In a needle support (1) of this type, the needles (6) fastened to a supporting strip (5) at a mutual distance from one another to form a needle bar are guided through bores (3) of the needle support (1) and are thereby fixed to the needle support (1) by a press fit. So as not to impair the strength of the press fit during a repeated reneedling of the needle support (1) as a result of a widening of the bores (3), and moreover to avoid having to adhere to narrow tolerances in the production of the bores (3), an axis-parallel recess (2) of greater width than the bores (3) is provided at the inner end of the bores (3) and the diameter of the bores (3) in the radial plane is somewhat larger than the diameter of the needle shanks (18). The needles (6) bear alternately on opposite sides of the needles (6) against a bearing point (7) in the recess (2) and against bearing points (8 and 9) at the inner and outer ends of the bores (3) under stress, thereby ensuring a very firm press fit as a result of the high elastic forces of the needles (6). <IMAGE>

Bei einem derartigen Nadelträger (1) sind die zur Bildung eines Nadelstreifens auf einer Tragleiste (5) in wechselseitigem Abstand voneinander befestigten Nadeln (6) durch Bohrrungen (3) des Nadelträgers (1) hindurchgeführt und hierdurch im Preßsitz am Nadelträger (1) festgelegt. Damit die Festigkeit des Preßsitzes bei einer wiederholten Wiederbenadelung des Nadelträgers (1) infolge Aufweitung der Bohrungen (3) nicht beeinträchtigt wird und außerdem keine engen Toleranzen bei der Herstellung der Bohrungen (3) eingehalten werden müssen, ist am Innenende der Bohrungen (3) eine achsparallele Ausnehmung (2) von größerer Weite als die Bohrungen (3) vorgesehen und der Durchmesser der Bohrungen (3) in der Radialebene etwas größer als der Durchmesser der Nadelschäfte (18). Dabei liegen die Nadeln (6) abwechselnd an gegenüberliegenden Seiten der Nadeln (6) an einer Anlagestelle (7) in der Ausnehmung (2) sowie an Anlagestellen (8 u. 9) am inneren bzw. äußeren Ende der Bohrungen (3) unter Verspannung an, so daß hierdurch infolge der hohen elastischen Kräfte der Nadeln (6) ein sehr fester Preßsitz erzielt wird.
