1. A method of applying liquid foamed or pasty media to webs of loop pile or the like, the medium which it is required to apply being applied by means of at least one rotating stencil or the like to the web passing through below the stencil, the speed of rotation thereof and the speed of the web differing from one another, characterized in that the speed of rotation of the stencil is from 0.3 to 6 % greater or from 0.3 to 6 % less than the speed of the moving web and, in the event of the pile being at an inclination opposite to the direction of web movement, the lower stencil speed value is set up whereas in the event of the pile being disposed at an inclination in the direction of web movement the higher stencil speed value is set up.

Mit der Vorrichtung soll eine Anpassung der Oberflächengeschwindigkeiten von Schablone, Siebzylinder od.dgl. und einer Warenbahn erzielt werden, um die Schwierigkeiten, insbesondere beim Bedrucken oder beim Auftrag einer beliebigen anderen Chemikalie auf Polware, Textilveloure, Teppiche, Samte u.dgl. zu beheben, die sich durch die Verlagerung der Fasern, Schlingen und sonstigen Konstruktionen bzw. des Flores ergeben. Da insbesondere beim Teppichdruck das im Inneren des Schablone vorhandene Auftragselement einen bestimmten Druch auf den Flor oder den Pol ausübt, verlagert sich derselbe pro Tuftreihe oder Webreihe um einen bestimmten Betrag, der als "Differenzweg" bezeichnet wird. Dieser Betrag summiert sich bei Abwicklung der Schablone um eine Umdrehung um die Anzahl der einzelnen Polreihen, Tuftreihen oder Florreihen, so daß sich dann ein Gesamtdifferenzweg pro Schablonenabwicklung ergibt. Je nach Richtung der Florverlegung ergibt sich dann an der Oberfläche eine addierende oder substrahierende Wegstrecke, die aufgefangen werden soll dadurch, daß die rotierende Schablone so angetrieben wird, daß sie von 0,3 % bis 6 % plus- oder minus / Eigenumdrehung an ihrer Geschwindigkeit zur Oberflächengeschwindigkeit der unter ihr transportieren Ware abweicht und entsprechend eingestellt ist.
