    Description

    [0001] The present invention relates to the sector of door and window frames, and in particular to curtains of the rolling type.

    [0002] It is known that rolling curtains are equipped with an actuating spring that must be pre-loaded at the moment of installation.

    [0003] The present invention regards an innovative pre-loading device that is particularly convenient and safe to install, in so far as it does not require particular equipment or arrangements for mounting and installation.

    [0004] Known from WO 2009/128108 is a spring-winding device that envisages a bushing provided with front-engagement teeth (i.e., ones engaging in an axial direction), wherein the element that rigidly connects the winding spring to the lateral support is divided into two parts that can slide axially with respect to one another, one of which has a series of teeth once again of the front-engagement type. According to the position of axial sliding, the teeth do or do not engage: if the teeth engage, the winding spring has its ends blocked, whereas, if the teeth do not engage, the spring exerts its own force on the tube via the end engaged in the latter. The teeth do not engage when the spring is located in its seat since installation determines sliding of the two parts with front teeth in the sense of releasing the teeth from engagement. The teeth of said two axially slidable parts are rigid and are unable to undergo any elastic deformation.

    [0005] A disadvantage of the above known device is represented by the fact that, in the device described in WO 2009/128108, there is always necessary a force that keeps the teeth of the two axially sliding components constantly in front engagement in order to enable rotation only in the loading direction.

    [0006] It is known, from WO 2012/064270, a device for preloading of a rewind mechanism for a fabric arranged on an elongated tube or the like of a roller blind, a projector screen or the like. The rewind mechanism is arranged to be essentially inserted into said tube and includes a spring, that is tensioned when the fabric is rolled out and relieved when the fabric is rolled up onto the tube. The device includes an outer mounting element, that is arranged to be attached to the tube, and an inner mounting element, that is arranged to be attached to an outer bracket, said mounting elements being rotatingly arranged in relation to each other about a longitudinal axis of said tube. A spring element is arranged between said mounting elements and includes a sleeve, in which said spring is arranged. The sleeve has an inner diameter that is smaller than the outer diameter of the spring in an untensioned condition, wherein said spring is arranged inside the sleeve by being inserted therein in a pretensioned condition.

    [0007] US 2014/014281 discloses a roller shade which may include: a roller; an axle located in the roller; an adjustable counterbalancing mechanism configured to counter balance a rotation of the roller wherein the counterbalancing mechanism is configured to impart a rotational force on the roller and the rotational force is adjusted by rotating the axle; and a locking mechanism attached to the roller and configured to lock the axle at a given angular orientation, wherein the locking mechanism includes a shear pin.

    [0008] Furthermore, DE 10 2011 050666 a winding assembly which has an outside retainer provided for a cord or a curtain, where a hollow shaft is coupled to a drive wheel at one end. A pulling force is applied by the cord on the drive wheel to rotate a hollow shaft in a winding direction. A spring motor arranged in the hollow shaft is tensioned during winding of the cord. An unwinding operation is supported by applying a rotational force on the hollow shaft.

    [0009] One of the purposes of the present invention is to overcome the above drawbacks by providing a device equipped with an element that is not present in WO 2009/128108 and is provided with engagement teeth that are elastically deformable in a radial, and not axial, direction, thus rendering unnecessary the constant presence of an axial force that constantly keeps in front engagement the front teeth of the two axially slidable components that, together, connect the winding spring to the lateral support.

    [0010] A better understanding of the invention will be obtained from the ensuing detailed description with reference to the figures listed below, which illustrate a preferred embodiment of the invention.

    [0012] In what follows reference will be made to the case of rolling mosquito screens, but the teachings may be applied - without modifications - to any type of rolling curtain.

    [0013] The device D illustrated in Figure 1 is designed for carrying out pre-loading of the spring that enables winding and unwinding of the screen on the tube in rolling mosquito screens.

    [0014] In particular, loading of the spring occurs without any possibility of it unwinding dangerously during installation on account of a wrong manoeuvre on the part of the installer.

    [0015] A peculiar characteristic of the invention lies in the fact that, unlike what occurs for traditional devices, loading of the spring can be carried out prior to installation, i.e., during assembly of the components in the box of the rolling curtain, and not, as usually occurs, directly at the moment of installation when the box is mounted on the door or window frame.

