(57) A power tool is disclosed which is suitable for both belt sanding and planing. The tool includes a motor (42) within a housing (6) which provides drive to an output shaft (20). A plurality of cartridges (22, 36) may each be coupled with the housing (6) and the drive shaft (20) to enable either belt sanding or planing to be achieved.
