[0001] The subject matter of the invention is a reinforced profile for sash frames according
to the preamble of claims 1 and 8 and a set of reinforced profiles according to the
preamble of claim 9. The reinforced profile as well as profiles forming the set of
reinforced profiles are made of plastic, whereby the profile of the sash frame is
matched with its shape and dimensions to the profile of window casing frame and contacts
the profile of window casing frame indirectly by seals.
[0002] The ease of manufacture of plastic profiles has resulted in that more and more often
plastic replaces the traditional material, that is wood, in the manufacture of window,
door and facade frames, as well as entire internal structures of buildings. On one
hand, the profiles are light, but on the other hand, their transverse rigidity is
usually much lower than the rigidity of square-sawn timber from which window frames
and the like are made. In order to increase the transverse rigidity of the profiles
made of plastic, for example PVC, used to manufacture window, door and façade elements,
and window casing frames, metal sections are used which are placed inside the plastic
profile. The profile of this type is known from the publication of Polish patent application
no.
P.309623, titled "Ksztattownik z tworzywa sztucznego i sposób wytwarzania ksztattownika z
tworzywa sztucznego" which describes a section or profile made of plastic, intended
for windows and doors, made substantially of thermoplastic material, and formed as
a strip with profiled chambers. In one of the chambers of this plastic profile or
section, a metal profile or section is placed.
[0003] The application specification publication
EP 0814228 A2, titled "Verstärkungsprofil für Kunststoff-Hohlprofile zur Herstellung von Fenster,
Türen oder dgl." discloses a reinforced profile consisting of several profiles. A
section made of materials having different characteristics of heat conduction is placed
in a chamber of at least one hollow profile. Reinforcing profiles can be made from
a combination of one or more metal elements and one or more plastic sections.
[0004] In turn, Publication of German Patent Application
DE 2 300 954 A1 titled "Fenster oder Fenstertür aus Kunststoff" shows windows and window door having
a fixed and movable frame made of plastic. In the plastic movable frame is fitted
a reinforcing strip made of metal, which in cross section has two superposed H-beams.
[0005] From description
GB 2 259 934 A titled "Reinforced uPVC component" is known an extruded hollow uPVC component for
use in a window or door unit. This component has one or more internal longitudinal
cavities and a reinforcing member located inside one of the cavities. The reinforcing
member is so located in the cavity as to leave substantially free from obstruction
at least one region of the cavity wall into which fixing elements can be driven, without
penetrating the reinforcing member, in order to secure the component to other items
in the window or door unit or to external fixtures or fittings.
[0006] Publication of German Utility Model Description
DE 94 06 202.1 U1 titled "Fensterflügelrahmen-Hohlprofil und daraus bestehender Doppelflügel-Fensterrahmen"
describes a frame hollow profile, in particular of plastic, the outside one serving
to mount the window glass. Each of an outer profile and an inner profile as well as
an intermediate contains a metallic reinforcing profile with a cavity placed in a
central region.
DE 94 06 202.1 U1 discloses the features of the preambles of independent claims 1 and 8.
[0007] Another way to increase the exposure to light in rooms is to reduce a height of profiles
from which frames are made. However, windows and doors, and moving parts of facades,
made from prior art low-profile sections, deform over time, which poses problems with
their opening and closing.
[0008] To sum up, low stiffness or rigidity of plastic profiles is one of the problems that
must be overcome if one wishes to use plastic profiles in the manufacture of window,
door and facade element and window casing frames.
[0009] The purpose of the present invention is to create a profile with reduced height,
the coefficient of flexural strength of which would be not lower than the coefficient
of flexural strength of currently used profiles.
[0010] According to the invention and referring to the profile this task has been solved
by a reinforced profile with features of claim 1 and 8, whereas in the case of the
set of reinforced profiles the task has been solved by features of claim 9.
[0011] Preferred embodiments of the reinforced profile and the set of reinforced profiles
according to the invention are subject of dependent claims, and also have been described
herein, in particular, in conjunction with the figures.
[0012] The object of the invention is a reinforced profile, especially a plastic profile,
for sash frames, surrounding the filling of the sash frame and comprising an external
wall with an oblique wall, a pane-surrounding wall, a middle wall with a recess for
window fitting and passing into a seal-mounted wall, and an under-pane wall, an internal
wall with an under-strip surface, and a lower wall which surround an interior of the
profile in which is created additional chambers and a main chamber in which a reinforcing
section or profile is located. The main chamber according to the invention, in the
vicinity of a lower region of the internal wall, has an additional space located below
a level of a front surface of the middle wall and surrounded by the seal-mounted wall
and by a vertical wall and by a horizontal wall of lower internal additional chambers,
whereas the reinforcing section or profile has an extension of an internal arm, which
is located in the additional space. The reinforcing section has a shape of the letter
"n", the internal wall of which with the extension and with an internal bending contacts
the vertical wall and the horizontal wall of the lower internal additional chambers.
