(54) VIBRATION DAMPING DEVICE FOR PUMP


(57) A vibration damping device 26 for a pump 1 includes a liquid flow path 27 which is disposed at an outer peripheral portion of a casing 11 positioned in a suction sump 5 and which accommodates liquid inside itself so that the liquid can flow. The liquid flow path 27 is provided with a liquid flow resistor 36 for suppressing flowing of the liquid in the liquid flow path 27. Flow resistance in combination with an effect of a liquid column dynamic vibration absorber absorbs earthquake vibration energy to thereby suppress vibrations.
