(54) Thermal imaging elements having improved stability


(57) A thermally imageable element having a thermally imageable layer, wherein the thermally imageable layer has a thermal amplification additive and a stabilizer selected from the group consisting of amine type
compounds. These stabilizers present in thermally imageable layers maintain NIR stability during manufacture, and when the thermally imageable elements containing them are used in thermal imaging processes.