Length of the extension of the internal arm located in the additional space below
the level of the front surface of the middle wall is no smaller than 12% of the whole
height of the profile, defined by a distance running perpendicularly to an under-pane
surface and passing through the two most distanced points of the profile. The horizontal
wall of the offset and the oblique wall of the offset diverge from an upper right
corner of the profile and the whole height of the profile amounts from 0.9 to 1.1
of the width of profile defined by the distance between the surface of the external
wall and the surface of the internal wall, whereby a height of a part of the profile
situated below the front surface of the middle wall amounts from 15% to 35% of the
whole height of_the profile.
[0013] It is true that reducing the height of the profile and increasing the exposure to
light in rooms causes the reduction of the coefficient of flexural strength in relation
to an axis situated in a plane of the cross-section of the profile and in parallel
to a plane of the front surface of the middle wall, however, the extension of the
internal arm situated in the additional space located below the level of the front
surface of the middle wall causes the coefficient of flexural strength in relation
to the mentioned axis to increase. Additionally, elongating the internal arm of the
reinforcing section causes the coefficient of flexural strength in relation to an
axis situated perpendicularly to the above mentioned axis to increase.
[0014] Preferably, the internal wall has a flat under-strip surface oriented towards the
interior of the room, which can be inclined in relation to a vertical plane by an
angle in the range from -30° to 30°.
[0015] Preferably, the internal wall has a convex under-strip surface oriented with its
convexity towards interior of the room.
[0016] According to the invention of claim 1, the main wall contacting the under-pane wall
is completed with a multiple bending, in a shape of the letter "z" lying, contacting
one of the vertical walls of the external additional chamber.
[0017] According to the invention of claim 8, the horizontal wall and the external wall
with bendings contact the under-pane wall and one of the vertical walls of the external
additional chamber.
[0018] Preferably, a height of the profile amounts from 30.0 mm to 150.0 mm, whereby a height
of a profile part situated above the under-pane wall and a height of a profile part
situated below the front surface amount from 15% to 35% of the whole height of the
profile, whereas the width of the profile amounts from 50.0 mm to 120.0 mm.
[0019] Preferably, the width of the main chamber of the profile amounts from 40% to 75%
of the width of the profile whereas the width of each of the additional chambers of
the profile amounts from 5% to 10% of the width of the profile.
[0020] Preferably, the reinforcing section having the shape of the letter "n" is made from
sheet metal or composite material.
[0021] The object of the invention is also a set of reinforced profiles, especially plastic
profiles, for window casing frames and sash frames, comprising the profile for forming
the window casing frame and a reinforced profile for forming the sash frame according
to claim 1 or claim 8, comprising an external wall with an oblique wall, a pane-surrounding
wall, a middle wall with a recess for window fitting, passing into a seal-mounted
wall, and an under-pane wall, an internal wall with an under-strip surface, and a
lower wall which surround an interior of the profile with additional chambers and
a main chamber in which a reinforcing section is located. The main chamber in the
vicinity of a lower region of the internal wall has an additional space located below
a level of a front surface of the middle wall, and surrounded by the seal-mounted
wall and by a vertical wall and by a horizontal wall of lower internal additional
chambers, and the reinforcing section has an extension of its internal arm, which
is located in the additional space. An interprofile space between the profile of the
window casing frame and the reinforced profile of the sash frame is limited from the
bottom by a middle wall of the profile and from the top by a middle wall with a seal-mounted
wall of the profile and from sides by a high-placed part of a reinforced external
wall placed above the middle wall of the profile of the window casing frame, and by
the seal-mounted wall directed downwardly and running to the internal wall of the
profile, wherein a distance a between a surface of outwardly directed edges of a longitudinal
groove and an outer surface of the internal wall increased by thickness d of a flattened
seal placed partially in a groove is equal to a distance b between surfaces of outwardly
directed edges of a longitudinal groove and an outer surface of the external wall
increased by a thickness c of a flattened seal placed partially in the groove and
wherein the outer surfaces of the profile of the window casing frame and the reinforced
profile of the sash frame are situated parallel to each other.
[0022] Preferably, the interior of the profile for forming the window casing frame and the
profile for forming the sash frame is divided into the main chamber and the additional
chambers by means of additional walls, the thickness of which does not exceed 35%
of the thickness of the external wall.
[0023] The present invention has been presented in an embodiment in drawings, in which Fig.
