Object of the Invention
[0001] The object of the present specification is a part which favors the upholstering of
lift-up bedsteads, allows upholstering the outer beams of the lift-up bedstead forming
same, and in turn preventing the upholstery between said beams from sagging at the
end.
Background of the Invention
[0002] Today, lift-up bedsteads are made as bases for mattresses and comprise a compartment,
generally accessible from the upper portion, and a cover that conceals the compartment
and can be lifted/lowered with respect to one of its sides, allowing access to the
inside of the compartment.
[0003] These lift-up bedsteads have the drawback of being made with elements the condition
of which may worsen over time due to deteriorations, frictions, impacts, etc. Furthermore,
they may also become outdated in terms of esthetics.
[0004] One of the main problems in the use of furniture of this type lies, up until now,
in the parts used for forming same, which are usually materials with little firmness,
such as cardboard or the like, that end up sagging and breaking over time, causing
the deterioration of the upholstery, and therefore the lift-up bedstead.
Description of the Invention
[0005] The technical problem solved by the present invention is the attainment of a part
which allows helping in the upholstering of different parts forming the lift-up bedstead,
specifically its outer beams, giving firmness to said upholstery. To that end, the
part for upholstering a lift-up bedstead object of the present utility model is characterized
in that it comprises a rectangular body having two flaps on the sides, which allow
same to be attached between the outer beams of the lift-up bedstead, and having a
plurality of square through-holes along the part.
[0006] As a result of its design, the part herein described will facilitate the firmness
of the upholstery of the outer beams of the lift-up bedstead along its length, where
a strong, correct, and easy upholstery can be achieved with the placement of said
part along the mentioned beams.
[0007] Throughout the description and the claims, the word "comprises" and variants thereof
do not seek to exclude other technical features, additions, components, or steps.
For those skilled in the art, other objects, advantages, and features of the invention
will be inferred in part from the description and in part from the practice of the
invention. The following examples and drawings are provided by way of illustration
and not meant to limit the present invention. Furthermore, the present invention covers
all possible combinations of particular and preferred embodiments herein indicated.
Brief Description of the Figures
[0008] A series of drawings which help to better understand the invention and are expressly
related to an embodiment of said invention presented as a non-limiting example thereof
is described very briefly below.
Figure 1 shows a perspective view of the part for upholstering a lift-up bedstead,
object of the present utility model.
Figure 2 shows a side view of the part for upholstering a lift-up bedstead, object
of the present utility model.
Figure 3 shows a plan view of the part for upholstering a lift-up bedstead, object
of the present utility model.
Preferred Embodiment of the Invention
[0009] The attached figures show a preferred embodiment of the invention. More specifically,
the part to facilitate the upholstering of lift-up bedsteads, object of the present
utility model, is characterized in that it comprises a rectangular body (1) incorporating
two flaps (2) on the sides which allow same to be attached between the outer beams
of the lift-up bedstead, and wherein the body (1) has a plurality of square through-holes
(3) along the part, which act as cavities for giving firmness and stiffness to the
body (1), and therefore to the outer upholstery of the lift-up bedstead, achieving
the desired effects.
[0010] In a preferred embodiment, once the part is placed between the outer beams, its flaps
(2) are attached to said outer beams of the lift-up bedstead by screwing or by another
equivalent holding means, which allows providing stiffness to the outer upholstery.
[0011] In a preferred claim, the body (1) is made of plastic or another material with equivalent
mechanical characteristics.
1. A part for upholstering a lift-up bedstead which is characterized in that it comprises a rectangular body (1) having two flaps (2) on the sides which allow
same to be attached between the outer beams of the lift-up bedstead, and wherein said
body (1) has a plurality of square through-holes (3) along the part, which act as
cavities for giving firmness and stiffness to the body (1), and therefore to the outer
upholstery of the lift-up bedstead.
2. The part for upholstering a lift-up bedstead according to claim 1, wherein the flaps
(2) are attached to the outer beams of the lift-up bedstead by screwing or by another
equivalent holding means.
3. The part for upholstering a lift-up bedstead according to claims 1 to 2, wherein the
body (1) is made of plastic or another material with equivalent mechanical characteristics.
