    Description

    Field of Invention



    [0001] This invention concerns in general fume vents to be installed on a roof, and refers in particular to a device for anchoring said vents in position.

    State of the Technique



    [0002] The fume vents are usually mounted on a roof, applied to the top of a flue with the help of a valley or metal chimney weathering, usually of lead, which rests and fits on the slope of the roof and covering elements. DE 20 2004 004982 U discloses an anchoring device according to the preamble of claim 1.

    Objective and Summary of the Invention



    [0003] The objective of this invention is to create the conditions to facilitate the placing in position of fume vents, where at present this operation is complicated and arduous to carry out.

    [0004] The objective is reached, in compliance with the invention, using a device according to claim 1 which comprises a sleeve having:

    a base cut at an angle corresponding to the slope of the roof and made to be fixed to a valley or chimney weathering support, and

    an intermediate section with longitudinal slots, which form a number of vertical radially expanding strips, relatively flexible and contractible, and designed to engage the inside of a fume vent when it is fitted on the sleeve for placing in position.


    Brief Description of the Drawings



    [0005] The invention will however be explained more in detail in the continuation of this description made in reference to the enclosed indicative and not limitative drawings, in which:

    Figs 1 and 2 show views from two different sides of the anchoring sleeve;

    Fig. 3 shows a top view of said sleeve;

    Fig. 4 shows the sleeve fixed to a valley for mounting on a roof;

    Fig. 5 shows the vent in the application phase to the anchoring sleeve;

    Fig. 6 shows the vent when anchored; and

    Fig. 7 shows an enlarged cross section of the detail in the square shown in Fig. 6.


    Detailed Description of the Invention



    [0006] In said drawings, indicated by 10 is the slope of a roof from which the top of a flue 11 protrudes, which is associated with a fume vent 12 with the help of a chimney weathering support 13 and the interposition of the device here proposed.

    [0007] This device comprises a sleeve 14, practically cylindrical, made of metal, such as copper, steel or some other.

    [0008] As shown, the sleeve has a base 15 cut at an angle corresponding to the slope of the roof 10 and made to be fixed, normally by welding, to the chimney weathering support 13 - Figs. 1, 2 and 4.

    [0009] In an intermediate part of its height, the sleeve 14 is provided with some longitudinal slots 16 that form among them a number of vertical strips 17 each one having at least one intermediate, bent section 18, that is expanding radially compared to the external surface of the sleeve.

    [0010] Above the slots 16, the sleeve 14 can also be provided with a peripheral groove 19.

    [0011] The strips 17 with their intermediate expanded portions 18 are relatively flexible and are liable to contract when subjected to an radial thrust from the outside. These conditions enable the vent to be fitted on the sleeve 14 -Figs 5 and 6- from the top downwards, and thanks to the action of the intermediate sections 18 on the internal surface of the vent, to hold and block the latter firmly on the sleeve.


    Claims

    1. Anchoring device for fume vents to the top of a flue and for working together with a metal chimney weathering support, usually of lead, which rests on and adapts to the roof slope and covering elements, comprising a sleeve (14) having:

    a base (15) cut at an angle corresponding to the slope of the roof and designed to be fixed to the chimney weathering support (13), and characterised in that

    an intermediate part provided with longitudinal slots (16) extending parallel to the longitudinal direction of the sleeve (14) and forming a number of vertical strips (17) in the wall of said sleeve (14) in between said longitudinal slots (16) wherein said vertical strips (17) are relatively flexible and contractible, and are radially expanded (18) so that they are designed to engage the internal surface of a fume vent (12) when it is slipped over the sleeve to be placed in position.


     
    2. Device according to claim 1, in which said sleeve (14) is made of metal, and each of said vertical strips (17) has at least an intermediate part (18) bent, that is expanded radially in respect to the external surface of the sleeve, the intermediate portions of said strips contracting in proportion to the internal dimension of the vent fitted on the sleeve.
     
    3. Device according to the previous claims, in which at a level above said slots a peripheral groove (19) has been provided.
     


    Ansprüche

    1. Verankerungsvorrichtung für Rauchabzüge oberhalb eines Schornsteins, ausgestattet mit einer Abschlusshalterung aus Metall, normalerweise aus Blei, die sich an die Neigung des Daches und an die Abdeckungsvorrichtungen anpasst und darauf abstützt und die mit einer Manschette (14) versehen ist, bestehend aus:

    einem Sockel (15), der entsprechend der Neigung des Daches auf Gehrung geschnitten ist und dazu dient, auf der Abschlusshalterung (13) befestigt zu werden, und der sich dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass

    ein mittlerer Teil mit Längsrillen ausgestattet ist (16), die parallel zur Längsrichtung der Manschette verlaufen (14) und die in der Außenwand der o.g. Manschette (14) zwischen diesen Längsrillen (16) eine Vielzahl von vertikalen Streifen abgrenzen (17), und dass Die besagten vertikalen Streifen (17) sind relativ elastisch und zusammenziehend, in radialer Richtung sind sie dehnbar (18), so dass sie die interne Oberfläche eines Rauchabzugs (12) abdecken, wenn dieser beim Einbau in die Manschette eingeführt wird.


     
    2. Einer Vorrichtung gemäß Anforderung 1, wobei der besagte Manschette (14) aus Metall besteht und bei der jeder einzelne Vertikalstreifen (17) mindestens aus einem mittleren gefältelten Teil(18) besteht, die in Bezug auf die äußere Oberfläche der Manschette in radialer Richtung elastisch ist. Die mittleren Abschnitte dieser Streifen ziehen sich entsprechend der Innenabmessungen des an der Manschette befestigten Rauchabzugs zusammen.
     
    3. Einer Vorrichtung gemäß den vorgenannten Anforderungen, wobei denen oberhalb der o.g. Rillen eine Dichtungsnut angebracht ist (19).
     


    Revendications

    1. Dispositif d'ancrage pour exutoires de fumées au sommet d'un conduit de fumée et opérant avec un solin d'appui métallique, usuellement en plomb, s'appuyant et s'adaptant à la pente du toit et des éléments de couverture, comprenant un manchon (14) avec
    une base (15) coupée en angle par rapport à la pente du toit et destinée à être fixée sur le solin d'appui (13), et caractérisé en ce que
    une partie intermédiaire prévue avec des fentes longitudinales (16) qui s'étendent parallèlement à la direction longitudinale du manchon (14) et qui délimitent plusieurs bandes verticales (17) dans la paroi de ce même manchon (14) entre les fentes longitudinales (16), et en ce que ces bandes verticales (17) sont relativement élastiques et contractiles et sont dilatées radialement (18) de manière à engager la surface interne d'un exutoire de fumées (12) lorsqu'il est enfilé sur le manchon pour son placement.
     
    2. Dispositif selon la revendication 1, dans lequel dit manchon (14) est en métal, et chacune de ces bandes verticales (17) a au moins une partie intermédiaire (18) pliée, qui s'étend radialement par rapport à la surface externe du manchon, alors que les parties intermédiaires de ces bandes se contractent de manière correspondante à la dimension interne de l'exutoire appliqué sur le manchon.
     
    3. Dispositif selon les revendications précédentes, dans lequel une gorge périphérique est prévue au-dessus de ces fentes (19).
