BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a drawer front construction for pharmacy chests of drawers.

[0002] As is known, in pharmacies and parapharmacies, chests of drawers are conventionally used for storing the pharmaceutical products.

[0003] The above chests of drawers should have good functional and design characteristics, which properties, in such an activity, are a very important requirement.

[0004] A further important need is that of providing chests of drawers having a winning and modern design, with a possibility of customizing the drawer colors and fronts. Examples of such chests of drawers are disclosed for example in WO 2004/073454 A1 and US 5,730,511.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005] The aim of the present invention is to provide a drawer front construction, particularly for chests of drawers for storing pharmaceutical products in pharmacies, which may be easily customized.

[0006] Within the scope of the above mentioned aim, a main object of the invention is to provide a drawer front construction which may be easily customized even by a user.

[0007] Another object of the invention is to provide such a construction which may be easily and quickly assembled.

[0008] Another object of the present invention is to provide a modular type of drawer front construction.

[0009] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a drawer front construction which has a winning design.

[0010] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide such a drawer front construction which is very reliable and safe in operation.

[0011] According to one aspect of the present invention, the above mentioned aim and objects, as well as yet other objects, which will become more apparent hereinafter, are achieved by a drawer front construction, particularly for pharmacy chests of drawers, according to the enclosed claims.

Figure 5 is a view showing the chest of drawers of Figure 4 having some drawers in a fully opened or in a partially opened condition.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0013] With reference to the number references of the above mentioned figures, the drawer front construction, particularly for pharmacy chests of drawers and the like, according to the present invention, which has been generally indicated by the reference number 1, comprises two main elements: a first contoured or shaped element 2, to be associated to the front zone of a drawer body 3, and designed for removably receiving therein a second decorative element 4.

[0014] The first shaped or contoured element 2 is substantially rigid, whereas the second decorative element 4 is resiliently deformable to be engaged in coupling means formed in the first element 2.

[0015] The coupling means of the first element 2 comprise a first edge 5 and a second edge 6, extending on the two long sides, that is the top and bottom sides, of a substantially plane wall 8 of the first element 2.

[0016] At least one of the two edges, in this case the second edge 6, is formed along a projecting lug 7 formed along one of the long sides of the wall 8 of the first shaped element 2.

[0017] The cantilevered lug 7 is advantageously curved and defines, with said wall 8, at least a longitudinal recess 9 extending through the overall side of said wall.

[0018] The second decorative element 4 comprises a flat plate body, of substantially rectangular configuration, which defines two long or longitudinal edges 10 and 11.

[0019] Thus, by slightly deforming the plate 4, its two edges 10 and 11 may be engaged in the recesses formed by the edges 5 and 6 of the shaped body 2 or, alternatively, in the longitudinal recess 9 thereof.

[0020] Figures 2 and 3 show two assembling examples for assembling the decorative element 4 in the shaped body 2.

[0021] The first shaped body or element 2 is preferably made of a metal material, but it could be also made of any comparatively rigid materials, whereas the decorative element 4 is preferably made of a plastics material, but may be also made of any other sufficiently flexible materials.

[0022] It has been found that the invention fully achieves the intended aim and objects.

[0023] In fact, the invention has provided a chest front construction including only two component elements which may be quickly and easily assembled, without using clamping tools and systems.

[0024] The decorative element is constituted by a simple molded plastics insert and may be easily replaced, thereby allowing the chests of drawers to be easily customized.

[0025] The inventive construction is very advantageous from the economic and operating standpoint, compared to prior systems used for customizing the pharmacy chests of drawers.

Claims

1. A front construction (1) for drawers, particularly for pharmacy chests of drawers and the like, comprising a second decorative element (4) and a first shaped element (2), to be associated with a front zone of a drawer body (3), and adapted to removably engage therein the second decorative element (4), said first shaped element (2) being substantially rigid and said second decorative element (4) being elastically deformable to be engaged in coupling means formed (5, 6, 9) in the first shaped element (2), said coupling means of said first shaped element (2) comprise a first edge (5) and a second edge (6); said edges extending through two long sides, a top and bottom side, of a substantially flat wall (8) of the first shaped element (2), at least one (6) of said edges (5, 6) being formed along a cantilevered lug (7) formed through one of the long longitudinal sides of the wall (8) of the first shaped element (2), said cantilevered lug (7) being curved and forming, with the wall (8) of the first element (2), at least a longitudinal recess (9) extending through the overall side of said wall (8), characterized in that said second decorative element (4) is a flat plate body, of a substantially rectangular configuration, defining two long or longitudinal edges (10, 11) thereby, by slightly elastically deforming said flat plate body (4), said edges (10, 11) may be engaged in recesses defined by the edges (5, 6) of said shaped body (2) or, alternatively, in the longitudinal recess (9) of said shaped body (2).

