(57) A sheet tightening/straightening device particularly for repairing car bodies or the like according to the invention comprises a clamp (1, 2) for straightening out dented, bent or damaged sheet metal. The clamp (1, 2) has a wedge locking system (12) which allows the application of a clamping force proportional to the pulling or pushing force.
