[0001] The present utility model refers to a baby's bottle with suction straw.
[0002] By baby's bottle, in the present utility model, we mean a feeding bottle, i.e. a
bottle equipped with a teat from which the liquid drink contained in the bottle is
drunk by sucking.
[0003] As known, the baby's bottle is widely used by mothers to feed babies with liquids
of various types, such as milk, fruit juice or even simply water.
[0004] It is also known that to drink the liquid contained in the baby's bottle, the baby,
generally helped by an adult, must lift and rotate the bottle, turning it upside down,
so as to make the liquid inside it drop into the teat, situated on its top end and
placed in the mouth.
[0005] Moreover, during sucking, the bottle must always be in an upside down position, i.e.
with the teat facing downwards.
[0006] Therefore, to drink the liquid contained in baby's bottles of the prior art it is
essential for the baby's bottle to be continuously held in upside down position to
allow the baby to drink the liquid contained in it.
[0007] Moreover, when the liquid present in the baby's bottle is less than half the overall
volume of the bottle, the baby that decides to continue to drink is forced to take
up a somewhat uncomfortable position.
[0008] Indeed, the baby's bottle should be held with the teat facing downwards and the body
of the bottle is positioned substantially vertically.
[0009] From this it can be seen that such baby's bottles have some aspects that limit its
efficiency of use.
[0010] The purpose of the present finding is therefore that of providing a baby's bottle
that is easy to use, which, thanks to its special configuration, can be used during
sucking without the need for it to be turned upside down. Last but not least, the
present finding provides a baby's bottle that requires a simple and cost-effective
construction.
[0011] Such a purpose is accomplished through a baby's bottle with a suction straw associated
with the teat in accordance with claim 1.
[0012] The dependent claims outline preferred and particularly advantageous embodiments
of the baby's bottle with a suction straw according to the finding.
[0013] Further characteristics and advantages of the finding shall become clear from reading
the following description provided as an example and not for limiting purposes, with
the help of the figure illustrated in the attached table, which shows a vertical section
view of a baby's bottle with a suction straw.
[0014] With reference to the aforementioned figure, a baby's bottle in accordance with the
present utility model is globally indicated with 1.
[0015] Said baby's bottle 1 comprises a container 2 for liquid beverages, such as milk,
juices, etc., as well as water. This container 2 can be made from any material suitable
for being used for liquid beverages like, for example, non-toxic plastic material
or glass.
[0016] The container 2 is provided with an opening 3 on its top. A teat 4 is associated
at the top of the container 2. Such association is carried out with means of the prior
art, for example by screwing a ring nut between two threaded portions, respectively
on the top of the container 2 and on the lower base of the teat 4, or even by simple
elastic insertion.
[0017] The material used to make the teat can either be natural, such as natural rubber
(caoutchouc) or synthetic, such as silicon or any other material known to the man
skilled in the art.
[0018] The teat 4 is provided with a slit 5 on its top.
[0019] This slit 5 allows the liquid contained by the container 2 to flow out.
[0020] In accordance with a preferred embodiment of the finding, the baby's bottle 1 comprises
a suction straw 6.
[0021] Advantageously, said straw is entirely inserted inside the baby's bottle 1 with an
upper end 6a associated with the slit 5 of the teat 4 and a lower end 6b arranged
so as to brush the lower surface 2' of the container 2.
[0022] Preferably, the straw 6 is cylinder-shaped and is placed in a substantially vertical
position and centrally with respect to the container 2.
[0023] Basically, the straw 6 starts from the slit 5 of the teat 4 and extends downwards
up to close to the base 2' of the container 2.
[0024] In addition, the straw 6 can be removably associated with the teat 4 so as to allow
it to be washed after use.
[0025] Preferably, the baby's bottle 1 is provided with means, not illustrated in the figure,
suitable for making an amount of air equal to the amount of liquid sucked up by the
straw 6 enter the baby's bottle 1. Such means generally consist of a valve or more
simply a small hole with which the teat 4 is usually provided.
[0026] As can be appreciated from that which has been described, the baby's bottle with
a suction straw according to the present finding allows the requirements of overcoming
the drawbacks mentioned in the introductory part of the present description with respect
to the prior art to be satisfied.
[0027] Indeed, the baby's bottle according to the present finding allows the entire content
of the baby's bottle to be drunk without turning it upside down, i.e. keeping the
baby's bottle in a substantially vertical position.
[0028] Moreover, said baby's bottle with a suction straw prevents the baby from ingesting
air avoiding the occurrence of gaseous colic, regurgitation and hiccups.
[0029] Of course, a man skilled in the art can bring numerous modifications and variants
to the baby's bottle described above in order to satisfy contingent and specific requirements,
all of which are covered by the scope of protection of the finding, as defined by
the following claims.
1. Baby's bottle comprising a container for liquid beverages provided with an opening
on its top, a teat associated with said opening of the container, said teat being
provided with a slit suitable for allowing the liquid in the container to flow out,
characterised in that a suction straw is associated with said slit inserted inside the baby's bottle and
the lower end of which is placed so as to brush the base of said container.
2. Baby's bottle according to claim 1, wherein said straw is cylinder-shaped.
3. Baby's bottle according to claim 2, wherein said straw is placed in a substantially
vertical position and centrally with respect to the container.
4. Teat for a baby's bottle comprising an elastically deformable hollow body that can
be associated with the mouth of a container, said hollow body being provided with
a slit for the liquid to flow out of, characterised in that a straw is associated with said slit that extends from the top of the hollow body.
