[0001] The present invention relates to an elastic and ergonomic handle.
[0002] In particular, the present invention relates to an elastic and ergonomic handle,
of the type made of plastic and applicable to objects and utensils.
[0003] As it is known, different types of plastic handles exist, which are produced by molding
and having a structure provided with lamellae. In fact, this structure allows to stiffen
and make firmer the handle, but it has the problem of being un-ergonomic causing pain
in the user's hands especially when the handle is used to lift a heavy object.
[0004] Further limitation of known plastic handles is the need to employ large amounts of
plastic material for their production, resulting in increased weight and cost of the
handle itself.
[0005] Scope of the present invention is to provide an elastic and ergonomic handle realized
entirely of plastic material by molding and which is light and handy, therefore having
characteristics such as to overcome the limitations that still affect the current
handle with reference to the prior art.
[0006] According to the present invention, an elastic and ergonomic handle is provided,
as defined in claim 1.
[0007] For a better understanding of the present invention a preferred embodiment is now
described, purely by way of non-limiting example, with reference to the accompanying
drawings, in which:
- Figures 1a and 1b show examples of plastic handles, according to the prior art;
- Figure 2 shows a first overall schematic three-dimensional view of an elastic and
ergonomic handle, according to the invention;
- Figure 3 shows a second schematic three-dimensional view of the elastic and ergonomic
handle, according to the invention;
- Figure 4 shows a schematic section view of the elastic and ergonomic handle, according
to the invention;
- Figures 5a and 5b respectively show a first and a second three-dimensional view of
the elastic and ergonomic handle applied to the handle of a plastic household object,
according to the invention.
[0008] With reference to these figures and, in particular, to the figures 2 and 3, an elastic
and ergonomic handle is shown, according to the invention.
[0009] More specifically, the elastic and ergonomic handle 1 is made entirely of plastic
material.
[0010] According to a preferred embodiment, as shown in Figure 4, the handle 1 has a section
2 having a serpentine shape inscribed in an oval shape.
[0011] In particular, the section 2 of the handle 1 has at least one first protrusion 2a
and at least a second protrusion 2b, oriented in the opposite direction to the first
one.
[0012] According to a preferred embodiment, as shown in Figure 4, the section 2 comprises
a third protrusion 2c and a fourth protrusion 2d specular respectively to the second
protrusion 2b and to the first protrusion 2a.
[0013] The handle 1, shown in Figure 5, is applied to a handle of a plastic household object.
Such handle 1 can be applied to the object or, alternatively, integrated in the object
itself.
[0014] Advantageously according to the invention, the handle 1 increases the friction during
the gripping or lifting of the object connected to it.
[0015] Advantageously according to the invention, the section of the handle 1 can be produced
by injection molding, without needing any carts or undercuts, using simpler molds.
[0016] Advantageously, the handle 1 according to the invention possesses a section such
as to ensure smoothness effect to the touch, without the need for additional materials
or coatings.
[0017] Further advantage of the handle 1 according to the invention is that it has greater
resistance to torsion and compression as compared to known handles.
[0018] Finally, advantageously the handle 1 according to the invention provides good ergonomic
characteristics with material used less of about 40% compared with prior art, with
consequent reduction of costs and weight.
[0019] Therefore, the elastic and ergonomic handle according to the invention allows to
obtain a stable and safe grip without the use of materials or operations that would
increase the production costs.
[0020] Advantageously, the elastic and ergonomic handle according to the invention is economical,
convenient and practical.
[0021] Finally, the elastic and ergonomic handle according to the invention is flexible
and easy to use.
[0022] Finally, it is clear that the elastic and ergonomic handle here described and illustrated
may be subject to modifications and variations without thereby departing from the
scope of the present invention, as defined in the appended claims.
1. Elastic and ergonomic handle (1) comprising a section (2), characterized in that the section (2) is a serpentine comprised in an oval shape.
2. Elastic and ergonomic handle (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the section (2) comprised at least a first protrusion (2a) and at least a second
protrusion (2b), oriented in opposite direction with respect to the first protrusion
(2a), at least a third protrusion (2c) specular to the second protrusion (2b) and
at least a fourth protrusion (2d) specular to the first protrusion (2a) .
3. Elastic and ergonomic handle (1) according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in being entirely made of plastics.
4. Elastic and ergonomic handle (1) according to any of preceding claim, characterized in that the section (2) is produced by injection molding.
5. Elastic and ergonomic handle (1) according to any of preceding claim, characterized in that it is devoid of further materials or coatings.
