(54) Winch operating device


(57) The winch operating device according to the present invention is provided with a retaining means 7, 23 which, when a mode is shifted over by operation of a mode selection member 20a from a first mode in which free fall of a winch drum is not possible to a second mode in which free fall of said winch drum is possible, retains the state in which free fall of said winch drum is not possible until a verification operation other than the operation of selecting said second mode is performed in the state in which a brake pedal 11 is being operated. By doing this, free fall against the desire of the operator is positively prevented.
