SUBJECT-MATTER OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The invention, as expressed in the statement of this descriptive report, refers to
a personal electronic warning kit, which provides structural and constitutive features,
described in detail below, which represent an improvement of the current state of
the art within its field of application.
[0002] More specifically, the subject-matter of the invention focuses on a set of electronic
devices making up a system that can be marketed as a kit comprising several satellite
devices, suitable for incorporation into an object or on a person whose location is
to be controlled, and a control device, consisting of a control device, and optionally
also a specific app installed in a mobile phone, to which the satellite device is
linked by bluetooth so that, when separated from it at a predetermined distance, both
the control device and the satellite emit an audible warning that alerts the user
of that circumstance, avoiding the possible loss of the object or person, for example
small children, optionally allowing the whereabouts of their location via GPS regardless
of the distance. In addition, the electronic kit also includes a charging platform
to charge the satellite devices and, where appropriate, the control device.
SCOPE OF THE INVENTION
[0003] The field of application of the present invention is framed within the sector of
the industry dedicated to the manufacture of electronic devices, focusing particularly
on the field of those aimed at the control of objects and people.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0004] As a reference to the current state of the art, it is worth mentioning that, although
there are some models of electronic devices in the market with purposes similar to
the one proposed herein, at least on the part of the applicant there is no knowledge
of the existence of any that present the technical, structural and constitutive characteristics
equal to or similar to those presented by the device claimed herein and whose essential
objective is to provide an alternative solution to what is already known, more versatile
and simple to manufacture and use.
EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION
[0005] The personal electronic warning kit that the present invention proposes allows the
satisfactory achievement of the objectives previously indicated, with the characteristic
details that distinguish it being conveniently gathered in the final claims that accompany
the present description.
[0006] Specifically, what the invention proposes, as mentioned above, is a set of electronic
devices that make up a system that can be marketed in the form of a kit that, applicable
to prevent the loss of objects and/or people through the control of their location,
includes at least one satellite device, suitable for incorporation into an object
or on a person whose location is to be controlled, and a control device to which the
satellite device is linked via Bluetooth so that, when separated from it at a predetermined
distance of 3 or 10 meters, both elements emit an audible alarm warning that alerts
the user.
[0007] The satellite device is a small personal electronic device, approximately the size
of a €2 coin, about three centimeters, whose purpose is to be incorporated into some
object to prevent its loss or be carried by a person, for example a young child, to
prevent them from being separated from the person watching over them.
[0008] Preferably, the kit includes up to four satellite devices that can be linked to the
control device and can be of three different types:
- with a battery, one year duration,
- with a rechargeable battery through USB port, when connected to a platform described
below,
- with a round micro-battery, less than one centimeter in size and having a six-month
duration, suitable for incorporation into a wristwatch or similar.
[0009] All satellites are linked to the remote or control device and have a buzzer that
emits sound when separated more than the three or ten meters established therefrom.
[0010] The function of the control device is also to emit a warning when the object or person
carrying the satellite device moves beyond the set distance, because when this occurs,
the electronics that the control device includes are programmed to activate a buzzer
or beep that alerts the user carrying the device. Preferably, as mentioned above,
this distance is set at three meters, although optionally a variant is envisaged in
which the distance is set at ten meters.
[0011] To do this, the control device is composed of a control, similar to a remote control,
which carries a battery and has an electronic circuit that includes a micro processor
NXP bluetooth, in addition to low-power components such as a buzzer and LEDs, apt
for linking via bluetooth with up to four different satellite devices, whose handling
is very simple, being the ideal solution for any user, but especially for people who
do not wish to or cannot or do not master the handling of new technologies, for example
elderly people,
[0012] Optionally, the satellite control can also be done through a mobile phone terminal
such as a smartphone, electronic tablet or other in which a specific software app
is installed, apt for Android system or IOS, in this case the app can be programmed
to control up to 2 controlling devices with their satellites adhered and then detached
satellites up to a certain maximum.
[0013] As has been pointed out in the preferred embodiment, the control that constitutes
the control device includes its bluetooth which allows locating of the satellites
that, in turn, are equipped with micro GPS to locate them wherever they are, regardless
of whether the distance link via bluetooth has been exceeded or not.
[0014] In addition, in one embodiment, the kit also includes a central base or charging
platform that, consisting of a casing with a plug connection to the network and which
incorporates a power supply and several USB connectors, preferably four, allows, through
the corresponding USB cable, the connection of the satellite devices, in which case
will have a rechargeable USB battery.

PREFERENTIAL EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
[0016] In view of these figures, and in accordance with the numbering adopted, an example
of the nonlimiting implementation of the recommended personal electronic warning kit
can be seen, which includes what is indicated and described in detail below.
[0017] Thus, as shown in Figure 2, the electronic kit (1) in question essentially comprises
several satellite devices (2), fitted with a means of attachment (3, 4), to incorporate
it into an object or on a person whose location you wish to control, and at least
one control device (5) to which the satellite devices (2) are linked via Bluetooth
so that, when separated at a set distance, the control device (5) and said satellite
device (2) emit an audible warning of such separation.
