[origin: US4461060A] Yarn remnants are automatically removed from a bobbin or the like by disposing the bobbin along a longitudinal axis substantially coinciding with its central axis and locating a cutter and at least two strippers about the longitudinal axis. The bobbin is then moved along the axis relative to the cutter and strippers while simultaneously moving the cutter and strippers radially toward the axis. The radial movement of said cutter and strippers is controlled in response to the axial movement of said bobbin through a template having a contour conforming to the shape of said bobbin, so that on the inward movement of the cutter and strippers in cooperation with the axial movement of said bobbin, the yarn is cut and removed.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zum Entfernen von auf Wickelkörpern befindlichen Garnresten und auf eine im wesentlichen eine Aufspann- und Transportvorrichtung (3o) sowie eine Schneid- und Abstreifvorrichtung (7o) umfassende Einrichtung (2oo) zur Durchführung des Verfahrens. Beim Transport des eingespannten Wickelkörpers in Pfeilrichtung (4) wird eine der Wickelkörperkontur entsprechend ausgebildete und mit eine Abtast- und Betätigungsvorrichtung (85) wirkverbundene Schablone (5o) mitgeführt und abgetastet und in Folge davon die Schneid- und Abstreifvorrichtung (7o) betätigt. Die Vorrichtung (7o) umfasst einen Tragring (8o) sowie zwei seitlich daran gelagerte und mit der Vorrichtung (85) wirkverbundene Steuerscheiben (75,75'), welche am Umfang verteilt angeordnete, kurvenförmig ausgebildete Ausnehmungen aufweisen, in welchen eine Halterung (73) für ein rotierend angetriebenes Schneidelement (71) sowie mindestens zwei Abstreiforgane (65) gelagert sind. Das Schneidelement (71) und die Abstreiforgane (65) werden durch die Schwenkbewegung der Steuerscheiben (75,75') um die Vorrichtungsachse (Y) sowie durch die zwangsläufige Führung an den beiden Steuerscheiben dem Wickelkörper radial, geradlinig zugeführt.