1 shows a cross-section of a set of reinforced profiles for window casing frames and
sash frames and demountable facade elements, Figs. 2 and 3 show cross-sections of
two various examples of a reinforced profile of sash frame that do not fall under
the scope of protection and demountable facade elements with a flat under-strip surface
of an internal wall, Figs. 4 and 5 show cross-sections of various examples of a reinforced
profile of sash frame and demountable facade elements with a flat under-strip surface
of an internal wall, Fig. 6 shows a portion of the reinforced profile of sash frames
and demountable facade elements, Fig. 7 shows a cross-section of another example of
a set of reinforced profiles for window casing frames and sash frames that does not
fall under the scope of protection, Figs. 8 and 9 show cross-sections of two further
reinforced profiles of sash frame with a convex under-strip surface of the internal
wall that do not fall under the scope of protection,
Figs. 10 and 11 show cross-sections of reinforced profiles of sash frame with a convex
under-strip surface of the internal wall from which Fig. 10 does not fall under the
scope of protection.
[0024] Fig. 1 shows a cross-section of a set of reinforced profiles, especially plastic
profiles, for window casing frames and sash frames, and demountable façade elements,
which, in order to avoid repeating the two terms, will be referred to as profiles
of sash frames. In particular, Fig. 1 shows a cross-section of a profile 10 of window
casing frame and a profile 20 of sash frame. The profile 10 of window casing frame,
which can be defined by convention as a first profile of the set presented, is matched
with its shape and dimensions to the profile 20 of the sash frame, which can be defined
by convention as a second profile and which contacts the profile 10 of window casing
indirectly by seals, in particular by a seal 30 placed in a longitudinal groove 130
and a seal 60 placed in a groove 160, closing an inter-profile space 90 between the
profiles. The profile 10 of window casing frame has a reinforced external wall 11
which is completed with an oblique wall 15 and which is, for example, reinforced partially
with an additional wall 112, a middle wall 12 connected to the additional wall 112
and to an internal wall 14 with a rebate surface 114, which, together with a wall-mounted
wall 13 with anchors 17, surround an interior of the profile 10. The interior of the
profile 10 with a longitudinal axis 110 is divided into chambers, for example into
a main chamber 19 and additional chambers 16, 116, by vertical walls 115 situated
parallel to an external surface of the external wall 11, and by horizontal walls 18
located parallel to the wall-mounted wall 13. In the main chamber 19, a first reinforcing
section 119, made from, for example, sheet metal or composite material, is placed.
Thickness of the sheet metal or the composite material sheet, from which the reinforcing
section is made, is 25% to 200% of the thickness of walls surrounding the interior
of the profile. The main part of the profile 10 without a top part 111 of the external
wall 11 and without a top part placed above the middle wall 12 has a shape of a figure
inscribable in a polygon, in particular in a rectangle. At the confluence of the oblique
wall 15 and the additional wall 112, the above-mentioned longitudinal groove 130 with
protruding edges facing each other is located, in which the seal 30 with a rebate
31 forming part of the sealing of contact area of the two profiles 10 and 20 is placed.
The seal 30 has a longitudinal leaf 32 having a cross-section in shape of a mushroom,
which is matched with its dimensions and shape to the dimensions and shape of the
longitudinal groove 130 of the profile 10 of window casing.
[0025] In turn, the profile 20 of the sash frame surrounding the filling, for example glazing,
of the sash frame has an external wall 21 with an oblique wall 121, a pane-surrounding
wall 22, a middle wall 23 with a recess 27 for a window fitting, passing into a seal-mounted
wall 123, an under-pane wall 122, an internal wall 24 with an under-strip surface
124, and a lower wall 25 which surround the interior of the profile 20. The interior
of the profile 20 with a longitudinal axis 120 is divided into chambers, for example
into a main chamber 29, internal additional chambers 26 and external additional chambers
136, by vertical walls 148 located parallel to an external surface 126 of the external
wall 21, and by horizontal walls 28 located parallel to the under-pane wall 122. The
main chamber 29, in this embodiment, in a lower region of the internal wall has an
additional space 129 located below a level of a front surface 127 of the middle wall
23 and surrounded by the seal-mounted wall 123 and by a vertical wall 128 and by a
horizontal wall 28 of lower internal additional chambers 26. In the embodiment shown
in Fig. 1, in the main chamber 29, a reinforcing profile or reinforcing section 70
in the shape of the letter "n" is placed, made for example from sheet metal or composite
material, a lower part of an internal arm of which, formed from an internal wall 74,
with an extension 75 and with an internal bending 76, contacts the vertical wall 128
and the horizontal wall 28 of the lower internal additional chambers 26 and is located
in the additional space 129, located under the level of the front surface 127 of the
middle wall 23. A remaining part of the reinforcing section 70, namely a horizontal
wall 78 of the offset, an oblique wall 77 of the offset, a main wall 71 and an external
wall 72 with an external bending 73, contacts the under-pane wall 122 and one of the
additional vertical walls 148 of the external additional chamber 136. Thickness of
the additional walls of the profiles 10, 20 does not exceed 50% of the thickness of
the external wall 11, 21, respectively. The reinforcing section is reinforced by means
of ribs 79. By extending the longer arm of the reinforcing section 70 and by placing
the lower part of the internal arm formed from the internal wall 74 with the extension
75 and with the internal bending 76 in the additional space 129 of the main chamber,
the moment of inertia is increased, and in particular the coefficient of flexural
strength relative to a straight line passing through the longitudinal axis 120 and
parallel to the under-pane wall 122 of the profile 20 is increased.