    [0016] Furthermore, in the event of deterioration or failure of the mesh of the mosquito screen, dismantling and replacement thereof can be carried out in a faster way.

    [0017] With reference to the figures listed above, the device D comprises a plurality of elements coaxial to one another and sharing the axis of the rolling mosquito screen, namely: an external support 1; an engagement pin 2; a retaining spring 3; an internal bushing 4; a snap-action spring 5; and a spring pin 6. All these elements are described hereinafter.

    [0018] As regards the external support 1, inserted therein is the tube TR on which the mosquito screen is rolled. Assembled coaxially to the support 1 are the components that constitute the device D, and the support itself is moreover provided with a toothed inner area with a substantially saw-tooth profile that is of primary importance for operation thereof.

    [0019] On the outer surface of said support 1, a projection 10 is provided that projects in a radial direction and has a body with longitudinal development, like a spline, having the purpose of constraining in rotation the tube TR of the mosquito screen on the support 1. Accordingly, this tube TR envisages one or more internal longitudinal grooves designed to co-operate with said projection 10.

    [0020] Furthermore, the proximal end of the support 1 has a perimetral shoulder 14 designed to provide a valid resting contrast for the screen tube TR on which the mosquito screen is rolled.

    [0021] The engagement pin 2 has the dual function of connection between the device and the lateral end piece for fixing the mosquito screen to the door or window frame and between the device D and the pre-loading spring through the spring pin 6. It has a distal-end area having a square cross section, located on which is the snap-action spring 5. Provided in the outer part of the proximal end is an area that has, preferably, both a slot with a hexagonal cross section and a protrusion having a square (or hexagonal) shape that enables loading of the spring using appropriate wrenches of an Allen-wrench type or of a fixed-wrench type. Adjacent to the proximal end a shoulder 12 is provided on which the retaining spring 3 comes to bear. In order to prevent any sticking during the relative axial movement between the pin 2 and the support 1, provided on the outside of the retaining spring 3 and adjacent to the shoulder 12 is a tubular sleeve 13 designed to slide freely within the support 1.

    [0022] The retaining spring 3, with axial thrust, keeps the components of the ensemble in the correct working position. Prior to installation, the retaining spring 3 is not compressed or is only slightly compressed and enables engagement for loading in so far as the spring pin 6 bears upon the distal end of the tube support 1 and keeps the snap-action spring 5 in a position such that it can mesh with the internal toothing of the tube support 1. After installation, the retaining spring 3 tends (as will be seen more clearly from what follows) to bring the parts back into the position of engagement of the snap-action spring 5 with the toothed part of the tube support 1.

    [0023] The internal bushing 4, preferably made of brass, during operation, has the function of a thrust bearing between the retaining spring 3 and the snap-action spring 5, as well as that of longitudinal-guide bearing between the cylindrical body of the engagement pin and the tube support 1. It is only the latter, in fact, that turns during winding-unwinding of the pre-loading spring (i.e., closing-opening of the mosquito screen).

    [0024] The snap-action spring 5, thanks to the particular nature of its geometry and of the material of which it is made, constitutes the true novelty of the device. It is substantially constituted by a bushing with one or more saw-tooth external teeth, designed to undergo elastic deformation in a radial direction. It is made of plastic material containing elastomer that enables it to bend elastically its own teeth in a radial direction to engage by snap action the teeth present inside the tube support 1 and simultaneously to be able to turn and thus load the pre-loading spring MP of the mosquito screen.

    [0025] On the spring pin 6 the end part of the pre-loading spring MP is fixed. Assembly of said spring pin 6 with the engagement pin 2 is obtained via a self-tapping screw 7.

    OPERATION OF THE DEVICE

    [0026] The pre-loading device D according to the present invention is designed to be mounted in the tube TR with round section, on which the mesh of the mosquito screen is rolled and, more precisely, at the end of said round tube and simultaneously at the end of the pre-loading spring MP that brings about rolling and unrolling of the mosquito screen itself (see Figure 9) and that is protected by the spring tube TM.

