Moreover, a feed piece, which can be displaced along a longitudinal groove against the force of a feed spring and carries a lowerable dog for engaging in one of the mating holes, and a locking device, which retains the feed piece in the tensioned position of the feed spring and can be triggered by a linkage mechanism and a triggering unit, are provided in the housing. Bei einer Crimpzange zum Verbinden von Kontaktelementen mit elektrischen Leitern, mit einem Griffstück, einer an diesem befestigten Halteplatte mit einer die Kontaktelemente aufnehmenden seitlichen Aussparung, an deren Oberseite Ausnehmungen ausgebildet sind, die mit Crimpstempeln zusammenwirken, die oberseitig von einer in der Halteplatte verschiebbar geführten Arbeitsplatte vorspringen, an die ein Handhebel angelenkt ist, dessen Anzugsbewegung die Arbeitsplatte relativ zur Halteplatte verschiebt und die Crimpstempel in die offenen Ausnehmungen hineinbewegt, ist zum selbsttätigen Vorschub eines in Abständen Kontaktelemente tragenden Blechstreifens mit Paßlöchern an der Arbeitsplatte ein Gehäuse befestigt und an den Handhebel ein Gelenkmechanismus angelenkt. Ferner sind im Gehäuse ein längs einer Längsnut gegen die Kraft einer Vorschubfeder verschiebbares, einen versenkbaren Mitnehmer zum Eingriff in eines der Paßlöcher tragendes Vorschubstück und eine dieses in der gespannten Lage der Vorschubfeder haltende, über einen Gelenkmechanismus und eine Auslöseeinheit auslösbare Rastvorrichtung vorgesehen. Dabei wird das Vorschubstück während der Anzugsbewegung des Handhebels in seine hintere Endlage gebracht und dort verrastet. Während der Rückbewegung des Handhebels wird dann die Rastvorrichtung gelöst und das Vorschubstück freigegeben.
