1. Ignition distributor for a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine, having a shaft (3) which can be made to rotate by the internal combustion engine, furthermore having a rotor (6), which is arranged on the shaft (3), is provided with a radially protruding distributor arm (8) and by which ignition voltage pulses are distributed to fixed electrodes (10) which are arranged in a sealing cap (18) of insulating material placed on the housing of the ignition distributor, the rotor protruding through a central opening of an insulating shield (20) arranged between the sealing cap (18) and the housing and being connected to the shaft (3), characterized in that the rotor (6) is connected to the shaft (3) by a screw connection, in that a diaphragm-like emitter element (15), which is part of a signal emitter (17) providing signals for initiating ignition, is clamped between rotor (6) and shaft (3), and in that the insulating shield (20), which is assembled from at least two shell-shaped individual parts (21, 22) and is secured in shape and position by the sealing cap (18) covering the rotor (6) and the emitter element, fits into the free space between rotor (6) and signal emitter (17).

Es wird ein Zündverteiler für eine Mehrzylinder-Brennkraftmaschine vorgeschlagen, der eine durch die Brennkraftmaschine in Rotation versetzbare Welle (3) aufweist. Auf der Welle (3) ist ein Läufer (6) angeordnet, durch den Zündspannungsimpulse auf Festelektroden (10) verteilt werden. Außerdem ist auf der Welle (3) ein Geberelement (15) angeordnet, das Bestandteil eines Signale zur Zündauslösung liefernden Signalgebers (17) ist. Erfindungsgemäß ist zwischen dem Läufer (6) und dem Signalgeber (17) ein Isolationsschirm (20) angeordnet, der sich aus Einzelteilen (21, 22) zusammensetzt. Man erhält dadurch eine leicht montierbare Hochspannungsbarriere, so daß der Abstand zwischen dem Läufer (6) und dem Signalgeber (17) klein und demzufolge die Bauhöhe des Zündverteilers niedrig gewählt werden kann.
