A device for applying a thin layer of a liquid coating material to a sheet (1) consists of an application roller (4) which rolls over the sheet surface and of a continuous conveyor belt (5) which is arranged between a reservoir (9) for the coating material and the application roller (4) and rests on the application roller (4). In order to be able to match the application width of the coating material to the respective belt width, at least two application bodies (10, 11) which dip into the coating material bath (13) and rest against the conveyor belt (5) above the bath level (14) are provided in the reservoir (9), which bodies extend over only a portion of the conveyor belt width, are arranged offset with respect to one another in the conveying direction of the conveyor belt (5) and are mounted displaceably with respect to one another transversely to the conveyor belt (5). <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Eine Vorrichtung zum dünnschichtigen Auftragen eines Beschichtungsmittels auf ein Band (1) besteht aus einer auf der Bandoberfläche abrollenden Auftragswalze (4) und aus einem zwischen einem Vorratsbehälter (9) für das Beschichtungsmittel und der Auftragswalze (4) angeordneten, an der Auftragswalze (4) anliegenden, endlosen Förderband (5). Um die Auftragsbreite des Beschichtungsmittels an die jeweilige Bandbreite anpassen zu können, sind im Vorratsbehälter (9) wenigstens zwei in das Beschichtungsmittelbad (13) eintauchende, oberhalb des Badspiegels (14) am Förderband (5) anliegende Auftragskörper (10, 11) vorgesehen, die sich nur über einen Teil der Förderbandbreite erstrecken, in Förderrichtung des Förderbandes (5) gegeneinander versetzt angeordnet und quer zum Förderband (5) gegeneinander verschiebbar gelagert sind.
