1. Process for manufacturing ingots and castings, a melt of a relatively high-melting alloy, in particular an iron-, nickel- or cobalt-based alloy, being cast by top or bottom casting in a stationary multi-part ingot mould (2) with a base plate (1), and whereupon the casting is released from the mould at the place of casting, characterized in that the casting, in the solidifying state, is released from the mould in at least two steps, in a first step, the outer skin already being solidified and the core being liquid in the lower region, this region, in particular the base of the casting, being released from the mould over its entire periphery, and a remaining part, at least the head part of the casting, remaining further in one part (8) of the ingot mould (2) until it has completely solidifed, after which the head part of the casting is released from the mould in a last step.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Block- und Formgußstücken, wobei eine Schmelze einer höher schmelzenden Legierung, insbesondere einer Eisen-, Nickel-, Kobalt- od. dgl. -Basislegierung im fallenden, vorzugsweise steigenden Guß, in zumindest eine feststehende mehrteilige Kokille (2), gegebenenfalls mit Bodenplatte (1), vorzugsweise mit Haube gegossen wird, und worauf das Gußstück am Gußort entformt wird, wobei das Gußstück in zumindest zwei Schritten im erst teilweise erstarrten Zustand entformt wird, wobei in einem ersten Schritt bei bereits erstarrter Gußhaut und flüssigem Kern im unteren Bereich diesen Bereich, insbesondere der Fuß des Gußstückes, vollumfänglich entformt wird, und ein Restteil, zumindest der Kopfteil des Gußstückes weiter in einem Teil der Kokille (8), gegebenenfalls mit aufgesetzter Haube, verbleibt.