[0018] In a preferred variant, the distance programmed to emit the warning is 3 meters and
in an alternative variant the distance is 10 meters.
[0019] In any case, the control device is a control (5) receiver which, powered by a battery
(6), is equipped with buttons (7) connected to an electronic circuit that includes
a micro processor NXP or similar with bluetooth (8), a buzzer (9) to emit the audible
signal and several color LEDs (10) to manage its bluetooth connection with up to four
different satellite devices (2).
[0020] Optionally, the control of the satellite devices (2) can also be carried out through
a specific software app implemented on a mobile phone terminal (11) such as a smartphone,
electronic tablet or other. Optionally, the app can be programmed to control up to
two control devices (5) with their associated satellite devices (2) and other independent
satellite devices (2).
[0021] Looking at figures 1 and 2, it can be seen how, preferably, each satellite device
(2) includes a small casing (20), approximately three cm in size, whose shape and
colour may vary. For example, said casing can be rectangular with a red, green, yellow
or blue base, and a black or white upper part, for example, to distinguish two versions,
one with a shorter range, 3 metres, and one with a longer range, 10 metres.
[0022] In any case, this satellite device (2) is a transmitter that also has a power supply
battery (6), and a circuit with a buzzer (9) as well as means of attachment (3, 4),
preferably with a heavy-duty adhesive band (3), type 3M®, for its attachment to the
surface of an object, and / or with a ring (4) for a person to carry it hanging on
a clothes loop, a necklace, key ring, bracelet or other element.
[0023] Optionally, at least one, several or all satellite devices (2) incorporate a micro
GPS (12) that allows them to be located anywhere, regardless of whether they have
exceeded the linking distance via bluetooth with the control device (5).
[0024] Optionally, the kit (1) also includes a charging platform (13) made up of a casing
(130) with a plug (14) to connect to the network and which incorporates an internal
power supply (15) and several USB connectors (15), one for each satellite device (2),
allowing the connection of one or more satellite devices (2) in which case their battery
(6) is a rechargeable USB battery.
[0025] Figure 4 shows a preferred, but not limiting, embodiment of the kit where said charging
platform (13) is apt for the four satellites (2) that the control device (5) controls
and where these, additionally, have a casing (20) whose shape is designed to fit into
the connectors (15) of the casing (130) of the charging platform (13) to form a compact
unit once coupled. In addition, preferably, the charging platform (13), is also connected
to the network via USB cable instead of via the plug (14).
[0026] Preferably, the command (5) incorporates a battery (6) type 12V L1028F, housed in
an accessible compartment for replacement when depleted, in any case with a duration
of at least one year. And the satellite devices (2), depending on their size and use,
are of different types and have different battery types: either with the same type
of battery (6) 12V L1028F, with the battery (6) being rechargeable via USB to connect
to the charging platform (13), or with a micro battery (6) allowing them to be even
smaller to be incorporated, for example, in a wristwatch. Optionally, the kit includes
satellite devices (2) with different battery types (6). In addition, the same kit
can include different types of satellite devices (2) with different battery types
(6).
[0027] Preferably, the control (5) also has a ring (4) to hang it on a clothes loop, a necklace,
key ring, bracelet or other element.
[0028] To program the control (5) as a control device for satellite devices (2) via Bluetooth,
for which they must be together, one of the buttons (7) with which one wishes to link
a particular satellite device (2), must be pressed. Once the device (2) and the control
(5) are joined, one of these buttons (7) must be pressed and held for 5 seconds, until
the LED (10) lights up with an orange light and a small beep sounds confirming that
the device (2) is linked to that button (7). To unlink the device, the same process
must be followed.
[0029] And to program the control with the mobile phone (11) through the app, which is apt
for both IOS and Android systems, the following steps must be carried out:
Access a first screen: Login or create a session. To create a session, a contact email
address, password and user name are required.
[0030] Login: with username or email + password.
[0031] Access a second screen: Program devices (satellite or controls) and list of devices
that are already linked. From the list the device can be activated or deactivated.
The programming of the device can also be deleted.
[0032] If a control is programmed with the app and the control already has linked devices,
a list of those devices will appear by clicking.
[0033] One of the devices on the list can be entered differentiating, for example, by different
screen colors.
[0034] Access to a third screen: Once inside the selected device, one can:
- Edit the name
- Activate or deactivate
- Put a photo related to the device
- Edit alarm audio
- Access Google Maps to locate the device if one has GPS.
[0035] The app management service will be provided by a server and will preferably be paid
annually by credit or debit card, depending on the satellites adhered.
[0036] The app will issue alert notifications if it moves away from the object or person
carrying each satellite device to which it has been linked.
[0037] Having sufficiently described the nature of the present invention, as well as the
manner of putting it into practice, it is not considered necessary to extend its explanation
in order for any person skilled in the art to understand its scope and the advantages
derived from it.
