Abstract (en)
In a method for preheating a nozzle, in particular a nozzle for supplying metal between two bands, chains or the like of a mould of a casting machine having a travelling wall, at least one material with a temperature different from this metal is passed through the nozzle before the actual metal to be cast. Thus, before casting a ferrous metal, for example steel, a nonferrous metal, for example aluminium, is first passed through the nozzle, followed by a ferrous metal having a lower melting point than the ferrous metal to be cast.

Bei einem Verfahren zum Vorheizen einer Düse, insbesondere einer Düse zum Zuführen von Metall zwischen zwei Bänder, Ketten od.dgl. einer Kokille einer Giessmaschine mit mitlaufender Wandung, wird vor dem eigentlichen zu vergiessenden Metall zumindest ein Werkstoff mit einer anderen Temperatur als dieses Metall durch die Düse geleitet. So wird vor dem Giessen eines Eisenmetalls, beispielsweise Stahl, zuerst ein Nichteisenmetall, beispielsweise Aluminium, und diesem nachfolgend ein Eisenmetall mit einem niedrigern Schmelzpunkt als das zu vergiessende Eisenmetall durch die Düse geleitet.
