Abstract (en)
Bituminous coatings of any colour are prepared continuously in a drying/coating drum (1), the colouring substance being introduced, if powdery, in suspension in a gas, in the mixing zone (15,16) for the aggregates and the binder, at a point (31) downstream of the inlet (26) of the binder and situated at a distance from the outlet (5) of this zone which is between 25 and 75% of the length of the said zone. The mixing zone (15,16) is separated from the direct action of the flame (4) of the burner (3) at the entrance of the drum (1) by a screen (20) of aggregates introduced by lifting devices (11), which screen also contributes to lowering the temperature of the gases. At least part of the bitumen and the aggregates can be introduced into the drum (1) in the form of recycled coatings. <IMAGE>

Des enrobés bitumineux de couleur quelconque sont préparés en continu dans un tambour sécheur-enrobeur (1) la matière colorante étant introduite, en suspension dans un gaz si pulvérulente, dans la zone de malaxage (15,16) des agrégats et du liant, en un point (31) en aval de l'admission (26) du liant et situé à une distance de la sortie (5) de cette zone comprise entre 25 et 75% de la longueur de ladite zone. La zone de malaxage (15,16) est isolée de l'action directe de la flamme (4) du brûleur (3) à l'entrée du tambour (1) par un écran (20) d'agrégats déversés par des dispositifs releveurs (11), écran qui aussi contribue à abaisser la température des gaz. Une partie au moins du bitume et des agrégats peut être introduite dans le tambour (1) sous forme d'enrobés recyclés.
