1. Method of manufacturing a vehicle wheel with substantially lateral wheel center and profiled rim from a disk shaped metal sheet, in which a blank (2) is formed in the shape of a disk with high edge (2b) by a first deep stamping operation, then the edge (2b) and the bottom (2a) of this dish are shaped so as to form respectively the rim and the center of the wheel characterized in that said deep stamping operation is carried out with reduction of this thickness (e1 ) of the edge (2b) with respect to the thickness (e2 ) of the initial disk by controlling the force (14) of retention of the blank to be stamped, and in that, in the second stamping operation, said blank is shaped so as to determine the final diameter (D) of the wheel center at the junction thereof with said edge (2b) and so as to place the whole of the material reserved for this wheel center externally of the plane of this diameter, before shaping said edge (2b) of the dish so as to confer thereon the profile of the rim and to shape the wheel center.

L'invention concerne un procédé et des outillages de fabrication d'une roue de véhicule à voile sensiblement latéral, à partir d'une tôle d'acier en forme de disque. Selon l'invention on réalise une ébauche en forme de cuvette à bord haut par une première opération d'emboutissage profond, puis l'on façonne le bord et le fond de cette cuvette pour former respectivement la jante et le voile de la roue, ladite opération d'emboutissage profond étant réalisée avec réduction de l'épaisseur du bord par rapport à l'épaisseur du disque initial. Par une seconde opération d'emboutissage, on façonne ladite ébauche pour déterminer le diamètre final du voile de roue à la jonction de celui-ci avec le bord susdit et pour placer la totalité de la matière réservée à ce voile à l'extérieur du plan du ce diamètre, puis l'on façonne en au moins une passe le bord susdit de la cuvette pour lui conférer le profile de la jante, et l'on façonne enfin le voile de roue en au moins une opération, l'ensemble des opérations d'emboutissage et de façonnage susdites étant réalisé au moyen d'outils de presse. Application à l'industrie des accessoires automobiles.
