(54) Pilot circuit for relays or other similar electromechanical switching device, and method to pilot a relay by means of such circuit


(57) Pilot circuit for an electromechanical switching device, such as a relay or suchlike, comprising at least a coil (11). The circuit (10) comprises a feed source (30, 25) to feed a tension to selectively make a current circulate in the coil (11) in order to activate/de-activate the electromechanical switching device. The coil (11) has a first accumulation condition, wherein it loads with energy until the current circulating through it reaches an upper threshold value (Smax), and a second discharge phase, wherein the coil (11) releases the accumulated energy in order to allow the relay to be switched. The energy release phase continues until the current circulating in the coil (11) reaches a lower threshold value (Smin), after which a new accumulation cycle begins.
