    (54) Heat exchanger


    (57) A heat exchanger for use in a refrigeration or air conditioning system for cooling the refrigerant comprises a pair of spaced headers (10,12), and at least one heat exchange tube (20) extending between the headers defining a plurality of hydraulically parallel refrigerant flow paths, each of said flow paths having a hydraulic diameter of up to about 0.07 inches, the hydraulic diameter being defined as the cross-sectional area of the flow path multiplied by four and divided by the wetted perimeter of the flow path.