    [0027] By holding stationary the tube TR on which the screen is placed, it is sufficient to turn the engagement pin 2 (for example, with a hexagonal Allen wrench or with a spanner) so as to get also the snap-action spring 5 and the spring pin 6, which are fixed in rotation with respect thereto, to turn.

    [0028] The aforesaid snap-action spring 5 can turn, with respect to the tube support 1, only in the loading direction (clockwise according to the arrow of Figure 2) thanks to the elastic teeth DM having a saw-tooth profile with which it is equipped, but cannot turn in the opposite direction given the geometry of said teeth.

    [0029] The above teeth DM of the snap-action spring 5, which according to the invention are flexible and undergo deformation in a radial direction, during rotation engage the rigid teeth DS present within the tube support 1 so as to enable loading of the pre-loading spring MP. The greater the number of turns made, the more the spring MP will be loaded (see Figures 4, 7).

    [0030] Once the desired loading has been achieved for the spring MP by actuating the pre-loading device D installed on the tube TR of the mosquito screen, it is sufficient to insert the square head of the engagement pin 2 in the seat purposely provided on the lateral end piece 11 for fixing of the mosquito screen to the door or window frame (see Figures 9-10).

    [0031] According to a peculiar characteristic of the present invention, when this operation of positioning in situ of the end of the device D in the lateral fixing end piece 11 is performed, the engagement pin 2 is displaced axially with respect to the tube support 1 towards the centre of the mosquito screen, and this displacement advantageously exerts a thrust on the snap-action spring 5, which translates together with the spring pin 6 until it disengages from the toothed area inside the tube support 1 (see Figure 8). In this way, the mechanism according to the present invention is in the working position; namely, it is free to turn in both directions of rotation (either clockwise or counterclockwise), which is equivalent to saying that the mosquito screen can be opened and closed normally.

    [0032] It is should be noted that the above axial displacement of the engagement pin 2 with respect to the support 1 of the tube TR of the mosquito screen causes exertion of a thrust on the retaining spring 3, which, undergoing axial compression, applies a force of contrast on the bushing 4 that, with its external circumference, bears upon the internal toothing of the tube support 1. This compression of the retaining spring 3 enables the device D to be brought back into the pre-loading configuration as soon as it is removed from the lateral fixing end piece 11.

    ASSEMBLY OF THE COMPONENTS

    [0033] From the operating standpoint, there should be noted the simplicity of installation. In fact, assembly of the device simply requires the following operations:

    A - inserting the retaining spring 3 and the bushing 4 made of brass on the part with round section of the engagement pin 2;

    B - resting the tube support 1 and the snap-action spring 5, inserting it in the part with square section of the engagement pin 2;

    C - inserting the spring pin 6 until it is brought to bear upon the engagement pin 2 and upon the tube support 1; and

    D - inserting the fixing screw 7, preferably a self-tapping screw, and screwing it until all the components are brought to bear properly on one another.

    [0034] The device is thus assembled with the aid of a single fixing screw 7.

    13. Vorrichtung (D) nach einem oder mehreren der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass, sobald die gewünschte Vorspannung für die Feder (MP) erreicht ist, der quadratische Kopf des Eingriffsstifts (2) sich in dem auf dem seitlichen Endstück (11) vorgesehenen Sitz zum Befestigen des Mückengitters an dem Tür- oder Festerrahmen befindet, so dass der Eingriffsstift (2) bezüglich des äußeren Trägers (1) zur Mitte des Mückengitters axial verschoben wird, und diese Verschiebung einen Schub auf die Schnappfeder (5) bewirkt, die sich zusammen mit dem Federstift (6) verschiebt, bis sie außer Eingriff mit dem zahnförmigen Innenbereich des äußeren Trägers (1) selbst kommt, so dass die Vorrichtung selbst in beiden Drehrichtungen derart frei drehen kann, dass das Mückengitter normal geöffnet und geschlossen werden kann.