2. A front construction for drawers, according to claim 1, characterized in that said first shaped element (2) is a metal element whereas said decorative element (4) is a plastics element.

Ansprüche

1. Frontkonstruktion (1) für Schubladen, insbesondere für pharmazeutische Schubladenkommoden und dergleichen, umfassend ein zweites dekoratives Element (4) und ein erstes geformtes Element (2), das mit einer Frontzone eines Schubladenkörpers (3) verbunden sein soll und geeignet ist, um dort entfernbar das zweite dekorative Element (4) einzusetzen, wobei das erste geformte Element (2) im Wesentlichen starr ist und das zweite dekorative Element (4) elastisch verformbar ist, um in Koppelmitteln (5, 6, 9) eingesetzt zu werden, die in dem ersten geformten Element (2) ausgebildet sind, wobei die Koppelmittel des ersten geformten Elements (2) eine erste Kante (5) und eine zweite Kante (6) umfassen; wobei die Kanten sich durch zwei lange Seiten, eine obere und untere Seite, einer im Wesentlichen flachen Wand (8) des ersten geformten Elements (2) erstrecken, mindestens eine (6) der Kanten (5, 6) entlang eines auskragenden Ansatzes (7) ausgebildet ist, der durch eine der langen Längsseiten der Wand (8) des ersten geformten Elements (2) ausgebildet ist, wobei der auskragende Ansatz (7) gebogen ist und mit der Wand (8) des ersten Elements (2) mindestens eine Längsmulde (9) bildet, die sich durch die gesamte Seite der Wand (8) erstreckt, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das zweite dekorative Element (4) ein flacher Plattenkörper von im Wesentlichen rechteckiger Konfiguration ist, der zwei lange oder longitudinale Kanten (10, 11) definiert, und dass durch leicht elastisches Verformen des flachen Plattenkörpers (4) die Kanten (10, 11) in die Mulden gesetzt werden können, die von den Kanten (5, 6) des geformten Körpers (2) definiert werden, oder alternativ in die Längsmulde (9) des geformten Körpers (2) .

2. Frontkonstruktion für Schubladen nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das erste geformte Element (2) ein Metallelement ist, während das dekorative Element (4) ein Kunststoffelement ist.

Revendications

1. Structure avant (1) pour tiroirs, particulièrement pour meubles de pharmacie à tiroirs et similaires, comprenant un second élément décoratif (4) et un premier élément façonné (2) à associer avec une zone avant d'un corps de tiroir (3) et apte à engager de manière amovible le second élément décoratif (4) à l'intérieur, ledit premier élément façonné (2) étant sensiblement rigide et le second élément décoratif (4) étant élastiquement déformable pour être engagé dans des éléments de couplage (5, 6, 9) formés dans le premier élément façonné (2), lesdits moyens de couplage dudit premier élément façonné (2) comprenant un premier bord (5) et un second bord (6) ; lesdits bords s'étendant à travers deux longues faces, une face supérieure et une face inférieure, d'une paroi sensiblement plate (8) du premier élément façonné (2) d'au moins un (6) desdits bords (5, 6) étant formés le long d'une barrette en porte-à-faux (7) formée à travers une des longues faces longitudinales de la paroi (8) du premier élément façonné (2), ladite barrette en porte-à-faux (7) étant courbée et formant, avec la paroi (8) du premier élément (2), au moins un retrait longitudinal (9) s'étendant à travers la face globale de ladite paroi (8), caractérisée en ce que ledit second élément décoratif (4) est un corps en plaques plates de conception sensiblement rectangulaire définissant ainsi deux bord longs ou longitudinaux (10, 11) en déformant légèrement élastiquement ledit corps en plaque plate (4), lesdits bords (10, 11) pouvant être engagés dans des retraits définis par les bords (5, 6) dudit corps façonné (2) ou alternativement dans le retrait longitudinal (9) dudit corps façonné (2).

2. Structure avant pour tiroirs selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que ledit premier élément façonné (2) est un élément métallique tandis que ledit élément décoratif (4) est un élément en plastique.