[0026] The profile 20 of the sash frame has walls which surround the interior of the profile
and which have a thickness of 2.0 mm to 3.5 mm, whereas the additional walls, surrounding
the additional chambers, have a thickness not exceeding 50% of the thickness of the
walls which surround the interior of the profile. The height of the profile 20 defined
by distance between two parallel lines running through two most distanced points of
the profile amounts from 30.0 mm to 150.0 mm, whereby height of a part of the profile
situated above the under-pane wall 122 and height of a profile part situated below
the front surface amount from 25% to 35% the whole height of the profile. In turn,
a width of the profile, defined by a distance between a surface of the external wall
and a surface of the internal wall, amounts from 50.0 mm to 120.0 mm, whereas a width
of the main chamber amounts from 40% to 75% of the whole width of the profile and
a width of each of additional chambers amounts from 5% to 10% of the whole width of
the profile.
[0027] In one of the embodiments the whole height of the profile 20 defined by the distance
running perpendicularly to an under-pane surface 122 and through two most distanced
points of the profile amounts from 0.9 to 1.1 of the width of profile 20 defined by
a distance between a surface of the external wall and a surface of the internal wall,
whereby the height of a part of the profile situated below the front surface 127 of
the middle wall 23 amounts from 15% to 35% of the whole height of the profile. Additionally,
the extension 75 of the internal arm of the reinforced profile placed in the additional
space 129 below the level of the front surface 127 of the middle wall 23 is no smaller
than 12% of the whole height of the profile 20 defined by a distance running perpendicularly
to an under-pane surface and through the two most distanced points of the profile
20. Such proportions between the width of the profile, the whole height of the profile
and the height of the part below the front surface of the middle wall as well as the
length of the arm extension of the reinforced profile allow to create a low-height
profile that increase lightening of rooms after using the low-height profiles to construct
windows, doors and outer facade.
[0028] At the confluence of the oblique wall 121 and the pane-surrounding wall 22, a longitudinal
groove 150 with protruding edges facing each other is located, in which a seal 50
with a closing rabbet 51 is placed, which seals the contact point between the profile
20 and the filling, for example glazing not shown herein, able to be placed in a cavity
80. The seal 50 has a longitudinal leaf 52 having a cross-section in shape of a mushroom,
which is matched with its dimensions and shape to the dimensions and shape of the
longitudinal cavity 150 of the profile 20 of sash frame. In turn, at the confluence
of the seal-mounted wall 123 and the lower wall 25, a longitudinal groove 160 with
protruding edges facing each other is located, in which a seal 60 with a closing rabbet
or rebate 61 forming a part of the sealing of contact area of the two profiles 10
and 20 is placed. The seal 60 has a longitudinal leaf 62 having a cross-section in
shape of a mushroom, which is matched with its dimensions and shape to the dimensions
and shape of the longitudinal cavity 160 of the profile 20 of sash frame. Further,
at the confluence of the under-pane wall 122 and the internal wall 24, there is a
longitudinal cavity 140 partially closed by a bending 145 of the internal wall 24,
in which a catch 43 of the glazing strip 40 with an arcuate surface 42 and with susceptible
tabs 41 which adhere to the filling when it is placed in the cavity 80 is placed.
In the embodiment shown in Fig. 1, the arcuate surface 42 of the glazing strip 40
passes into the flat surface 124 of the internal wall 24 which is positioned vertically
in this embodiment. In other embodiments, the flat surface 124 of the internal wall
24 is inclined from a vertical plane by an angle in the range of - 30° to 30°.
[0029] In another embodiment, not shown in the drawing, the flat surface 124 of the internal
wall 24 passes into the flat surface of the glazing strop which lies in the plane
of the flat surface and which, at the top, passes into a strip oblique wall which
has an upper surface which is a mirror image of the oblique wall 121. Such a configuration
of the glazing strip gives the impression of symmetry of the profile 20 on both sides
of the filling, for example glazing, of the sash frame.
