The individual built-together lifting units (6a, 6b, 6c) each have a raisable and lowerable platform (7). Each platform (7) is connected to its own lifting mechanism, which has a drive unit (10a, 10b, 10c) which is arranged above the associated platform (7) and attached to a horizontal carrier (11a, 11b, 11c). To the side of the platforms (7), which are freely accessible from mutually opposing sides, vertical supports (12a, 12b, 12c, 12d) are arranged on which the horizontal carriers (11a, 11b, 11c) are supported. Running in these supports (12a, 12b, 12c, 12d) are threaded spindles (15) which are in engagement with nuts (16) mounted on the platforms (7). In the single support (12b, 12c, 12d) arranged between adjacent platforms (7), two threaded spindles (15) are accommodated one behind the other, of which in each case one is associated with one of the two adjacent platforms (7). Die einzelnen aneinandergebauten Hebeeinheiten (6a, 6b, 6c) weisen je eine heb- und senkbare Plattform (7) auf. Jede Plattform (7) ist mit einem eigenen Hubmechanismus verbunden, der eine über der zugeordneten Plattform (7) angeordnete, auf einem Horizontalträger (11a, 11b, 11c) befestigte Antriebseinheit (10a, 10b, 10c) aufweist. Seitlich der an sich gegenüberliegenden Seiten frei zugänglichen Plattformen (7) sind vertikale Stützen (12a, 12b, 12c, 12d) angeordnet, auf denen die Horizontalträger (11a, 11b, 11c) abgestützt sind. In diesen Stützen (12a, 12b, 12c, 12d) verlaufen Gewindespindeln (15), welche mit an den Plattformen (7) angebrachten Muttern (16) in Eingriff stehen. In der einzigen zwischen benachbarten Plattformen (7) angeordneten Stütze (12b, 12c, 12d) sind hintereinander zwei Gewindespindeln (15) untergebracht, von denen je eine einer der beiden benachbarten Plattformen (7) zugeordnet ist. An ihrem obern Ende sind die Gewindespindeln (15) mit Kettenrädern (17) verbunden, die über eine Kette (18) von der zugeordneten Antriebseinheit (10a, 10b, 10c) angetrieben wird. Durch die Anordnung der Antriebseinheit (10a, 10b, 10c) über der Plattform (7) und das Unterbringen der Gewindespindeln (15) in den die Horizontalträger (11a, 11b, 11c) tragenden Stützen (12a, 12b, 12c, 12d) wird eine in der Breite kompakte Bauweise erhalten.
