[origin: EP0225068A2] A microprocessor in an electronic postage meter is mounted in a hybrid circuit 10 together with various peripheral circuits, so that the complete control circuit of the postage meter is essentially within the one circuit. The hybrid circuit 10 is mounted on a mother board 16 resulting in easy replacement and also leading to a very compact arrangement.