[0030] Figs. 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 show other embodiments of profiles 220, 320, 420 and 520 of
a sash frame, from which embodiments shown in Figs. 2 and 3 do not fail under the
scope of protection. The interior of each one of the profiles 220, 320, 420, 520 is
surrounded by an external wall 221, 321, 421, 521, respectively, with an oblique wall
231, 331, 431, 531 with a recess 250, 350, 450, 550 for sealing, a pane-surrounding
wall 222, 322, 422, 522, a middle wall 223, 323, 423, 523 with a recess 227, 327,
427, 527 for the window fitting, passing into a seal-mounted wall 233, 333, 433, 533,
and a lower wall 225, 325, 425, 525 with a recess 260, 360, 460 and 560 for sealing
and an under-pane wall 232, 332, 432, 532, an internal wall 224, 324, 424, 524 with
an under-strip surface 214, 314, 414, 514. Further, at the confluence of the under-pane
wall 232, 332, 432, 532 and the internal wall 224 324, 424 and 524, there is a longitudinal
cavity 240, 340, 440 and 540 partially closed by a bending 245, 345, 445 and 545 of
the internal wall 224, 324, 424 and 524. The interior of the profile in each one of
these figures is divided into a main chamber 229, 329, 429, 529 with a longitudinal
rib 279, 379, 479, 579, internal additional chambers 228, 328, 428, 528 and external
additional chambers 248, 348, 448, 548 by vertical walls 238 and 258, 338 and 358,
438 and 458, 538 and 558 arranged parallel to a flat external surface 216, 316, 416,
516 of the external wall 221, 321, 421, 521 and to the flat internal surface 214,
314, 414, 514 of the flat internal wall 224, 324, 424, 524, and by horizontal walls
236 and 256, 336 and 356, 436 and 456, 536 and 556 arranged parallel to the under-pane
wall 232, 332, 432, 532.
[0031] The profiles 220, 320 shown in Figs. 2 and 3 have their main chambers 229, 329 extended
at the expense of one of the additional external chambers, compared to the example
of Fig. 1. The main chambers 229, 329 in these embodiments in the lower region of
the internal wall 224, 324, like the main chamber of Fig. 1, have an additional space
239, 339, located below a level of a front surface 217, 317 of the middle wall 223,
323, and surrounded by the seal-mounted wall 233, 333 and by portions of the vertical
walls 238, 338 and the horizontal walls 236, 336 of the lower internal additional
chambers 228, 328. In the embodiments shown in Figs. 2 and 3, in the main chamber
229, 329 a reinforcing section 270, 370 in the shape of the letter "n" is placed,
made for example from sheet metal or composite material, the lower part of the internal
arm of which, formed from a shaped internal wall 274, 374, with an extension 275,
375 contacts the vertical wall 238, 338 and the horizontal wall 236, 336 of the lower
internal additional chambers 228, 328 and is located in an additional space 239, 339
located under a level of a front surface 217, 317 of the middle wall 223, 323. A part
of the reinforcing section 270 of Fig. 2, namely a horizontal wall 278 of the offset
and an oblique wall 277 of the offset, diverges from an upper right corner of the
profile 220, like the oblique wall 374 of the reinforcing section 370 of Fig. 3 diverges
from an upper right corner of the profile 320. In turn, a main wall 271, 371 and an
external wall 272, 372 with a horizontal bending 273, 373 with a wrapping 276, 376
of the reinforcing sections 270, 370 of Figs. 2 and 3 contact the under-pane wall
232, 332 and one of the vertical walls 258, 358 of the external additional chamber
248, 348. By extending an internal arm of the reinforcing section 270, 370 and by
placing a lower part of a longer arm formed from the internal wall 274, 374 with the
extension 275, 375 in the additional space 239, 339 of the main chamber 229, 329,
the moment of inertia is increased, like in the case of the profile 20 of Fig. 1.