    14. Vorrichtung (D) nach den Ansprüchen 2 und 13, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die axiale Verschiebung des Eingriffsstifts (2) bezüglich des äußeren Trägers (1) des Gitterrohrs (TR) für das Mückengitter einen Schub auf die Haltefeder (3) bewirkt, die, da sie axial zusammengedrückt wird, eine Gegenkraft auf die Buchse (4) ausübt, die mit ihrem äußeren Umfang an der Innenverzahnung des äußeren Trägers (1) anliegt, wodurch erreicht wird, dass das Zusammendrücken der Haltefeder (3) die Vorrichtung (D) zurück in den Vorspannzustand bringt, sobald sie von dem seitlichen Befestigungsendstück (11) entfernt ist.

    Revendications

    1. Dispositif (D) pour la précharge d'un ressort de précharge (MP) d'un rideau à enroulement qui peut être installé entre ledit rideau et une pièce d'extrémité latérale (11) pour fixer le rideau à une structure portante, ledit dispositif peut être installé de manière coaxiale à au moins une extrémité d'un tube enrouleur (TR) sur lequel un rideau à enroulement ou une moustiquaire est enroulé et en ce qu'il comprend, en combinaison :

    - un support externe (1), tubulaire, sur lequel le tube enrouleur (TR) peut être monté, ayant une zone intérieure dentée avec un profil sensiblement en dents de scie ;

    - une goupille élastique (6) qui est montée à l'extrémité du ressort de précharge (MP) ;

    - une goupille d'engagement (2) qui a la double fonction de connexion entre le dispositif (D) et la pièce d'extrémité latérale (11) pour fixer la moustiquaire, ainsi qu'entre le dispositif (D) et le ressort de précharge (MP) par le biais de ladite goupille élastique (6) ; dans lequel ladite goupille d'engagement a une zone d'extrémité distale ayant une section transversale carrée ou polygonale, sur laquelle est situé le ressort à déclic (5) ;

    - une bague interne (4) qui, durant le fonctionnement, a la fonction de support entre le ressort de retenue (3) et le ressort à déclic (5), ainsi que la fonction de support de guidage longitudinal entre le corps cylindrique de la goupille d'engagement (2) et le support externe (1), qui est le seul élément qui tourne durant l'enroulement-déroulement du ressort de précharge, c'est-à-dire durant la fermeture-ouverture de la moustiquaire ; caractérisé en ce que le dispositif comprend

    - un ressort à déclic (5) qui est essentiellement constitué par une bague avec une ou plusieurs dents externes en dent de scie, conçue pour subir une déformation élastique dans une direction radiale et coopérer avec ladite zone dentée interne du support externe (1), où les dents dudit ressort à déclic (5) sont déformables élastiquement et font saillie dans une direction radiale, et non axiale, par rapport à l'axe du rideau à enroulement ;

    dans lequel lesdits éléments sont positionnés de manière coaxiale l'un par rapport à l'autre et de manière à partager l'axe du rideau à enroulement.

    2. Dispositif (D) selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend en outre un ressort de retenue (3), avec poussée axiale, qui maintient les composants de l'ensemble dans la position de travail correcte : avant l'installation, ledit ressort de retenue (3) n'est pas comprimé ou est légèrement comprimé et permet un engagement pour le chargement dans la mesure où la goupille élastique (6) s'appuie sur l'extrémité distale du support externe (1) et maintient le ressort à déclic (5) dans une position telle qu'il peut s'engrener avec la denture interne du support externe (1) ; après l'installation, le ressort de retenue (3) tend à ramener les parties du dispositif dans la configuration d'engagement dudit ressort à déclic (5) avec la partie dentée du support externe (1) lui-même.

    3. Dispositif (D) selon la revendication 1 ou la revendication 2, caractérisé en ce que sur la surface extérieure dudit support externe (1) est prévue une saillie (10) qui fait saillie dans une direction radiale et a un corps avec développement longitudinal, comme une cannelure, ayant pour but de contraindre en rotation le tube enrouleur (TR) de la moustiquaire sur le support externe (1) lui-même ; ledit tube enrouleur (TR) prévoyant en conséquence une ou plusieurs rainures longitudinales internes conçues pour coopérer avec ladite saillie (10).

    4. Dispositif (D) selon la revendication 3, caractérisé en ce que l'extrémité proximale du support externe (1) a un épaulement périphérique (14) conçu pour fournir un élément de contraste d'appui efficace pour le tube enrouleur (TR) sur lequel la moustiquaire est enroulée.

