    (57) The invention discloses mixing equipment including a plate (3) having an orifice (7), and means for producing reciprocating relative motion between the orifice plate and the fluid at right angles to the orifice plate, to generate a ring vortex through the orifice, the orifice plate and orifice being positioned such that the ring vortex is projected into the fluid to be mixed.