[0032] Profiles 420, 520 of embodiments shown in Figs. 4, 5 and 6 have their main chambers
429, 529 similar to the main chamber of Fig. 1, which in a lower region of the internal
wall 424, 524 have an additional space 439, 539, located below a level of a front
surface 417, 517 of the middle wall 423, 523, and surrounded by the seal-mounted wall
433, 533 and by portions of the vertical wall 438, 538 and the horizontal wall 436,
536 of the lower internal additional chambers 428, 528. In the main chamber 429, as
well as in the main chamber 529, a reinforcing section 470, 570 in the shape of the
letter "n" is placed, made for example from sheet metal or composite material, a lower
part of a longer arm of which, formed from an internal wall 474, 574, with an extension
475 with a bending 476 and with an extension 575 with a bending 576 extending on the
entire length of the longer arm contacts portions of the vertical wall 438, 538 and
the horizontal wall 436, 536 of the lower internal additional chambers 428, 528 and
is located in the additional space 439, 539 located under the level of the front surface
417, 517 of the middle wall 423, 523. The remaining part of the reinforcing section
470, 570, namely a horizontal wall 478, 578 of the offset and an oblique wall 477,
577 of the offset, diverges from an upper right corner of the profile 420, 520. A
main wall 471 of the section 470, contacting the under-pane wall 432, is completed
with a multiple bending 472 in the shape of the letter "z" lying contacting one of
the vertical walls 458 of the external additional chamber 448. In turn, a horizontal
wall 571 and an external wall 572 with the bendings 576, 577 of the reinforcing section
570 of Fig. 5 contact the under-pane wall 532 and one of the vertical walls 558 of
the external additional chamber 548. By extending an internal arm of the reinforcing
section 470, 570 and by placing a lower part of the internal arm formed from the internal
wall 474, 574 with the extension 475, 575 in the additional space 439, 539 of the
main chamber, the moment of inertia is increased, like in the case of the profile
20 of Fig. 1.
[0033] In Fig. 7 another example of a set of reinforcing profiles 610, 720 of window casing
frames and sash frames, similar to the example from Fig. 1, is shown in cross-section,
and in Figs. 8, 9, 10, 11, cross-sections of other examples of profiles 820, 920,
1020, 1120 of sash frame are shown, from which embodiments shown in Figs. 7, 8, 9
and 10 do not fail under the scope of protection. The profile 610 of the window casing
frame, which can be defined by convention as a first profile of the set presented,
is matched with its shape and dimensions to the profile 720 of the sash frame, which
can be defined by convention as a second profile and which contacts the profile 610
of window casing indirectly by seals, in particular by a seal 630 placed in a longitudinal
groove 635 and a seal 760 placed in a groove 765. The profile 610 of the window casing
frame has a reinforced external wall 611 which is completed with a rounded wall 615
and which is, for example, reinforced partially with an additional wall 636, a middle
wall 612 connected to the additional wall 636 and an internal wall 614 with a closing
rabbet surface 637, which, together with a wall-mounted wall 613 with anchors 617,
surround the interior of the profile 610. The interior of the profile 610 with a longitudinal
axis 625 is divided into chambers, for example into a main chamber 619 and additional
chambers 616, by vertical walls 648 located parallel to an external surface of the
external wall 611, and by horizontal walls 618 located parallel to the wall-mounted
wall 613. In the main chamber 619, a reinforcing section 605, made from, for example,
sheet metal or composite material, is placed. The main part of the profile 610 without
a top part 639 of the external wall 611 and the additional wall 636 placed above the
middle wall 612, has the shape of a figure inscribable in a polygon, in particular
in a rectangle. At the confluence of the oblique wall 615 and the additional wall
636, the above-mentioned longitudinal groove 635 with protruding edges facing each
other is located, in which a seal 630 with a closing rabbet 631 forming a part of
the sealing of contact area of the two profiles 610 and 720 is placed. The seal 630
has a longitudinal leaf 632 having a cross-section in shape of a mushroom, which is
matched with its dimensions and shape to the dimensions and shape of the longitudinal
groove 635 of the profile 610 of window casing.
[0034] In turn, the profile 720 of sash frame surrounding the filling, for example glazing,
of the sash frame has an external wall 721 with an oblique wall 732, a pane-surrounding
wall 729, a middle wall 728 with a recess 727 for window fitting, passing into a seal-mounted
wall 746, an under-pane wall 723, an internal wall 724 with an under-strip surface
744, and a lower wall 725 which surround the interior of the profile 720. The interior
of the profile 720 with a longitudinal axis 735 is divided into chambers, for example
into a main chamber 736 with a longitudinal rib 779, internal additional chambers
726 and external additional chambers 764, by vertical walls 768 located parallel to
an external surface of the external wall 721, by vertical walls 748 located parallel
to the external surface of the internal wall 724 and by horizontal walls 749 located
parallel to the under-pane wall 723. The main chamber 736, in this embodiment, in
a lower region of the internal wall has an additional space 737 located below a level
of a front surface 739 of the middle wall 728, and surrounded by the seal-mounted
wall 746 and by a vertical wall 748 and by a horizontal wall 749 of lower internal
additional chambers 726. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 7, in the main chamber 736,
a reinforcing section 770 in the shape of the letter "n" is placed, made for example
from sheet metal or composite material, a lower part of a longer arm of which, formed
from an internal wall 774, with an extension 775 and with an internal bending 776
contacts the vertical wall 748 and the horizontal wall 749 of the lower internal additional
chambers 726 and is located in the additional space 737, located under the level of
the front surface 739 of the middle wall 728. The remaining part of the reinforcing
section 770, namely a horizontal wall 778 of the offset, an oblique wall 777 of the
offset, a main wall 771 and an external wall 772 with an internal bending 773, contacts
an under-pane wall 723 and one of the vertical walls 768 of the external additional
chamber 764. By extending an internal arm of the reinforcing section 770 and by placing
the lower part of the internal arm formed from the internal wall 774 with the extension
775 and with the internal bending 776 in the additional space 737 of the main chamber,
the moment of inertia is increased.
