(54) Ladder spacer


(57) This invention relates to a ladder spacer, and in particular to a ladder spacer for use with a reinforcing cage for a reinforced concrete structure. The reinforced concrete structure may be in the form of a column or pile or in the form of a diaphragm wall panel. According to the invention there is provided a ladder spacer (10) for a reinforcing cage (22), the ladder spacer comprising at least one bar (12; 28) adapted for securement to a part of a reinforcing cage (22), and at least one spacer means (14; 30; 50) secured to the bar, characterised in that the bar is formed non-linear. The bar(s) may be formed curved to engage the periphery of a pile cage, or may be of "L"-shape to engage the planar face and edge of a diaphragm wall panel.
