(57) The present invention relates to a system for separating a roadway from another terrain area, comprising:
  • a barrier element for bringing to a halt vehicles coming from the roadway, comprising a substantially elongate body part of prefabricated concrete, and connecting means arranged on the ends of the body part for connecting together successive barrier elements,
  • a standing noise wall placed on the barrier element for intercepting sound incident from the direction of the roadway.
