container (5). The
basic function of the soaking apparatus is to enable either the inside or outside
surface area of a spray gun cup (2) to be soaked in solvent individually or simultaneously
for cleaning purposes, utilising liquid displacement as a means of minimising the
amount of solvent required for the pre-clean soak operation.
A gasket (8) located inside of the lid (3) ensures an airtight seal between the lid
(3) and the container (5), thereby eliminating both evaporation and fire risk during
the soak operation.
A range of different size containers (5) may be provided for different sizes of cup
(2).
