It has a guide (3) for the wire comb (11) and a wheel (14) feeding it forward, the latter with teeth to a pitch matching that of the comb teeth. - A mechanism in the drive to the wheel adjusts the length fed forward each time. There can be a brake (21) acting permanently against the wheel, whose drive mechanism is of sufficient power to overcome the brake.

Ein Gerät mit einer Schneidvorrichtung zum Abtrennen von Stücken eines Drahtkamm-Bindungsmaterials zum Binden von Packen von Bögen mit Randperforation. Die abzutrennenden Stücke des Materials sollen eine ganze Anzahl von Zinken haben. Das Gerät hat eine Führung und ein Förderrad für das Material. Eine Bremse oder Arretierung sorgt für teilungsrichtiges Abtrennen des Materials. In der Antriebsverbindung zum Förderrad ist eine Einstellvorrichtung zum Einstellen der Förderlänge vorgesehen. Hierzu kann ein Sektorzahnrad dienen, das aus Teil-Sektorzahnrädern zusammengesetzt ist, die gegeneinander verdrehbar und festsetzbar sind. Zum Einstellen der Förderlänge kann stattdessen eine Exzenteranordnung dienen, bei der der radiale Exzenterabstand einstellbar ist und über eine Kette ein Kettenrad angetrieben wird, das seinerseits ein Klinkenrad zum Antrieb des Förderrades antreibt.