[0035] At the confluence of the oblique wall 732 and the pane-surrounding wall 729, a longitudinal
groove 755 with protruding edges facing each other is located, in which a seal 750
with a closing rabbet 751 is placed, which seals the contact point between the profile
720 and the filling, for example glazing not shown herein, able to be placed in a
cavity 780. The seal 750 has a longitudinal leaf 752 having a cross-section in shape
of a mushroom, which is matched with its dimensions and shape to the dimensions and
shape of the longitudinal groove of the profile 720 of sash frame. Width e of the
groove 780 is greater than the thickness of the filling having the thickness of the
flattened seal 750 and flattened tabs 741. In turn, at the confluence of the seal-mounted
wall 746 and the lower wall 725, a longitudinal groove 765 with protruding edges facing
each other is located, in which a seal 760 with a closing rabbet 761 forming a part
of the sealing of contact area of the two profiles 610 and 720 is placed. The seal
760 has a longitudinal leaf 762 having a cross-section in shape of a mushroom, which
is matched with its dimensions and shape to the dimensions and shape of the longitudinal
groove 765 of the profile 720 of the sash frame. Further, at the confluence of the
under-pane wall 723 and the internal wall 724, there is a longitudinal cavity 745
partially closed by a bending of the internal wall 724, in which a catch 743 of a
glazing strip 740 with an arcuate surface 742 and with susceptible tabs 741, which
adhere to the filling when it is placed in the cavity 780, is placed. In the embodiment
shown in Fig. 7, the arcuate surface 742 of the glazing strip 740 passes smoothly
into an arcuate surface 744 of the internal wall 724.
[0036] Matching the two profiles to each other with their shape and dimensions consists
in that, in the configuration of profiles shown in Fig. 7, an inter-profile space
790 is formed, which is limited at the bottom by the middle wall 612 and at the top
by the middle wall 728 with the seal-mounted wall 746, and on the sides is limited
by the top part 615 of the reinforced external wall 611 placed above the middle wall
612 of the profile 610 of the window casing frame, and by the diverging-downwards
seal-mounted wall 746 of the profile 720, reaching up the internal wall 614 of the
profile 610. In turn, dimensional matching consists in that a distance a between the
surface 637 of protruding edges of the longitudinal groove 635 and the external surface
638 of the internal wall 614 increased by thickness d of the flattened sealing 760
mounted partially in the groove 765 is equal to a distance b between the surfaces
of protruding edges of the longitudinal groove 665 and the external surface 733 of
the external wall 721, increased by thickness c of the flattened sealing 630 mounted
partially in the groove 635. With such a matching of the two profiles to each other,
the profile 720 of the sash frame is offset after being mounted in the window opening
towards the interior of the room in relation to the profile 610 of the window casing
frame, and the external surfaces of the two profiles are parallel to each other.
[0037] Figs. 8, 9, 10, 11 show other embodiments of reinforced profiles 820, 920, 1020 and
1120 of the sash frame, from which embodiments shown in Figs. 8 and 9 and 10 do not
fall under the scope of protection as mentioned above. Each of the embodiment shown
in Figs. 8, 9, 10 and 11 has an external wall 821, 921, 1021 and 1121, respectively,
with an oblique wall 832, 932, 1032, 1132 with a recess 850, 950, 1050, 1150 for sealing,
a pane-surrounding wall 829, 929, 1029, 1129, a middle wall 828, 928, 1028, 1128 with
a recess 827, 927, 1027 and 1127 for a window fitting, passing into a seal-mounted
wall 835, 935, 1035 and 1135, and a lower wall 825, 925, 1025 and 1125 with a recess
860, 960, 1060 and 1160 for sealing and an under-pane wall 823, 923, 1023 and 1123,
an internal wall 824, 924, 1024, 1124 with an under-strip surface 844, 944, 1044 and
1144 which surround the interior of the profile 820, 920, 1020 and 1120. Further,
at the confluence of the under-pane wall 823, 923, 1023, 1123 and the internal wall
824, 924, 1024 and 1124, there is a longitudinal cavity 845, 945, 1045 and 1145. The
interior of each one of the profiles 820, 920, 1020, 1120 is divided into a main chamber
836, 936, 1036, 1136, internal additional chambers 826, 926, 1026, 1126 and external
additional chambers 848, 948, 1048, 1148 by vertical walls 858, 98, 1058, 1158 arranged
parallel to an external surface 833, 933, 1033, 1133 of the external wall 821, 921,
1021, 1121 and by horizontal walls 818 and 856, 918 and 956, 1018 and 1056, 1118 and
1156 arranged parallel to the under-pane wall 823, 923, 1023, 1123.
