Bei einer Vibrationsgleitschleifmaschine (1) ist zum Trennen der behandelten Teile vom Behandlungsmittel eine Separiereinrichtung vorgesehen, die eine im Arbeitsbehälter (2) angeordnete bewegliche Auflauframpe (3) und eine oberhalb des Behälterinhaltes angeordnete Siebstrecke aufweist. Die bewegliche Auflauframpe (3) befindet sich in «Ruhestellung» unterhalb des umlaufenden Behälterinhalts und bildet in «Arbeitsstellung» eine über die freie Oberfläche des Behälterinhalts herausragende freie Überlaufkante (4), die sich im wesentlichen quer zur Strömungsrichtung des Behälterinhalts erstreckt. Die Siebstrecke weist ein bewegliches Sieb (15) auf) das mit seiner Vorderkante (16) bis an die in «Arbeitsstellung» freistehende Überlaufkante (4) der Auflauframpe (3) heranführbar ist. Durch die besondere Ausbildung der Separiereinrichtung wird ein Einklemmen von Werkstücken oder Bearbeitungsmittel zwischen der Überlaufkante (4) und der Sieb-Vorderkante (16) während der «Austragsphase» vermieden.
