Die Erfindung betrifft eine Signalvorrichtung zur Signalisierung von in falscher Richtung fahrenden Strassenfahrzeugen, insbesondere von Geisterfahrer gesteuerten Fahrzeugen, mit einer Sender-Empfänger-Vorrichtung bestehend aus einem fahrzeugseitigen Teil, welches einen Detektor und eine daran anschliessbare akustische und/oder optische Warneinrichtung für den Fahrzeuglenker aufweist und aus einem strassenseitigen Teil, von welchem die von dem Detektor erfassbaren Signalinformationen innerhalb einer begrenzten Reichweite auf das Fahrzeug gebbar sind, die besonders dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass von dem am Strassenrand angeordneten strassenseitigen Teil (28) eine drahtlose Signalinformation abgebbar ist und dass diese Signalinformation von dem im fahrzeugseitigen Teil (34) vorgesehenen Detektor erfassbar ist, welcher auf der dem strassenseitigen Teil (28) zugewandten Fahrzeugseite angeordnet ist und dass das von dem Detektor erzeugte und der Warneinrichtung zurührbare Signal einei Selbsthaltekreis betätigt, an welchen von den auf andere Verkehrsteilnehmer gerichteten Fahrzeugsignaleinrichtungen mindestens eine angeschlossen ist.