[0038] The profiles 820, 920 shown in Figs. 8 and 9 have their main chambers 836, 936 extended
at the expense of one of the external additional chambers, compared to Fig. 7. The
main chambers 836, 936 in these embodiments in a lower region of the internal wall
824, 924, like the main chamber of Fig. 7, have an additional space 837, 937 located
below a level of a front surface 839, 939 of the middle wall 828, 928 and surrounded
by the seal-mounted wall 835, 935 and by a vertical wall 816, 916 and by a horizontal
wall 818, 918 of lower internal additional chambers 838, 938. In the embodiments shown
in Figs. 8 and 9, in the main chamber 836, 936 a reinforcing section 870, 970 in the
shape of the letter "n", made from, for example, sheet metal or composite material,
is placed. A lower part of an internal arm formed from an internal wall 874 with an
extension 875 contacts the vertical wall 816 and the horizontal wall 818 of the lower
internal additional chambers 826 and is located in the additional space 837, located
under the level of the front surface 839 of the middle wall 828. The remaining part
of the reinforcing section 870, namely a horizontal wall 878 of the offset, an oblique
wall 877 of the offset, a main wall 871 and an external wall 872 with a horizontal
bending 873 and a wrapping 876, contacts the under-pane wall 823 and one of the vertical
walls 858 of the external additional chamber 848. In turn, a part of the reinforcing
section 970, namely a main wall 971, an external wall 972 with a horizontal bending
973 and a wrapping 976, contacts the under-pane wall 923 and one of vertical walls
958 of the external additional chamber 948. On the right side from the side of the
room, the main wall 971 passes into an oblique internal wall 974 contacting the oblique
wall 932 of one of internal additional chambers. The oblique internal wall 974 is
completed with an extension 975 located in the additional space 937 located below
the level of the front surface 939 of the middle wall 928. By extending a longer arm
of the reinforcing section 870, 970 and by placing a lower part of the longer arm
formed from the internal wall 874, 974 with the extension 875, 975 in the additional
space 837, 937 of the main chamber, the moment of inertia of the profiles is increased,
like in the case of the profile 720 of Fig. 7.
[0039] Profiles 1020, 1120 in the embodiments shown in Figs. 10, 11 have their main chambers
1036, 1136 similar to the main chamber of Fig. 7, and in a lower region of an internal
wall 1024, 1124 have an additional space 1037, 1137, located below a level of a front
surface 1039, 1139 of a middle wall 1028, 1128, and surrounded by a seal-mounted wall
1035, 1135 and by a vertical wall 1016, 1116, and by a horizontal wall 1018, 1118
of lower internal additional chambers 1038, 1138. In the main chamber 1036, as well
as in the main chamber 1136, a reinforcing section 1070, 1170 in the shape of the
letter "n" is placed, made for example from sheet metal or composite material, a lower
part of a longer arm of which, formed from an internal wall 1074, 1174, with an extension
1075 and a bending 1076 and with an extension 1175 with a bending 1176 extending on
the entire length of a longer arm contacts the vertical wall 1016, 1116 and the horizontal
wall 1018, 1118 of the lower internal additional chambers 1038, 1138 and is located
in the additional space 1037, 1137 located under the level of the front surface 1039,
1139 of the middle wall 1028, 1128. The remaining part of the reinforcing section
1070, 1170, namely a horizontal wall 1078, 1178 of the offset, an oblique wall 1077,
1177 of the offset, a main wall 1071 completed with a multiple bending 1072 in the
shape of the letter "z" lying, contacts the under-pane wall 1023 and one of the vertical
walls 1058, and a main wall 1171 and an external wall 1172 with a bending 1173 contacts
the under-pane wall 1123 and one of the vertical walls 1158 with a horizontal rib
1179 of the external additional chamber 1148. Dimensions of the profiles of the sash
frame are as defined for the profile 20. By extending the longer arm of the reinforcing
section 1070, 1170 and by placing a lower part of a longer arm formed from the internal
wall 1074, 1174 with the extension 1075, 1175 in the additional space 1037, 1137 of
the main chamber, the moment of inertia is increased, like in the case of the profile
720 of Fig. 7.