    5. Dispositif (D) selon une ou plusieurs des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que dans la partie extérieure de l'extrémité proximale de la goupille d'engagement (2) est une zone qui a une fente avec une section transversale hexagonale et/ou une saillie ayant une forme carrée ou hexagonale qui permettent/permet le chargement du ressort au moyen de clés appropriées d'un type clé Allen ou d'un type clé fixe.

    6. Dispositif (D) selon la revendication 2, caractérisé en ce qu'un épaulement (12) sur lequel vient en appui le ressort de retenue (3) est prévu adjacent à l'extrémité proximale de la goupille d'engagement (2).

    7. Dispositif (D) selon la revendication 6, caractérisé en ce que, pour empêcher tout collage durant le mouvement axial relatif entre la goupille d'engagement (2) et le support externe (1), un manchon tubulaire (13) conçu pour coulisser librement dans le support externe (1) lui-même est prévu à l'extérieur du ressort de retenue (3) et adjacent audit épaulement (12).

    8. Dispositif (D) selon une ou plusieurs des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que ledit ressort à déclic (5) est réalisé en un matériau plastique contenant un élastomère qui lui permet de courber élastiquement ses propres dents dans une direction radiale de manière qu'elles puissent engager par déclic les dents présentes dans le support externe (1) et simultanément pour faire tourner et ainsi charger le ressort de précharge (MP) du rideau à enroulement ou de la moustiquaire.

    9. Dispositif (D) selon une ou plusieurs des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que l'assemblage de ladite goupille élastique (6) avec la goupille d'engagement (2) est obtenu par le biais d'une vis auto-taraudeuse coaxiale (7).

    10. Dispositif (D) selon une ou plusieurs des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce qu'il est monté dans le tube enrouleur (TR) avec section transversale circulaire sur lequel la moustiquaire est enroulée et, simultanément, à l'extrémité du ressort de précharge (MP) qui force la moustiquaire elle-même à être enroulée et déroulée et qui est protégée par un tube à ressort (TM).

    11. Dispositif (D) selon une ou plusieurs des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que, pour précharger le ressort de précharge (MP), en maintenant immobile le tube enrouleur (TR) sur lequel la moustiquaire est enroulée, la goupille d'engagement (2) est tournée de manière à faire tourner également le ressort à déclic (5) et la goupille élastique (6) fixés en rotation par rapport à celle-ci.

    12. Dispositif (D) selon une ou plusieurs des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que les dents du ressort à déclic (5) sont flexibles et subissent une déformation dans une direction radiale et, durant la rotation, engagent les dents rigides présentes dans le support externe (1) de manière à permettre le chargement du ressort de précharge (MP).

    13. Dispositif (D) selon une ou plusieurs des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que, une fois que la charge désirée a été atteinte pour le ressort (MP), la tête carrée de la goupille d'engagement (2) est installée dans le siège prévu spécifiquement sur la pièce d'extrémité latérale (11) pour la fixation de la moustiquaire au cadre de porte ou de fenêtre ; de sorte que la goupille d'engagement (2) est déplacée axialement par rapport au support externe (1) vers le centre de la moustiquaire et ledit déplacement entraîne une poussée sur le ressort à déclic (5), qui se déplace par translation conjointement à la goupille élastique (6) jusqu'à ce qu'il se désengage de la zone dentée interne au support externe (1) lui-même, de manière que le dispositif soit libre de tourner dans les deux directions de rotation de manière qu'une moustiquaire puisse être ouverte et fermée normalement.

    14. Dispositif (D) selon les revendications 2 et 13, caractérisé en ce que ledit déplacement axial de la goupille d'engagement (2), par rapport au support externe (1) du tube enrouleur (TR) pour la moustiquaire, provoque une poussée sur le ressort de retenue (3) qui, étant comprimé axialement, applique une force de contraste sur la bague (4) qui, avec sa circonférence extérieure, appuie sur la denture interne du support externe (1) ; en obtenant ainsi que ladite compression du ressort de retenue (3) ramène le dispositif (D) dans la configuration de précharge dès qu'il est retiré de la pièce d'extrémité latérale (11).
